25-Nov-2009 - AoG - Single-Player Campaign
it takes 3 black knights/rangers/mages to take down a lion. They are slow so it's easy to get a slug near them for the last 10hp. Completed the last one, now I'm trying to get all gold medals.

25-Nov-2009 - AoG - Single-Player Campaign
[hide=Hints, tips, tricks, spoilers] Port phasmatys is easy with black knights. I just rushed all units to the north-east portal and left the southern houses to be there. Captured the two houses near the north portal and the tower and the house on the east side of the map. Then just rushed to their portal. Where you get mages: I put a barbarian lurking through the forest and captured the tower and the house north-east of the mages' portal. Remember to use your spells. (fire of rain on the first paladins/birds that come your way, gives you some time to capture the tower southwest of your portal) Gargoyles is easy with mages. Keep an eye on how far the hellhounds can run; you don't want to leave your barbarians to be killed by them. Use the vampyric blood on a black knight and spam mages to kill the gargoyles and greaters. Seaside mages + hellhounds is easy with gargoyles: the hellhounds have no rangers and the seaside mages are already defeated by the hellhounds when you get there to finish things off. In Morton you want to summon 3 or four barbarians in the beginning. And try not to get your hellhounds killed. Use the bridger-spell in Crossing the salve. Where you get greaters: You have to capture the southern portal before the whiteknight gets to you. Summon a ranger to kill the birds and use all the spells you need to get the portal (I used fire rain to weaken the monk and the two paladins, vampyric blood on a barbarian chieftain to kill one of them and then distracted the whiteknight to attack my ranger instead of the barbarian capturing the portal.) After you have the portal just spam mages and rangers to kill the annoying flying things and push forward; at some point you'll have enough rangers to push to the next portal and it should be simple after that. Mages and rangers are more effective against the flying lvl 40's than gargoyles. And some random hints: You are more likely to win battles if you fight closer to your portal. It isn't always wise to rush to fight straight ahead, but to wait that the enemy gets closer. You get new troops to the fight faster and can summon slugs to finish off the enemies that get too close to your portal. Use necromancers to get skeletons AFTER you've won the battle: after there are no longer enemies around to level up on your necromancer. Use skeletons to block the path of your enemies: especially protect a house-capturing barbarian by placing skeletons to his sides. [/hide]

What's the logic in this treasure trail riddle
"I'm sure they will let ya buy some things here, as long you are in good 'ealth" ok so I know it points to Lletya... but WHY? Most of the riddles have some point, they give a real clue, but I don't get how one could decypher this without practically going through every shop in runescape. ealth -> Lletya is a long shot. Thanks for your help

Animal Rights: Where Do You Stand?
I'm against animal cruelty in general. BUT I wouldn't have had a summer job this year, had I respected animal rights more than the job opportunity. I worked at a biological research center, that had ongoing studies with different kinds of fish and voles. I had to build cages for them and help the research in general. I fed the animals, washed their cages, prepared cages for new animals, helped check the vole-traps etc etc. I have actively participated in animal testing. I think it was a cool experience; a really interesting job with varying tasks.

Today I realised that I had lost dragon boots and a warrior ring too =) Went to get more rune defenders Did most of ardy achievement diary Completed hunt for red raktuber (liked it very much) Started two other quests. Almost died after using the ardy lever, revenant teleblocked and poisoned me, I was going to let it kill me, I thought I had nothing valuable with me, then I saw the magic secateurs and started eating strawberries that I had just picked so I could plant the watermelons needed for the diary, as fast as possible, and was happy that the secateurs had a slash-attack so I could cut the web, still eating strawberries and running and eating and oh my god i have less than 10hp I don't want to go through the process of getting these secateurs back again aaah! panic. But I made it to the mage bank safely. Overall a better day than yesterday.

Genesis and The Big Bang
You...you just said that everything would be better if we were wholly ignorant of our surroundings. And compared knowledge to hard drugs. Just taking new perspectives and being openminded here! Not saying you should try it once, who knows where this gate leads me.
-
Genesis and The Big Bang
Can we apply the "gate theory" here? First you take the lesser drugs, then you move onto the harder stuff and at some point you are a complete drug addict. Same thing with rational thinking First someone teaches you logic, you learn implication, falsification, burden of proof etc etc. Eventually you use logic in everything you do in your life, and find yourself being miserable anyways. You shouldn't have taken the red pill, you should've said "no" when they tried to teach you logic the first time. You could've been happier if you hadn't needed to know so much about the world.

Perakp's blog
Thanks for the compliment =) (I just advanced selfconfidence level 10) My irl name is Pera and kp were just random letters I put after it. I also have accounts perapk, perakp jr and perapk jr, only to stop people from trying to inpersonate me in rs, and because it's fun having the whole set. In the years of playing I've found out that "kp" means "korean pride". I didn't know what pking meant when I made the account, and I'm happy my main is "kp" and not "pk". People could've gotten the wrong impression that I knew something about pking :\ An exciting pain in the arse The first news: I'm p2p again, atleast for a month. When I "quit" rs in january I sold all of my items and dropped most of my p2p stuff (excluding fire cape (phew) and slayer cape). I had 200m+ before getting 99 smithing and yesterday I had some 90+m. I have no chance buying the items I had a year ago at the moment, but it doesn't worry me. The major pain is getting back the untradeable items. It is also exciting, because I have to run all around rs getting them: dramien staff, ectophial, ring of charos, sextants, watches and charts, all the achievement diary items, lanterns, slayer equipment, lyres, monkey greegrees etc etc. I'm also completing the updates of 2009, I have a few new quests and minigames to check out. Already completed the chosen commander, and am now working to defeat the Red axe. I've liked them very much :) Is the bandos room or the zanik's crossbow good for anything after the quest? edit: The ending of the dwarf quest was a surprise to me. oh well.

Genesis and The Big Bang
This is totally offtopic but I thought of this a few weeks back, and now after reading that ^ I thought of it again. There was this Finnish priest (a man) that got his gender changed (was it last year?) Ofcourse it caused distress in the church, because it is viewed unnatural and against-gods-will to change one's gender. She still works as a priest(ess?), good for her. But now to the point: if you (not especially you, gorgoroth, but any "you" out there) aren't allowed to change your physical attributes (because they are holy, created by God and therefore perfect etc etc), then christians shouldn't take the swineflu vaccine either? amirite? To me, as a whole, science/(atheism) just makes more sense than any religion. (I got my first quran from the library this week, it was interesting for the first 20 pages but then it got repetetive. Don't know if it's worth the time reading it..)

What kind of games would you like to see in Funorb?
The long debate has been between two camps: those who love grand games like arcanists, aog, kal and ss, and those who like the smaller multiplayer games and the single player games. Some argue that Kal and Ss lean too much on grinding, which shouldn't be the point of funorb, but to have fun playing games. Others say that the internet is full of java/flash minigames, and a company like jagex should focus on what they can do best that others can not. Also should jagex make new copies of older classics (yet another platformer, yet another tetris) or try to innovate and make something that has never been seen before (like there was something we hadn't played already) Personally, I'd love to play reversi/othello on funorb. (just copypaste the code from runescape's gamesroom, how hard can it be?!)
