  1. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/e ... s_plan.png That's where it originated, but the actual meme usually goes something like this: 1. (first part of plan) 2. (second part of plan) 3. ??? 4. Profit! For some reason almost always 4 steps, and for some reason always 3 question marks. Not sure why.
  2. Yes I learned how to budget money, I got around $30 every birthday and I made it last. By the time I wanted to really start buying stuff I had a job (when I was 14, a summer job that lasted two weeks and I made about $200, same thing when I was 15, and when I was 16 I got an actual job full time through the summer). Wait until you have to start paying car bills, insurance bills, internet bills, phone bills ect... Then you will realize why your parents don't want to or just plain can't give you an allowance.
  3. I know, I didn't know what to put for that last one. Because technically, that is an advantage of a one party state. Yet I would never endorse a totalitarian system. I had the same trouble with that, decided on disagree eventually since no arguing causes problems. Yep that is the question I was talking about back on page 5:
  4. I had to do chores and money was never even an option. Your parents clothe, feed and shelter you, you aren't being cheated if you aren't getting an allowance.
  5. I've seen advertisements for it in comic books but I haven't heard about it anywhere else. It's not popping up on EZTV either so I probably wont be able to see it.
  6. Ben shooting that guy was awesome.
  7. Heh, it was slow at first but I liked the way it ended.
  8. Except China siding with North Korea would never happen unless they did nothing first, and other countries just started bombing the [cabbage] out of them. If North Korea ever fires a missile and it hits any other country China at the very worst would just stay out of it. More than likely they would be against North Korea.

Every episode is the exact same. It's really not creative at all. Last night's episode wasn't anything we haven't seen in the 14 or so episodes before.
  10. is it bad if none of those pictures made me sad? No, 27 was the only one that made me sad because I looked at it for a while trying to figure it out, then read the caption and realized why he was crying.
  11. That's why space programs are so important, right now we are a very long way off from being able to colonize other planets but there will be a time when it is necessary.
  12. The Big Picture's photo journal. Warning, there are some pictures of dead and injured bodies in there. #27 really made me sad.
  13. They do require a large amount of time to watch, which sucks, and things can get a little stale. BSG you don't have to worry about that though. Pretty much every half season (10 episodes) the show changes enough to keep fresh, but still keep the ultimate goal in mind (reach Earth). Season 1 has a few good episodes, but the series really starts to pick up in season 2. If you have the chance you should definitely try and finish it :) .
  14. China is an ally insofar as they wouldn't be happy with more embargoes on North Korea. If worst came to worst though I don't think they would side with them.
  15. Stopped at the last episode of season 1? You have the best part of the series ahead of you, there are some of the best episodes of any TV series around the end of season 2/beginning of season 3.

It's not all that great. I expected a lot lot more from it.
  17. To expand on this it is the one that is covered in ice and there is a possibility that life exists there (under the ice near the core if it is warmer). It's also the focus of the last 3 Space Odyssey books by Arthur C. Clarke.
  18. I was, the test gave me Economic 8 Social -6, but in actuality I should be Economic 9.5 Social -9.5.
  19. Did you see the third one? I liked the first one a lot back when it came out, the second one not as much but it was ok. The third one looked pretty stupid though so I never got around to seeing it. I haven't put a review down for anything in a while, and I've watched tens/ possibly hundreds of hours of stuff since then. So here we go: "Andromeda" complete series - I've been trying to watch all the fairly recent space scifi TV series, and this was the last one I think I am going to do. It wasn't all that good. The only thing that kept me interested the first four seasons was Lexa Doig, who is really hot (except when she smiles for some reason, but she plays an AI in this so she doesn't smile often). Then everything changed the fifth season, which finally made me actually interested in the show, a little. Still wasn't all that great, plus Lexa wasn't on the show much that season due to being pregnant. Anyways, if anyone knows of any recent space scifi shows I missed, let me know. The ones I've seen are Stargate SG1/Atlantis, Farscape, Battlestart Galactica, Firefly and a little older one Babylon 5. I know about Gene Roddenberry's other space scifi (multiple Star Trek series, Earth: Final Conflict) and I don't plan on watching them. Chocolate - A Thai movie about an autistic girl who starts collecting money from people who owe her mother, who used to be part of some sort of gang. Her handicap allows her to copy people's movements, so she learns different martial arts from watching movies and the kickboxing training facility next to her house. This movie was awesome, while a little slow at first once she starts fighting it doesn't let up for the rest of the movie.
  20. Shouldn't he have some sort of scar, though? I mean bullet wounds are pretty nasty. There should be, but Locke's scars are also gone now, so we can assume the Island took care of that.
  21. Gaius Baltar knows a bit about farming.

Cool. I've played [cabbage] loads of poker and I can't even recall ever getting a straight flush.
  23. I'm glad they threw in the Hurley/Miles thing, my last post about the previous episode was actually what they were talking about :) . Also glad that Faraday's theory stayed true, Ben had always been shot by Sayid, he just got it taken from his memory.
  24. Has Deep Discount been offering good deals lately? I used to order from them all the time, but then they seemed to increase their prices and I found amazon to be mostly cheaper.
  25. If you don't do anything important on the computer it wouldn't matter, anyways at this point it doesn't do anything so even if you do important stuff it doesn't look for it yet. Oh and you don't need to get new computers if you get the virus, at the very worst you would just have to reformat and re-install Windows.
