One could argue that religions generally spread a negative view on humans, for example the concept of sin is unattacked mostly, as if it was a fact that people really are evil from heart and we only get along because of (and only because of) God. This (maybe) on false grounds created myth affects everyone and one could argue that this has a negative impact on people and their societies. Just a random idea why someone could despise religion, there are probably more but I thought to bring this one up. Most of the reasons to despise religion are very hard to back with hard proof, so they remain only as very vague observations. I think.

I personally can't understand how one can believe in something that can't be understood. How do religions answer those questions? So far I've only gathered from them, that our purpose here is to wait for the armageddon to begin. #-o Atheism's asnwer is simple (or if it isn't atheism's answer, it is my own): There is no purpose. And it is ok that way. I agree with the rest I think :(

I don't see homework as a waste of time, because every minute you put into it is away from reading for tests etc At least after you get into a real school where the stuff being taught isn't that easy.

If all else fails if nordic culture fascinates you if studying abroad sounds like your thing if you don't want to pay that many grands for your studies... Study in Finland! (The highest level of patriotism one can show today is advertising their country online.) Only pay for the flights in and out, 300-600e/month for rent, some extra for food and supplies and your set. Why pay too much when you could get the same and even more for less.

Blogs, web logs, online public diaries are maybe an older phenomen than is often believed but one that has only now been widely recognized everywhere. Someone who has the time could find out how many there are believed to be out there, my rough guess is... few millions? There are ofcourse many types of blogs, and while each naturally differs from the others, there are some rules too. These blogs cover all possible topics, and thousands more are made daily. Most problems with religion/ churches I have are legislative. In Finland: An underage member of a church should be allowed to quit if he so chooses. Teaching religion in schools should be completely voluntary to the pupils, non-dependant on the parents' wishes. Churches shouldn't be favored (<-> no special position compared to other organizations) Can't think of more tbh
