After watching Shaun of the Dead a few days ago I got an urge to watch more zombie films. Looking back, the only two that I think I have seen so far has been that one and 28 Days Later.... Normally I don't pay too much attention to these sorts of movies, I recall not being all that thrilled with 28 Days Later.... What I am looking for is the "best of the best" in zombie films, so any suggestions?

After reading that I figured I should just go ahead and order it, so I did :D . Gandhi - A dramatic biography, you learn a lot and are kept entertained. Overall a very interesting movie, and it was made pretty well. However I don't see myself watching it over and over again. I don't think it will be as interesting the second time through. It's kind of long too, but it goes pretty quickly. Ferris Bueller's Day Off - This movie is for some reason much more entertaining and enjoyable than you would think. It's really a stupid plot, but it turns out to be hilarious. There are some stupid parts to it though. Still you should see it.

I thought Carey did great in the Truman Show also, and that is more of a serious movie than a comedy.

I seriously doubt the Manager was about to chase you out. I bring other fast food into McDonalds all the time, since I don't eat McDonalds. There's never a problem. The people working there hardly even glance at it, it probably happens all the time.

Depends on what kind of company. I filled out applications at a lot of places, and they never contacted me again. Last week I sent out a resume to a company, and they got back to me the next day (a resounding no, they went as far as to say not only was I not good enough for the spot I was applying for, but I wouldn't have a spot anywhere in their company :o ).

I think they said they were going to do five seasons.

Anyone else notice the irony here? Anyways, Daan's right, this is a PS3 vs PS2 topic. Personally, I wouldn't buy a PS2. PS3 is already out, and is (somewhat) backwards compatible. With firmware updates all the problems should be fixed eventually. If you can, you should get a PS3. You may want to wait a little while and see if they announce a price drop, theres rumors going around about that.

Oh that will be good, in March I should be able to afford going to the theater again :P . I'll have to check out Le SamouraÃÆÃâÃâï also, it is always nice to see Criterion movies, since normally they are pretty easy to find. Once again I might have to wait for a month or two but I'll put it on my list. Those sound really familiar, did you mention them recently? Yep, I just checked back two pages and there it was. I remembered the review, just not the title :D . A Beautiful Mind - I always enjoy seeing this movie. It's about a mathematician, and I find that pretty interesting. Just like Pi. Also, it has Jennifer Connelly in it and she is hot. "That's My Bush!" - After the first episode I was kind of "meh." I expected a lot more, I mean it's Trey Parker and Matt Stone. In the back of my mind I knew I shouldn't have doubted them, I was completely hooked by the end of the second episode. It is awesome, not as great as some of their other work but still hilarious. What's most obvious is making fun of Bush (kind of), what's not as obvious (still pretty obvious though) is that it is mocking sitcoms. I thought it was awesome.

KOTOR, if you've played it you know what I am talking about.

There are so many I want to mention, I'm just kind of randomly picking them. Laberinto del Fauno, El Reservoir Dogs Casablanca Vita ̮̬̉̉ bella, La Pi All those are expected, so I feel I should have one that no one else would pick :P . Far and Away, yep you can all have your laughs now but I really enjoy it :wink: .

Movie topics go in the M&M forum. TV topics go here, in OT. Probably should pick one and just have it about that. I would suggest going with movie endings, since TV series sometimes don't have an ending.

I don't think I could choose a best actor, there are a lot that I think do great jobs. Also, in some parts they do great, but in others they don't. Then there's the other case, where the part really doesn't require great acting skills. A good example is Arnold Schwarzenegger. He isn't that great of an actor, but can you see anyone else playing The Terminator? Or anyone else in Predator? Even in Kindergarten Cop, he was great for the part because it was really, really odd to see him play it. After that mini-rant I was going to say something along the lines of "but I'll pick one I think is best anyways", and mention someone, but I don't think I can. Worst actor I won't say anything, I don't take part in "worst" topics. Generally they are filled with people mentioning popular and well liked people/movies/songs just to be cool or something. Anyways, they are never anywhere near the worst ever.

Dibs on being the popemobile driver! I'd tap you on the head with a blunt objected thus rendering you unconscious, and then I'd hijack the popemobile with the pope still in it.

Once "The Pixies - Where is my Mind?" song came on it was awesome, I still get that awesome feeling whenever I think about it.

I can't find it on any of the usual sites, or on DVD. Might have to wait a while if you can't see it in theaters. I wish I had a place around here that played these sorts of movies.

Better than I expected, not as good as I had hoped.

For those interested: the last big movie quote topic. There are a ton of great ones, I would probably have a lot of Star Wars ones and to go on the other end of the spectrum a lot of Casablanca ones. But since we are only allowed to choose one, I am going to have to pick it from my favourite movie, Donnie Darko: Frank: "28 days, 6 hours, 42 minutes and 12 seconds. that is when the world will end."

I'll have to give that a watch then, I really enjoyed All About Eve. I'm sad today... I saw YET ANOTHER trailer for a CGI talking animal film :( Was it Ratatouille? This one I actually kind of want to see because it is a Brad Bird movie. He directed/wrote The Iron Giant and The Incredibles, both of which are much better than you would think. The Incredibles is actually #101 on the IMDb TOp 250. 8ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâý - The first scene was very interesting, drew me in right away. But after that until about half the way through the movie I found myself getting distracted and not paying much attention. Once the wife came that drew me back in for some reason. Anyways, by the end I was really enjoying it, and I (think) I understood it. I will have to watch it again sometime, I think I will understand it much better the second time through. I thought Marcello Mastroianni did a great job portraying the main character, and I always enjoy seeing Claudia Cardinale (very, very hot). A good movie for anyone who really likes cinema, it puts you right in the director's seat. The Truman Show - I still think I am in something like this (all you are probably just 3 or 4 different people acting like hundreds of people) but my show is much less interesting than Truman's. This is a really interesting movie, and Jim Carrey does a great job even though it really isn't a comedy. It has some funny parts, but mostly it's not a comedy. The Lost Weekend - A Billy Wilder movie, so of course it is going to be good. I Didn't think I was going to care too much for the story at the beginning, don't really care about alcoholics all that much. It ended up being pretty good. The ending wasn't all that great, but good enough I guess. I think I would have enjoyed it more if it ended up differently.

I actually have been having a lot of fun with Red Steel, if it would work better I would enjoy it more than on a PC. It can be a little too janky though.

Notti di Cabiria, Le - A film by Federico Fellini, I think it is the first of his I have seen. Overall a pretty good story, a pretty good movie. What really makes it worth it is the end. I saw it coming, but still it was pretty good. Won't say anything else so I don't give it away. Darkman - From the man who brought you the Evil Dead trilogy, and the Spider-Man trilogy. Much like those it is pretty much a hero centric action movie. It was OK, nothing special. Definitely not bad, just not anything to get excited about. ]It Happened One Night - A Frank Capra film, so I knew it was going to be good. A pretty good romance movie, but the "rich woman falls for regular man" story can get a little stale after a while. It seems like I see that scenario a lot in older movies. The story was interesting enough to keep me entertained the whole time.

So this is a any job that we can get regardless of whether or not we are good enough to do it? I'd be a director, or an actor.

The best game right now for the Wii is Wii Sports. My friends and I have never had this much fun playing a video game as we did playing tennis tournaments against each other. We've played a lot of games also.
