  1. XP has that limit of 32gb because of performance for some reason. Some versions of Windows don't have that limit, some have smaller limit and some have larger.
  2. The enclosed part of the PSU should be the only part that might have capacitors that are still live if the computer is unplugged, which it should be if you are going to work in it. Not really much chance of getting shocked. 80gb? Destroy it and get the magnet out of it, that's all it is good for anymore. I don't think you've understood what Dupin said at all. You won't receive an electric shock, but you can easily damage motherboards or other components by letting them either build up static electricity, or being clumsy and letting them hit each other with enough force. 'You'd be fried' clearly means you'd damage it beyond repair, in this context. Also, are you seriously saying that 80GB isn't useful storage? I put an 8GB one in mine, simply because there's virtually no drawbacks to adding them if they work. 80GB's useful for putting backups of your documents and pictures folder. It wasn't clear at all, how you describe it makes more sense but I still don't get that feeling from the post. 80gb is 80gb, if you really need that extra space then go for it. It just really isn't all that convenient to store anything on 80gigs. You'll soon run out and need more anyways (depending on what you do). I had an 80 gig hdd in my server for a while because I thought like that as well, 80 gigs extra was 80 gigs extra. I ended up wasting a lot of time finding what collection of files fit on that small of a hdd, moving them around as the collection gets too big ect... Eventually you'll end up in my situation which is around 5 hdds all less than 500gigs with stuff randomly around on them (because they are there, and hey, 320 gigs is 320 gigs), and it just gets to be a pain. I have two 1.5tb hdd that I can keep my biggest collections on so those aren't quite a problem any more. EDIT: Plus the magnet is fun to play with.
  3. Eh, old enough to remember seeing your name a lot.

  5. It should be illegal to play a ES game on anything but PC.
  6. Yep Chinese President Hu Jintao. He's also bowed to Emperor Akihito of Japan and King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia. He likes to show his head in submission to all these foreign leaders. Clinton taking over his press conference should be no surprise. Are seriously this stupid or what? Bowing is a sign of honour in those cultures. He did exactly what he was supposed to. EDIT: There is plenty, plenty of stuff to get angry at him about. This was just one of those idiotic things that all the haters latched on to because it is an easy talking point when in fact he did exactly what he was supposed to.
  7. That is perfect timing, it will be about time to upgrade my computer again then. The only question now is do I change my signature? I haven't changed it since I put that pic in a year before Oblivion came out.
  8. I've tried every different way to shave and with multiple different razors/creams. I just have really bad skin, my neck will still have some red rash spots every single time. Now I am using a Mach3 razor and sensitive Gillette shaving cream. Next step is to try straight razors I guess.
  9. Can't really give you a why other than "it improves some."
  10. Oh my GOD   Either that's fake or I'm moving to wherever you are. I think he is just connected to the web server that is hosting speedtest.net at that location, though I am not sure why upload is that low if that's the case. I get around 90down and up at work (local ISP), here I get around 3m down 768k up, which is what I am billed for.
  11. I live because I don't want to not exist. There is no ultimate purpose for life, it just happened.
  12. I never used followers in Morrowind, Oblivion or Fallout 3. They are just too much trouble.
  13. I enjoyed Oblivion, not quite as much as Morrowind but I did enjoy it. A bigger, more diverse playing area would be nice. Not really all that big of a deal if they do a sequel to Oblivion's story or not, I didn't think that either game really had a good main story. It was kind of just there. Oblivion needed a lot of fixing in regards to gameplay levelling wise. They did better with F3.
  14. I have no idea where that stat came from, but I would just ignore it. Neither of those hdds will get anywhere near that rate. Technically SSDs do have a shorter lifespan data wise, but there are no moving parts that generally are the problem with HDDs so they will probably last longer. Early SSDs you might have had a problem with that but still probably not for most users. EDIT: What are you buying this drive for? What's your computer usage like also? There's no contest you should have an SSD for a boot drive, but depending on what else you do it really changes what other sort of drive(s) you would be best with.
  15. They are two different mediums and you shouldn't judge one based on the other. Yes, the comic is one of the best comics ever (I prefer Sandman over it) and the movie is not one of the best movies ever, but it is still an enjoyable movie.
  16. SSD kill velociraptors as boot drives. Get an SSD for boot drive, then other regular drives for storage.
  17. Watchmen - First time watching the Director's cut. First half of the movie was better than the regular cut, but then you still have 2 hours to go and see why they cut a lot of it. Everything during the beginning was more clear (thinking from the point of view of someone who hasn't seen the movie/read the comic) so that was good, the second half was about the same clarity wise, just didn't seem to flow very well. All over I am definitely happy with it, I really liked the theatrical cut too though.
  18. I mostly just watched it because of the Pixies song  . I do already have Le charme discret de la bourgeoisie so that will probably be the next one of his I watch. Have you seen it yet?
  19. They are all kind of good in their own way, third one is probably the "worst" but it is also probably the most enjoyable. Plus Jessica Biel... all I can say is daaaamn. @Range_This11: Buñuel's movies are pretty awesome, at least the one or two I've seen. Actually I just checked your link there and went to his profile, apparently I am thinking of someone else. The only Luis Buñuel movie I've seen is his short Un Chien Andalou, which was definitely interesting.
  20. I've been meaning to buy the magnet balls for years now, never got around to it. Always end up seeing them on thinkgeek and then spend an hour looking through all their stuff again, then give up because I can't decide. I have a Rubik's cube, still need to learn how to do it. Got it once following the instructions in the packet, took about 20 min. Didn't retain the steps though so I will have to do it a few more times. I used to have medical type silly putty to play with. My sister got it when she had an operation on her hand, just to play with and strengthen the muscles again. When she was done she gave them to me. Once is much more pliable than the other (you can set it on the desk and a day later it will be a huge pancake, whereas the thicker one might still just be a small circle).
  21. Haven't had many problems with many of the tech products I've ever purchased. I once had an ASUS A8N-VM motherboard with a bad video card slot, which at first cause me to think bad video card so I got another one, and by the time all was said and done it was too late to do anything with the motherboard. Ate that $65, hasn't caused me to hate ASUS any though. I still bought motherboards, monitors and DVD-RW drives from them since that. My Philips DVP3980 upconverting DVD player just stopped working, it's a little under two years old, which is not a good lifespan for these devices (should be a few years at least). My Kindle acts weird at times, I think that just might be the way it is though, I don't think there is anything wrong with it. Those are just three random things from a ton of devices I have purchased over the years.
  22. Well starting off season 1 of Universe it didn't really feel all that much like Stargate. If you really want to watch it but don't want to watch anything else I guess it's a place to start, but really you should just watch them all  . There is a decent amount of stuff in it that you won't get, but they do make these new series like this for people to jump in on so it isn't too bad.
  23. Great movie. The timing suck, though  I'm guessing that is probably why they watched it. I am doing a Nielsen marathon this weekend. Easy A - When I first saw something related to this movie a long time ago just judging by that stuff I would have expected a really crappy generic teenage comedy. Then after it was out I heard great things about it from everyone. It was actually somewhere in the middle. Had I not heard great things about it I would have been really impressed with it, however without the praise there is a good chance I never would have watched it. Anyways Emma Stone is hot.
  24. Panasonic 46" G10. It has been excellent so far. Great black levels, and great colours. The only thing that I would kind of like is true 24p performance rather than doing 3:2 pulldown. DLNA support would be good and everything, I just have no use for it since I got that on my PS3.
  25. Hey I watched that last night as well. When my friends and I drink at my house we always put some sort of movie on in the background since I have a nice TV, just for the good visuals you get out of blu-ray. However we ended up just watching the movie instead because it is so awesome.
