  1. Isn't the patrol between Canada and USA tighter now? Canada is in North America, which means it could be considered "America". America is commonly used to shorten United States of America though and not usually used to describe any other country. However, when mentioning the "Americas" it usually is referring to all of the American countries (every country on the North American and South American continents, not really sure about the Caribbean area). This guy. (#6) I see no problem with hugging in schools. I also see no problem with a school banning physical contact, including hugging. School is for learning, not for hanging out with your friends. One last thing: NO TOUCHING!
  2. Graphing calculators usually round to the 8th decimal place or so.
  3. 10/9. Please don't continue. I'm only bumping this because I forgot about this thread. That didn't really answer my question, you know. 10/9 = 1.111... 1.111 * .9 = .999... Therefore, 1.111... = .999...? <_< #-o (I was going to look up a facepalm picture but am too lazy). I know you'll need an explanation: 1.11... = 10/9 .9 = 9/10 10/9 * 9/10 obviously equals one. How you thought the "Therefore 1.11...=.99..." was the next part I have no idea.
  4. Nooo, not Frankenstein :( . EDIT: I heard about this on the way home from work (half-day :D ) and they mentioned "David Carradine most famously known for the TV series Kung Fu". When I heard his name I was like "aw crap, not Frankenstein!" but then they didn't mention it or Kill Bill, the only two things I knew him for. So when I heard Kung Fu I was wondering if I had the right name. Then I saw the topic on Fark and they mentioned Kung Fu, but also Kill Bill. Then this topic mentioned them two, and the one on Digg also. So the point was apparently everyone knows him for Kung Fu, and I never even heard of it before.
  5. That would be one of them that I would mention if I had seen the entire series, I've seen a lot of episodes but not them all. Same goes with Twilight Zone.
  6. Complaining about celebrity obsession is still giving them what they want: talking about them.
  7. While I enjoy older shows sometimes, I haven't really watched many series from start to finish, so I don't feel right mentioning them. I will mention Babylon 5 and Seinfeld, both of which I have seen in the entirety, but neither of which are quite old enough to be considered classics.
  8. Never pre-ordered a game before, only paid launch price for one game (Oblivion). I like to wait until they are $20-$30 to buy them.
  9. I thought the Wii controllers looked awesome before I used one of them, and was massively disappointed. I can see this being the same way, so not getting any hopes up.
  10. But no price drop?
  11. Umm, no they aren't. It's just /b/tards trolling the stupider /b/tards.
  12. You didn't know about this? You missed all the outcry about it already. Now people are just trying to forget about it. I don't find a lot of remakes necessary, but I don't mind watching them. Comparisons to the original are expected, but I can judge a film without comparing it to the original and that means I can enjoy remakes that aren't as good as originals. Having said that, I don't see how this remake would work in a non cold-war with the U.S.S.R. scenario.
  13. Did E3 already start? I thought it was supposed to start the 2nd. Anyhow someone post here if they hear officially about a PS3 price drop. I don't care about anything else, so the only news I'll see about E3 are the digg headlines.
  14. The point of the sticky is so that we keep this stupid [cabbage] all in the same place, out of the way.
  15. Also if you are using homemade silencers like a potato/oil filter then they add weight that is a significant percentage of what the gun itself weighs. That means if you've never trained with that particular silencer before then your shots could be off pretty badly. Also they don't allow you to use the iron sights. Anyhow, this is as good a topic as any since I don't want to make/bump up a gun topic: I am getting this gun next week: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walther_P22 It's a .22 caliber so that means I can use the same ammo for it as I use for my Mossberg 702 Plinkster. So I now have a semi-auto rifle and a semi-auto handgun that both use readily found ammo (I have 600 rounds sitting in my house right now). I also have access to a .223 caliber rifle (with a kick [wagon] scope), a 4/10 shotgun, 12 gauge shotgun, .40 caliber handgun, another .22 caliber rifle that is a little iffy whether it will shoot or not when you pull the trigger and a .22 caliber handgun that is also a little iffy whether or not it will explode when you pull the trigger. Then there is a bolt action rifle of some sort that I think my dad got from his dad, and his dad bought it from someone, and it was in WW1. We don't have any ammo for it so it is probably useless. Got plenty of ammo for everything else. Say what you want about gun control laws, but I enjoy having all these guns. :D
  16. Yeah, just looked it up. I thought to myself, it couldn't be A Clockwork Orange as he is relatively old in that. Well, it's young compared to "Heroes" and Doomsday which were the last two things I saw him in :) .
  17. Hmm, that sounds interesting. Once I start a series though I like to finish it. Also I have rewatched the first season probably 4 times, second season 3 times, and the third season 2. Before each season I used to watch all the way up to it again. So season 1 is getting a little old for me. I'll rewatch the entire series when season 6 comes out on DVD.

Every band in your list has been mentioned multiple times. Get off your high horse, being a pretentious [puncture] isn't punk, it is [bleep]ing annoying.
  19. What movie was this ? If How2PK recommended it - its probably  If..., it has a young Malcolm McDowell, even before A Clockwork Orange.
  20. I'd like to see a PS3 price drop, nothing else really would interest me.
  21. Watching that movie once is enough for me, I know you have the first print Criterion edition that you spent a lot on but that doesn't mean you have to watch it :D . Makes me want to throw up just thinking about that movie...
  22. Man, 200-300 movies in your collection you haven't seen yet? That is a lot. I have about 20 plus the M*A*S*H set which I have only seen random episodes of on TV.
  23. A few have said changing yourself to become cool isn't being yourself, and I would say that is wrong. You have made the choice to change so if you don't change you aren't being your self. Anyways, do what makes you happy. If you change and are now cool and that makes you happy, good for you. If you change and you are not happy, well it's probably not hard to change back.
  24. Awesome, the X-Men cartoons are finally out on DVD.
  25. Now that is a difficult question. Personally, I listened to Nas' album before I'd heard the others. I'd probably say Nas or Notorious B.I.G. just because they are so often imitated by others (and mostly imitated poorly) plus Notorious B.I.G has a good mix of modern beats and great lyrics. Common has a pretty modern sound (because it's the newest of those albums) while Eric B & Rakim and Run DMC have a much more older sound. It really depends on your own taste (that sounds like such a cop out but it isn't meant to be). I've never been into rap, but I tried those out(Nas and Notorious B.I.G.). They are all right, it just isn't the genre for me. I generally like to hear random songs every now and then, just not listen to albums.
