  1. it kind of stinks that way, now i have to spend twice as much. oh well, its worth it anyways. i should buy a region free dvd player, then i wouldnt have to worry about this. that wiki site is awesome, i sat around reading it for about two hours yesterday  .
  2. pogs. im sure some of you still have them, but you probably dont have the official 50 states set :P .
  3. Some Like it Hot - i dont think marilyn monroe is as good as an actress as many others, but shes not bad to look at :P . overall the plot of the movie is pretty stupid, but i ended up enjoying it. The Pacifier - heh, for a kids movie it isnt that bad. nothing special about it. some parts were corny, and you could easily tell the general idea of what would happen the rest of the movie after watching the first 15 minutes, including what jokes you were likely to see.
  4. Your beliefs most closely resemble those of Satanism! Before you scream, do a bit of research on it. To be a Satanist, you don't actually have to believe in Satan. Satanism generally focuses upon the spiritual advancement of the self, rather than upon submission to a deity or a set of moral codes. Do some research if you immediately think of the satanic cult stereotype. Your beliefs may also resemble those of earth-based religions such as paganism. Satanism 83% agnosticism 75% atheism 67% Islam 33% Buddhism 33% Judaism 17% Christianity 0% Hinduism 0% Paganism 0% like in the "political quiz" that was up a week or two or three ago, this was just a agree/disagree quiz. i almost didnt take it, because i think labeling everything agree/disagree is stupid. but then i saw "N/A" (not applicable) under the disagree side. thought that might have actually been there for a reason, but apperantly not. many i didnt disagree or agree with, but i put disagree because of the "N/A". i like to consider myself an atheist-agnostic. im agnostic, meaning i dont really know, but im atheist because i dont think there is a god. probably should just call myself atheist, but say im not sure. if there is a god/gods, then they are nothing like we could ever think of.
  5. thats season 2.0, right? are they planning to release the complete season two anytime soon? Done the Impossible - i wouldnt buy this, unless you are a huge, huge firefly/serenity fan and have to have everything you can get of it. oh, it was definently interesting, but when you can download it for free from there website, there is no reason to buy the dvd. that is, unless you want the 5 hours of extra features on the dvd. but wait, all those extra features are on the dvd-rom portion of the disc, and it doesnt work on half of the pcs out there. so you start browsing the disc and try to do stuff manually, only none of the .mov files work. there is also a link to "hidden" website with even more cool stuff on it, but wait, 404, it doesnt exist. none of the proceeds go towards getting firefly back on the air, or getting another serenity. so i would just pass.
  6. what kind of bike are you getting? i know next to nothing about bikes, i dont even know if i can still ride one  . but im thinking about buying one and using it for the short trips around.
  7. freaky movie isnt it? The Healer - watched this yesterday actually, but forgot about it. probably because it wasnt all that great. nothing special at all about it, the ending is a little odd, but not in a good way. Modern Times - another charlie chaplin. i didnt laugh as much at this one, but it was still pretty good. Double Indemnity - it was pretty good, but not quite great. had a twist and turn, but needed a little more. it was interesting enough i suppose. 71/71 :P
  8. heh, this topic is two years old. title made me laugh though :D
  9. the amount of "space" is endless, but the amount of energy and matter is not.
  10. South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut - this movie is hilarious. its like the tv series, except even better. EDIT: Chasing Amy - easily the best kevin smith movie. maybe not the funniest, but easily my favourite. everything about it is awesome. if you liked any of the other ones (clerks/mallrats/dogma/jay and silent bob strike back/jersey girl/clerks 2) then you will like this one as well. EDIT 2: (sorry, no imdb link for it) Done the Impossible - a documentary made by fans of the firefly tv show and serenity movie. i really enjoyed it, but like with everything dealing with this i know tommorow im going to be pissed off that it was cancelled. had this preordered for months, i completly forgot about it. when it came in the mail, you should have seen the look on my face  . i love firefly. EDIT 3: last one tonight, i swear :P . The Maltese Falcon - great movie. im really, really glad it ended the way it did. bogart gave a great performance, as did lorre. but thats expected. lead lady wasnt all that great. the story had a good amount of twists and turns, and kept you wondering what the big picture was. and btw, 66/66 :D

Cost of Raising a Child says average "$161,580 to raise a child born in 1996 to age 18." obviously you were born before that, but its only a little lower. parents help you out more than you think. if you dont want to look at it from a "how much parents help you out" perspective, read what BTTF said. youll be much better prepared for the outside world, which pretty much sucks (worked 8:00AM to 9:00PM 3 days this week, along with my other 2 8 hour days). and i think alkatmsu is right also, we are only seeing one view of the story, there is probably something we are missing.
  12. "Battlestar Galactica" - i just finished season 2, and im speechless.

Thats cus ure doing it wrong. No it's not. ALT+166 there is ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâæ, for me it is ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâê. ALT+140 there is ̢̮â¬Â¦Ã¢ââ‰â¢, for me it is ÃÆÃâÃâî. Just 2 random combinations, none matches. like he said, you are doing it wrong. you forgot the "0".

nope :D . you download it from the website, probably is torrented. i think nadril is the resident Lineage II expert, normally he posts about in these threads :) . speaking of which, why is this thread still open?
  15. working on it, but as you can see my top 10 consisted of 13 movies, and as of right now my top 20 contains 29 movies  . having a little trouble narrowing it down. my list will be of my favourite movies, so you will see a lot of good ones, but you will also at one point see "Cannibal! The Musical", and there may be a few more like it in the list :P .
  16. i dont think they are too skinny. :-k . they do look mostly the same to me though.
  17. i have no idea how you jumped to that from what i said. i cant see any connection whatsoever. but anyways, whether or not predestination exists is a whole other line of reasoning, and i havent decided wether or not i think it exists.
  18. thats not right, you are thinking of it as a variable now. infinity-infinity=infinity.

i finally saw it. i thought the first one was a little better, but this one was good too. a little too long perhaps.
  20. it isnt expanding either way. it goes infinitly both ways.
  21. indy500fan replied to BenBru's topic in Off-Topic
theres always about three different plots, one of those being the main one. and they all intertwine in the end. genious. :D i like the frogger episode a lot, as well as the serenity now episode. they all are good though.
  22. its definently a different kind of humor, and if you havent seen clerks/mallrats/chasing amy/dogma/jay and silent bob strike back/jersey girl, the humor could be kind of odd :D . ah man, it blew me away. i started the series, and i couldnt stop watching it yesterday, i ended up staying up till 1:30 in the morning. not good when you have to get up at 5:00 for work. i feel like crap today and im tired, but i have to watch just one more before sleep... just one more... Mulholland Dr. - second time watching it, and i paid attention to everything. a friend wanted to see it, we tried to figure out what was going on. didnt really figure out much. looked on message boards and websites, and mostly figured out there are different ways to take it. cool to read the theories, but i kind of wish i didnt. now i wont be able to figure it out for myself. oh well, definently will watch it again.
  23. go look up gravity on wiki, the second headline says "gravitation theory". granted wiki may not be the best source, but there it is anyways. and slightly on topic:
  24. time isnt any different than numbers. we are always at 0. there is always an infinite amount of time in front of us and behind us. thats the way numbers work too, you do know numbers go infinitly negative too, right?
  25. i kept on thinking while watching Rasḫ̫̉̉mon that i could make a movie with some friends just like this. i dont have enough creativity in me to make up something new, so ill just do something old :P . be fun just to try. and off topic, i feel sorry for BenBru, by disregarding black and white movies he has eliminated some of the best films ever created.
