  1. For some very odd reason, "The Sims" just popped into my head. So I will recommend that, if you haven't played it already. It's a great game, and you can probably pick up a pack with all 7 or so expansions pretty cheaply. It should keep you pretty busy for the 10 days, and then your addictiveness should be wearing off. That's why I think it would be good.
  2. A comeback? It's only been a few months, it doesn't have anything to comeback from. It's just dealing with the console launch phase right now. I like this PS Home idea, I wish there was something like it with Miis on the Wii. I don't see how typing will work very well, I think it will end up being a lot of "text-message" type messages which I don't really care for.
  3. It's not just on these forums, it's everywhere. Sometimes the people have good reason, sometimes they do because it's popular. I find the whole concept of nationalism being pretty stupid, but that's just me.

I don't know who you were quoting there, but it wasn't me.
  5. The two that I am going to mention are actually the last two movies that I watched :D Escape from New York The NeverEnding Story I really enjoyed both of them but they both suck a lot :D .
  6. Probably Kings Field 2. It's for PSX, a first person RPG. The best memory would be of checking on GameFaqs and noticing I had leveled up two of the five magic powers up higher than anyone else. There were 5 levels to each one, on Earth the guide went up to 4. On Water the guide went up to 3, and they said it would take impossibly long time to get any higher. I got it maxed out (which did take an impossibly long time).
  7. That's just what it's called around here because we don't have any real DJs, I live out pretty far in nowheresville.
  8. "The Simpsons" begs to differ. Started off a just a minute or two advertisement for something. Now they are in season 18.
  9. It doesn't sound like you graduated from anywhere. If you went to college for marketing, you should probably get a job marketing something.
  10. Escape from New York - lol.
  11. It's not the other way around. If you get it all at once, it's less than if you get it over the time period. It is more advantageous for the lottery company to pay out over time rather than all at once.
  12. It still doesn't follow any conceivable format for a speech.
  13. I don't really play too many "bad" games, if I don't like it after about 5 minutes I don't play it anymore. I then forget about them pretty quickly. I can however list three games that didn't live up anywhere near my expectations: Dungeon Siege 2 - I really like DS1, DS2 I would quit around an hour into it and never go any further. I've done that three times now, I guess I should save my saves :D . Neverwinter Nights 2 - Loved NWN 1 and expansions. Played through them all twice so far. NWN 2 I got out of the first village and didn't feel like playing anymore. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - Loved A Link to the Past on SNES, loved The Ocarina of Time (played on the GC), loved Wind Waker. I'm about 11 hours into it right now and I haven't played for four weeks. The story isn't keeping me into it. Plus I am stuck where I have to sumo wrestle, and it's annoying as hell.
  14. If by CDJing you mean just playing already made music, with little to no additions then that is what I did. The only thing I ever really changed was volume level, have two CD players and blend the songs together with a fade on one and rise in the other. Other than that in a song where everyone is singing along, hold up the mike and fade out the music during the main chorus or whatever and everyone knows to keep on singing. But yeah that was the extent of what I did. I really got lazy once we started using mp3s on the computer, I'd make the playlist at the beginning of the night and barely have to do anything else :P .
  15. Here in the states the big ones give you the option. You can get it all at once, but it's 30% less than if you get it over the time period.
  16. I wasn't amazed at Eternal Sunshine either, that was a while ago though. I should try it out again. Unendliche Geschichte, Die - The NeverEnding Story. Apparently it's German. Anyways, it can best be summed up as: massive lulz.
  17. Nope, not that one either. There are two "oracles" in it, one is a giant turtle and the other one is two statues. It was pretty freaking hilarious though, especially if you watched it as a child and not since then.

Press freedom Economic freedom I decided that Ireland would be the best place for me to live, although Canada is close too. Those two are both English speaking countries, so I am good there.
  20. I live in a 99% white area, I still had to play a good amount of rap and also rock, but mostly at school dances I played pop music. Kids didn't even care if it was good to dance to. I only played two gigs other than school dances or weddings, one was a girls 16 year birthday party. That was fun and easy, it was just in her back yard so it was laid back and casual. If they could all be like that it would be great :P . The other one was a party celebrating someones 30th year in real estate. It was a very high class formal event, with every snob within 15 miles attending. Didn't turn out all that bad, so overall I'll agree with you, private is a lot better :D .
  21. I remember DJ'ing weddings and school dances, the school dances were more fun by far. Kids don't complain as much. Weddings are horrible, with all the drunk white trash around here. The last gig I did I was getting death threats from the 70 year old grandfather of the bride. Half of the wedding is easier than a normal gig, during the hour or more for dinner just put on some light music, don't even need to change the CD. Then there is the wedding favourites, like Electric Slide, Locomotion, and of course the Chicken Dance. That takes up a good amount of time. What have you been DJ'ing?
  22. Now this is just theme songs right, not "your favourite soundtracks"? The "Firefly" theme song is awesome, I love it. I also like hearing the opening to "Battlestar Galactica". Movies my favourite would have to be from my favourite movie: Donnie Darko. The intro starting with Donnie biking and all the way to his house.
  23. I'm working on acquiring that one now, I should be able to watch it tomorrow or Wednesday.
  24. When M&M first opened that's what I thought too, that's why I posted a topic about "Lost" there. I was pretty confused when I saw it moved to OT. Even more confused a month or so later a TV topic was moved from OT to M&M. Ever since then it's been pretty steadily just in OT. Anyway I vote yes, it just seems right.
