I've done over 100 runs using ice spells and have no problem killing dharok without prayer. If you pay attention he can get MAX one hit if you splash on him. All you need to do then is run to the opposite corner then continue to the other side of the coffin. Most of the time that I splashed he would sort of "lag out" when he came to hit me and I would get away unscathed. I have no clue why that happened but it happens often enough that it wasn't a freak occurence. If you find it hard paying attention while killing dharok then you obviously need prayer. I would recommend using your highest ice spell to freeze the target (so you get more casts per freeze which speeds things up) then following up with ice burst (2 chaos and 3 waters per cast is a paltry sum when you see the greatly increased accuracy). You can recast as soon as you see their hp bar disappear. I wait another second or two on dharok just to be save. If you need any other tips feel free to ask. I no longer use ancients because the increased speed is not worth the extra cost. I can say that ice spells are a LOT more fun than slayer dart but to each their own i guess.

I was fishing in catherby when I was about lvl 50 or so. All of the people around me were about the same level. A level 112 popped up from the ladder and started calling everybody noobs. Nobody around me knew how to get there (I still don't lol but apparently somewhere around blacks). He took his rune plate and legs off and dropped them and laughed at us. Here is where the funny part comes in: I had just got done with a level one treasure trail and still had the tele runes in my inventory so I telegrabbed his plate AND legs before he could run to them. EVERYBODY there was laughing at him so hard. I was getting dizzy myself from laughing because he teled out and followed me calling me a scammer and whatnot. First person ever to go on my ignore list I believe lol. It is fun when people drop things there on purpose and watch the mad dash for airs and laws. :lol: I pulled the same thing on someone in the cage random event thing. I dropped rune plate, rune axe, and a bunch of mage longs on the ground in front of him. It was funny when he started freaking out (he was like level 50ish) and I told him that he could get the rune plate free if he could make it back to me in an hour (I was in Yanille) but I guess he was too lazy or couldn't work the map. :wink: Basically I am saying nice story and here's mine along the same line. :oops:

I'm just saying I don't think Jagex really coppied your exact idea Leesters. I don't post much but you do seem to think you're important posting blog's about how you lost all this stuff. People die on runescape everyday.. It was nice to see you didn't cry and slit your wrists over it. Paul and others from Jagex browse these forums. I wouldn't be shocked to find that they liked Leesters' idea and added it. They take ideas from all over and use them so why not here? I'm not begrudging Jagex for doing so, as it is a savvy financial move for any company, but I am merely pointing out that this being Leesters' idea is FAR from improbable. ON-TOPIC: One of the smarter ideas put into practice by Jagex, methinks. :P I always thought that ranges > fires but Rogue's Den is just too fast to worry about the wasted xp/gp.

I did something similiar and also recieved runes. I HARDLY think that you can set any sort of precedent on one "confirmed" case and one "hearsay" case. Two occurances do not point towards ANYTHING because the sample group is so incredibly small. Barrows theories are all well and good if they are backed with some form of research but this hardly qualifies as such, sorry. If you did at least a hundred runs 30 minutes each and a hundred at 10 minutes each then you can say a theory with at least a LITTLE bit of backing but to just pull this out of your... well you get where I am going with this. NO research = RUMOR SOME research = theory TONS and TONS of research = accepted "truth" Do some research and post your findings otherwise this is another of countless Barrows' rumors based on essentially nothing. :roll:

I will just edit in my answers to prevent any confusion: All good questions, though. I don't think that it is worth the weight or space to haul a cannon around but it would greatly speed up brothers' kills and kill count and/or greatly assist a lower leveled player to kill them.

I have 190+ qp and got EXACTLY 2 minutes to gather from the second that I was off of "auto-pilot" so I do not think that qp effects either time involved or xp per tear (6 ea i believe)... so I wonder what qp ACTUALLY effects if anything...?

Really? I wonder how long thats been available. lol. Hidden updates suck. Also, twin brothers don't multi attack you now. So if you have two brothers (twin or not) only one will attack you at a time. If a rat is attacking you, the brother will wait. If a brother is attacking you, the rats will not attack anymore. The semi-multi attack mode is gone at the Barrows. I'll test the cannon myself. Thats a biggie, wanna see it first hand. Good guide for those of us who are cheap and patient. Two things, though: 1. You should mention what to do if you get Kharil or Ahrim in the tunnels (Yes I understand that you should simply kill them lol but it should be mentioned) and what you should do if a brother pops up before you can get to a safe spot. 2. Change the part that says "bare with me" to "bear with me" unless you actually want us to strip down with ya, lol. I usually don't care but the mental image of this typo was funny enough to comment on. :P

I think you're wrong? The more quest points you have, the longer you can stay in there. Thats what I thought. Well it seems rather simple to test. I have 192 qp i think (i will check first of course) so if there is somebody with roughly half of that we can both time how long we get. I will check and edit that in.

I don't know if this was changed from a previous update but you CAN use a cannon in the tunnels. I used about 10k c balls while I was down there.

I don't mind if you call it test X or whatever lol but please include my name and the other information that I gave you. I am also conducting research along these lines myself but would like to complete it before I post any information. If we have any crazy math whizzes that would like to crunch a ton of numbers feel free to message me here so I can give you that info when I am ready to post. Preferably those taking some kind of college math course. Also I would reccomend that you do static numbers as opposed to a random amount each run. Good luck and have fun. 8)

Also not near Fally north or Fally park. Not north of lumby or north, south, east or west of varrock. Not in gnome place. Searched the whole map and I can't find a trail like the one on the northside of the map. Looks like it is near 3 oak or higher trees but thats no help =[

What so me and a few mates go to a multi area, start pking someone and before they die they skull. What if they did have auto retal, or they accidentaly attacked? No way, a ban for pking people ?? Thats ridiculous A ban for pking people WOULD be ridiculous. A ban for BUG ABUSE is not. If they are doing things to OBVIOUSLY cheat (i.e. running up to people and kicking them to see if they auto-retaliate) then they would obviously deserve to be banned. Being a pker doesn't give you special rights to be above the rules. Trust me when I say that you (not specifically you, the valor, or NON-cheating pkers) are not as "ub3r l33t" as you think you are. All bug abusers should be banned REGARDLESS of their excuse for abusing the bug or the location in which they do so. As a side note to the legit pkers: I don't like you. You make my green dragon killing and clue finding harder. BUT that does NOT mean that I don't respect what you do. Your "job" is much harder than, say, woodcutting. You have a lot more patience than I do because I have been pking 6 times TOTAL and found the xp horrible, the risk too great, and finding compatible adversaries too time consuming. I can understand the thrill of the hunt and would join in if I could handle the downtime involved. I HIGHLY doubt that the people posting here (including Leesters) consider themselves cheated because of getting "out manuevered" or "out skilled" or even "out smarted" by a legit pker. They feel cheated because the manner in which they lost their items was due to others cheating. We (non-pkers) may not like what you (legitimate pkers) do but we accept it and respect it (well most do). That being said if you try to pk me I will use every (legal) tool that I have to my advantage to kill you and/or escape as is my right. Thank You for the warning! I am sure that this post has already saved and WILL save a bunch of gp from falling into the hands of cheaters. If anybody that has read my post about jagex/macroers I hope that they are being just as devious as I said was POSSIBLE in this... It would be nice if they were just scribbling down names of all the lame bug abusers and prepping a nice fat "cheating pkers ban". Cheating in ANY form is wrong and should be punished equally. It would be INCREDIBLE (not likely but still :roll: ) if they banned a couple thousand of THESE cheating scum. I hope to see some really angry lvl 100+'s crying about "unfair bans", lol. And to all of you idiots that say that "Don't go to the wildy if you don't plan on losing everything" I say this: A bug is a bug no matter where it is. How would you feel if there was a bug that was just as dangerous OUTSIDE of the wildy? ANYWHERE that there is risk of dieing (barrows, tzhaar, KQ, etc.) people should be content with a bug that would rob them? Tell me how you would feel if you were a victim of the following situation: You are innocently killing Dharok. Someone spams you with teleother. You die. Oh wait... THIS ALREADY EXISTS!!! It is the EXACT same situation except you need "accept aid" off as opposed to "auto retaliate" off. In BOTH situations there is a lot of risk involved which the victim knowingly accepts but is cheated out of their items by someone who is ABUSING A BUG!!! It doesn't matter if it is in the wildy or not. Known risk is known risk. Bug abuse is bug abuse, and cheaters are CHEATERS. EXACTLY^^^^ I am 102 combat and 63 prayer (sig lol) and I only ALWAYS use 2 doses on Dharok. If I am getting owned I will also use 1 more on verac/ahrim/kharil but that is only about 25% of the time. :wink:

Put them on your ignore list and you will be happier I assure you. I once got my character locked. It was totally my fault, though. I got my friend hooked on this. He had only played for two days so I thought that I would be safe playing a trick on him. I told him that I bought the account off of ebay for $10 (lvl 90+ 1500+ total) and I lived in california. He was freaking out telling me that I would never sell it for that and that I must have hacked it. I started laughing and called him a insult that nobody else has ever heard and he says "Dude... I like totally used that button on the bottom and reported u like 13 times!!" I thought for sure nothing would happen but, lo and behold, my account was locked. :oops: After 4 appeals I told them my account wasn't worth the headache that they were giving me... and they unlocked it lol. Go figure :roll:
