  1. I actually just ordered a PS3 (I had a topic about this a few weeks ago) and that's why I am trying to sell my Wii. Anyhow I mostly bought it for an entertainment center rather than games, but there are a few games coming up that look fun. That 256 simultaneous players game I'd like to try. EDIT: I don't want to give the OP the impression that he should be getting a PS3 instead of a Wii. It is very possible that you will get a lot more fun out of a Wii than a PS3. It's just my particular case I don't really want a Wii. Some of the games were really fun for when you are drinking with some friends though.
  2. If you want to buy mine I'll sell you it for $200.
  3. Yeah, I can't do 'em because they hurt my back. My back has been in spasm three times this year. :? Better posture seems like better advice, but meh. I have posture problems too. I think it was another article I read about fixing that, apparently sitting up straighter than natural is counter-productive. The best thing to do is once again, workout, and they said do pushups also. Apparently it strengthens some muscles which make your natural position better. However if you can't do them then I don't know what to tell you, you are screwed either way :D .
  4. If you aren't getting a discount or anything like that why do you even need to pre-order? Is getting a game the very first day it comes out that important?
  5. Oh hell yeah, my first Blu-ray purchase :D . Ordered it before deciding whether or not I was even going to get a Blu-ray player soon.
  6. I would expect my snake count to be much higher because they can't move as fast, but I've only actually killed one so far. What kind of area do you live in?
  7. I just read an article the other day about how bad sit-ups are for your back. Don't help your abs nearly as much as most people think either. Better to do something like pushups, they work a lot of different stuff.
  8. I've probably accidentally killed 7 or 8 bunnies over the years at work. Injured a few too. The first time it happened it was kind of sad, it wasn't quite dead yet and I didn't want to leave it like that so I got a shovel and hit it really hard. All the other ones that were basically dead but not quite there yet I just run over with the mower again to chop them up, it's quicker than suffering to death. If I injure them really bad while trimming then I just get the shovel again. Then there are a few that get injured, but don't look all that bad. They will most likely die also from another animal getting them but I don't bother them, just in case they survive. My first garden pond I added a little too much copper sulfate to. Killed about 20 goldfish, I did save 4 however. EDIT: I think the first time I hit the bunnies I hit three all at once, two died right away and one I had to hit with the shovel.
  9. I already explained about the colours above. A human eye can only see the visible light part of the electro-magnetic spectrum (some people can see a little more on each side, but it isn't much). All colours we see are created by those em-waves. Black isn't a colour, it is a lack of light from the light being absorbed. White isn't a colour, it is all of the different frequencies being reflected back in equal amounts. The colours you don't see on that spectrum picture but that you can see are just a combination of a few of those, along with differing levels of absorption.
  10. Colours are merely reflected light, which is the visible part of the electromagnetic spectrum: http://www.yorku.ca/eye/spectrum.gif So if we develop a way for our eyes to see x-rays/microwave rays ect... then those would have a "colour".
  11. Using a straw man argument doesn't prove anything.
  12. That you equate dogs on the same level as humans scares me.
  13. Dogs aren't humans, they are property.
  14. It's not his job to keep the dog off, it is the dog owners.
  15. The dogs were on his property? He should have every right to do what is necessary to keep them off. That people sent him letters and complained enough to the point he had to move is the part that troubles me.
  16. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5NPpoM5 ... re=related The entire video, and all of QualiaSoup's videos are great.
  17. Yeah, I've never heard of someone stealing a dog either. Around here people are usually getting dogs from what everyone assumes are people in the city getting sick of them, driving out into the country and leaving them next to the road. Worrying about a dog getting too hot in the summer is also regardless of whether or not they are inside, since we don't have AC. They actually would probably keep cooler outside since they could go down to the creek.
  18. I don't have a dog, as I said above. These are what other dog owners tell me, one time when I asked why they didn't keep their dogs inside. Dogs like to drag their [wagon] along the ground. I don't know why, I just see it a lot. No matter how much you clean their hair off, it still gets everywhere. It happens with humans too, once you've lived with 3 sisters and a mom you'll see how much hair people lose even with it being washed everyday. Now that's just head hair, a dog has hair all over. Like I said, I don't have a dog. And if you saw my backyard you would know why that is laughable (21 acres of land, roughly 85,000 square meters). I used to go over to a friends house who kept his dogs inside all the time (except for [cabbage]ting) and they still smelled. Of course they didn't realize it, they were used to it. Dogs get excited about people I am sure. You are making the mistake that all people are equally excited about seeing the dogs. Here is a good thing for you (and all dog owners for that matter) to know: many people don't like dogs. No, we don't care how friendly it is. They always mention how it would never hurt anyone, until it does. And then they will still mention it.
  19. It wipes it's [wagon] on the carpet. Hair gets everywhere. It steps in it's own [cabbage] then walks on carpet. It smells. When visitors come over it annoys them.
  20. I bet you were one of the people complaining about dogs being left behind during the hurricane Katrina evacuation when there were still plenty of people to rescue.
  21. Why shouldn't they be? I'd never let a dog in my house, way too messy. Aside from all the possible bad things that could happen to your dog while outside (jesus man, it's a living thing that is pretty stupid, why the hell wouldn't you let it in?), it NEEDS to be with your family. Dogs are pack animals, they need to live with their humans, not outside. Keeping them outside all the time can damage their psychological health. Even if you decide to dismiss that, what the hell? Leaving a dog outside in the back yard for 24 hours with no AC or heat? Do you even have a shelter outside for them? No protection? Nowhere to run if something attacks them? Tons of ways to injure themselves? You really need to bring your dogs in unless they are working dogs on a farm that you spend 8 hours with a day herding animals. Most people buy dogs for companionship, not for being a god damned lawn ornament edit: What breed of dog do you two even have? I don't have dogs, I hate dogs. Many of my friends and family have dogs and they all are solely outdoor dogs. They are animals, they are just fine out doors. None have health problems. They are all friendly. They all have a dog house to go into when the weather is bad, and they all survive below freezing all the way up to really hot just fine.
  22. Why shouldn't they be? I'd never let a dog in my house, way too messy.
  23. The myth is that any kind of rice hurts them at all. They can eat dried rice completely fine.
  24. The only problem with your second step is it is an urban myth, birds can eat rice just fine.
  25. nevermind
