  1. I was really aggravated also. I had the reply window open up and was trying to think of something to say, but couldn't think of anything and just yelled "[bleep] it" out loud. Then I calmed down and thought about how stupid I looked at that moment, which made me lol.
  2. I agree, half the times leaving posts are from people who have been here less than a year. That fadfsdfsdfsd one was hilarious, he thought people were leaving because of him. These newer posters really need to deflate their view of themselves.
  3. All my fed tax return money goes straight back to pay for my state tax, since it doesn't come right out of my paycheck since I work in a different state. Anyways, I would say save it for college also.
  4. Have you seen Bringing up Baby? That was the first movie I saw her in, and she is annoying as hell in it. That probably ruined my image of her forever. I guess I shouldn't have taken it as bad as I did, since that was the character she was playing. Yep, had to check it out right after I posted. I'll still see it, but my expectations are low. Maybe that's better, going into the movie with very low expectations. Then if it just turns out to be bad I will be happy :P . It looks better, and I like the search being at the top. The only real added functionality that I notice that I may use is when you are looking at actors/actresses that have movies in multiple decades, there is a quick link for them. Actually the recommendations allows five now instead of just one, that is cool too. You can also use the old style by replacing "www." with "former." EX: http://former.imdb.com/title/tt0040522/ instead of: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0040522/ That little boy didn't annoy me like most other kids in movies (and in real life I guess), so yes, I agree he should have been a star. IMDb says he became a math teacher. Also, I love Italians in films. When they start getting angry or raising their voice it's just great :P
  5. Just let it die already, you aren't supposed to bump topics in OT.
  6. Resident Evil - It got the job done. I wanted to watch a zombie movie, and it worked pretty well. Still want to watch more, but it did it's part. Resident Evil: Apocalypse - Was not too happy with this one. Wasn't nearly as good as the first one, and had a lot of stupid parts in it. Milla was still pretty hot in it, which was a plus. Who the hell knows what the ending is all about, I guess there is supposed to be a third one sometime. Brief Encounter - Haven't been disappointed by a David Lean film yet. This one is unnaturally short compared to his others, I think they were all in the 3 hour range, and this is half that. Anyways, I really enjoyed it. I like how it all basically narrated by the main character, brings you right into feeling what she feels. The African Queen - Not a fan of Katharine Hepburn. I am a fan of Humphrey Bogart though, so it worked out OK. It was alright, but I wasn't kept interested all that much. Nothing bad about it, the only thing I really didn't like was seeing the stunt doubles all the time. Also the ending wasn't the best. Still, it's rated pretty highly on IMDb so you might want to check it out.
  7. I can tell this is going to be a very constructive topic with no flaming whatsoever. Anyways I think all the consoles are good for different things. I don't know which one will win the console war, it's still to early.
  8. Amores perros - This was kind of an odd movie. It had multiple story lines that did all come together eventually, but it didn't seem like they all correlated together well enough. The connection was kind of weak I guess I am saying. Still it was pretty entertaining, and I thought everything besides the connection was done pretty well. I think the title Love's a Bi*** describes it pretty well. Diaboliques, Les - The Devils is a good crime-thriller, I really enjoyed it. The story keeps you very interested, at least after the first 10 or so minutes pass by. I guessed the ending after just a little of the way through, but since I didn't know for sure until it actually ended it was still thrilling. If you like murder mysteries, definitely check this out. I, Robot - Just watched this for the first time not to long ago, but I felt like watching a movie with my dad and I knew this would be interesting for him. Just as good the second way through. Ladri di biciclette - The Bicycle Thief stars an all amateur cast, but their performances are great. They draw you right into the story. Admittedly the story lacks a lot you can do with it, it's about a bicycle being stolen. The bicycle however is the most important item to the main character, without it he loses his job and his family starves. You really get to feeling the desperation. Overall a very good movie, it ended pretty well. I wouldn't have liked it as much if it ended the other way.
  9. 24 American Dad Battlestar Galactica Dirt Family Guy Heroes It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Jericho Lost My Name is Earl South Park The 4400 The Class The Office These are all the ones that I watch that are still on air. I like all of them a lot. As for canceled shows: Babylon 5 Dark Angel Firefly Seinfeld That's My Bush! Firefly is probably my favourite out of all of them, canceled and on air.
  10. Heh, has anyone seen the video where someone sneaks into this guys dorm room with a video camera while he is killing kittens to the night elf dance? It was pretty hilarious.
  11. I normally call that hiking, maybe that is causing confusion.
  12. Really? That would probably just distract me.
  13. It seems like I hear it "proved" either way all the time. One week it will be proved it isn't a choice, the next week they will prove it is. It is kind of a mystery why these "proofs" are contradictory, why they can't figure it out. It seems to me scientists should be able to figure it out, but then again I'm not a scientist and they are so I guess I shouldn't be making assumptions.
  14. I don't know why, but I completely missed your post when I was reading through. Undead, this is the one you are talking about right? I'll see if I can find it. Also, the only Dawn of the Dead I can find in the usual spots is the 2004 remake. Should I watch this one first, or will that ruin the original?
  15. Why not? It's a perfectly legitimate response.
  16. Watching porn on your computer is just watching pixels.
  17. Was it pretty scary? I'll admit I was scared after watching the other ones. I'll see it regardless, I've heard good things about it, and we got two positive reviews from this topic (Harrington and Devilsdragon). I just may not sleep all that well for a few days :D . I should get it around this time next week, I always choose the free shipping option which takes a little longer, but is free. :P 28 Days Later... - Tuesday I posted a topic about zombie films because I had an urge to watch them. It might just be because I was satisfying some of that urge that I enjoyed this movie so much. I enjoyed it much, much more than the first time I watched it. I am really looking forward to the sequel 28 Weeks Later.... Battaglia di Algeri, La - The Battle of Algiers is exactly what it says it is, about the battles and struggles for independence from the French. Interesting movie, although some wont like seeing the Arabic people in the movie being portrayed as "freedom fighters", trying to free themselves by terrorism, blowing up and killing a lot of people. Try and go into it not thinking about your political views. Pretty enjoyable movie. Gone with the Wind - Nothing like watching 3 hours and 45 minutes of a movie, only to have the DVD screw up leaving you the last 5 minutes that you can't see. I watched it yesterday, just finished the last 5 minutes a little while ago. That really reduced the impact of the end. Anyways, overall I really, really enjoyed the movie. I've seen some parts from when my mom watches it, and it never really looked like something I would be interested in. I was wrong, I was engrossed the whole time. I didn't notice the length at all, it went by pretty quickly. It looked very nice, and the soundtrack wasn't half bad. Most importantly Vivien Leigh is hot :P .
  18. What Combat Weaponry Are You? My Results: Mossberg-590 Shotgun Your appearance works toward your advantage, as under estimators leave themselves up close and vulnerable. An excellent close range fighter you prefer upper-cuts and cheap shots. I'd much rather prefer a sniper rifle, so I am no where near the fight. I think I even selected an answer like that, oh well. Cheap shots are good enough.
  19. Thanks for the suggestions, looks like I'll be checking out George A. Romero's movies, specifically Dawn of the Dead. I didn't know what the general consensus on this was, but I figured since a movie parodied it, it was at least halfway decent. Seems like most of you like it though, so I'll check that out first. I think I've also heard good things about one of his other movies, Night of the Living Dead. So I'll check that one out also. Resident Evil was actually halfway enjoyable from what I can remember, I haven't watched it in quite a long time. The main thing I remember is Milla Jovovich and Michelle Rodriguez both being pretty hot. I'll check out it and the sequel also. That will probably satisfy my hunger for zombie flicks, but I am always open to more suggestions :P .
  20. You don't get the reference(although I botched the quote) Yep, posted it is a reference. Just as a joke of course, it really didn't move :-w .
  21. 3. "straight and dont care if people are homosexual" Although I did see a picture of a man-train the other day and I think I moved a little.
  22. It was a nice surprise. Nothing extraordinary, but neat none the less.
  23. Dune OST You guys listen to a lot of music in one day :D
  24. Yep, I'd have to say that would be my favourite also.
  25. Proctor and Gamble, I did make it sound a little worse than it was. That's basically what they were saying, just more politely :P . Fun fact: Cincinnati (where I live) at one time had more millionaires per capita than any other city in the US because of a massive forced retirement spree from P&G. Something with their pensions pushed a lot of people into being millionaires as soon as that happened.
