  1. I saw American Idol mentioned in the OP, I just thought maybe he actually did something else. You're right though, I don't watch American Idol, and you couldn't pay me to. Well, actually you could pay me to if you paid enough, but still.
  2. Does the boxset come with that figurine? Also, are the last three as good as the first one, in the "this is kind of stupid and not very well made but for some reason freaking awesome" sort of way? I guess this is good of a place as any to ask, is there a Region 1 version of the I, Robot Sonny Head?
  3. I was five when I got my first computer back in 1991, so I can't even remember a time when I didn't have one :D . I miss life before I started working and getting bills. Hopefully one day I can get that back again.
  4. Seconded, I've never heard of him before.

Not all numbers in names are useless, for example in my username. When I made this I was a fan of the Indy 500, hence my username  .

I haven't watched an awards ceremony in years, but I think I might watch this time. When is it on?
  7. I've always heard 1,000 times. Didn't know it was mentioned in National Treasure, so I checked it on IMDb: That made me curious so I used the powers of Google and found: 10,000 10,000 10,000 10,000 OK I was going to go and get sources for a lot of different amounts but the first four all say 10,000 so I am figuring that is correct.
  8. yes, what you posted is completely relevant. But If you think about it, if we are able to filter out everything, and see that one thing in everything, wouldn't that be a potentially great ability if applied to anything? Studying, Medical researching, engineering, any kind of problem solving really.... To find something, do we really need to... want it in some way? It would be interesting if it worked like that, and maybe sometimes it does. Edison (I think) invented the incandescent light bulb, and supposedly he failed 1000 times. I think that would constitute an obsession, and because of it he finally succeeded. Alternatively when you get really obsessed over something you could start seeing it everywhere, like in the quote I posted. You'll start seeing it in completely irrelevant places. Also you could be obsessing over too narrow of a topic, and miss possible solutions that are outside what you are obsessing over.
  9. Like Viktor said, Celt really needs to fix his location, it's annoying as hell. But anyways on topic, the first thing that came to mind while reading this was another movie called Pi. At one point in the movie a character is telling the main character: The relevant part is the last sentence, when you become obsessed with anything you filter everything else out and see that thing everywhere. It just happens to be a number in this movie also. Just thought I'd point that out, it's slightly relevant to this topic. :D
  10. It's not nearly the most "uncensored and disturbing" movie I've ever seen, it's basically just showing how screwed up your life can be by getting addicted to drugs. It's definitely an awesome movie, probably one of my favourites.
  11. Still didn't receive my copy of SamouraÃÆÃâÃâï, Le yet, hopefully I'll get it tomorrow. "Dark Angel" - Watched both seasons, this is the second time through. Much like the first time through I noticed it steadily gets worse as it goes on. But this time I was expecting that, so it didn't seem quite as bad. The last episode was still disappointing to say the least. EDIT: Watched a few today :D Shadow of a Doubt - Another good Alfred Hitchcock movie, just like the 20 or so others of his I've seen. It's a little slower than some of the others, it takes it's time before it starts to get suspenseful. It would be liked by Alfred Hitchcock fans, but others may not. V for Vendetta - Very entertaining, as always. SamouraÃÆÃâÃâï, Le - Yep, I got it today. This movie was fantastic. I started it with pretty high expectations, and it didn't let me down. It "fulfilled my expectations" in a different way than I thought it would though. I had LÃÆÃâÃâéon in my mind, which has action much of the time. While there is action in this movie, it isn't the reason I liked it so much. The setting, the main character, the usage of color, the sound, and the story all give you this epic feeling of "cool." I mean it really gives you that feeling. The main character played by Alain Delon couldn't have done a better job. He played his part perfectly cool. All the characters gave off the feeling, but he really did. Everybody in the film gives off the feeling of professionalism. Theres not much dialog, everyone only says what needs to be said. The film is in color but you really get the feeling like it's on the edge of being black and white, just because their aren't many warm colors. A good movie, and looking back on it a good ending. While watching it the end seemed to come kind of sudden, but after thinking about it for a while it ended just like it should have.
  12. Does no one even read the topics anymore? This is the second time in this thread someone said that no one else mentioned the shows they mentioned, when in fact they already were mentioned.
  13. Well you missed the point of the movie. You are always supposed to look on the "bright side of life." Even if you are about to die by crucifixion :D .
  14. It supports up to four players at the same time, that's why it's great for when you have friends over :D .
  15. My friends and I really enjoyed playing Marvel: Ultimate Alliance on the 360. But that is also available for PC, PS3, Wii.
  16. I guess I shouldn't have said labour job, because not all labour jobs will use an axe. I use an axe a lot at the graveyard when we are cleaning up dead limbs. I had to use it a lot two weeks ago when the ground was too frozen for the back hoe to go through, had to use the axe to break the ground. Also it is very useful for cutting through roots that are too big for the back hoe to go through. At home an axe is very useful for chopping wood, since we can't afford a log splitter. The fireplace is the main source of heat in the winter. So an axe keeps me alive during the winter :D . Also if you have ever held one before, it feels great. I have to idea why, but you feel a lot safer while holding an axe.
  17. I can tell you've never worked a labour job before.
  18. Become an hero.
  19. It's called "The Pursuit of Happyness" not "The Pursuit of Happiness." I enjoyed it. Nothing too special about it however, but it's a decent movie.
  20. Well tonights episode was a huge disappointment. In the previews that played at the end of last weeks episode they said three questions in "Lost" would be answered. Turns out the three questions they were talking about were the three questions Jack asked Alex. The previews made it seem like it was supposed to be some huge thing. That really pissed me off. EDIT: Meant Alex not Nikki.
  21. I wouldn't know what to do if I didn't stay here. I can't remember not being here :D

I still need to see the original series. It's weird how Triad and Pyramid are backwards between TOS and RDM. :D
  23. Tonights episode answers 3 major questions supposedly. Some of the Tailies that were captured are coming back in this episode, and from the preview it looks like they didn't even know they were taken. I'll wait to answer any questions until after tonights episode.
  24. I'm not understanding this "leaving" and then coming back a few days/weeks/months later. If you are coming back, don't make a leaving post.
  25. indy500fan replied to a post in a topic in Off-Topic
I was hoping this was going to be about "fictional sports" as in sports that were made up in books or movies or something. Was going to mention pyramid ball from BSG :D .
