If you notice on forums hex was going for even insanely more than the insane price of focus sight. One dude was trading 3 focus for hex :blink:

Because fire staves only act like runes, not actual fire, unlike a fire cape, which is flowing lava or whatever. Well he does bring up a good point. The message says the wyrms freeze your hands, right? Why can't you just wear the fire gloves from beacon lighting? That would make a lot more sense in this case :P

I'd just like to mention that I just got my second fire cape. Kur gave me tzhaar so I decided to own jad again to prove a point. Seriously, he's EASY. Didn't even have to sip a prayer potion on jad. In other news, I am still woefully without a focus sight and hexcrest. Hey Kur, assign me some more desert wyrms, willya?

I'd rather it be 'task only". When I'm slaying, it's annoying when you see non-slayers camping at a certain monster when you need to complete a task. After all, this is supposed to be an incentive to train Slayer. I'm all for making task only monsters, but not monsters that drop the range and mage equivilants of a black mask. Why should melee's "mask" come from a level 90ish creature that is easy to kill, can be camped, and drops the mask at about the same rate?

Nah more like I want a focus sight so I can range tasks. I'm only 86 slayer so it'll be a while before I get to ice wyrms. Though if I was really desperate, I'd be in W2 offering my life savings like so many other idiots. I can wait a week or two. It's just that I don't like the fact that you have to be on task to kill these things, and yet since it's entirely based on a RNG you could go 100+ tasks without a single wyrm task. I like no campers, but I'd like to be guaranteed a task I want to do every once in a while. Even if that means giving up the deaths you usually get for points.

Yes and no. Yes if you want to get it as a drop. No as in if you get two focus it would probably be easy enough to trade it straight over for a hexcrest in W2.

Kur can't assign jungle wyrms, but can assign desert ones. And of course she's the only master who assigns ice wyrms. Probably wouldn't be such a bad idea to use Sumona if you're below 93 slayer.

I think they just got dumped by a clan... I got my offer in for a sight about 1 min after the update but still haven't got one :( Oh, I see, he bought a ton of them at the advice of a clan, they dumped early, and now he's trying to get rid of his seeds. Lol'd irl. Poor sucker.

Oh and btw, I'm at world 2 right now loling at the insane prices these greedy bastards want for their focus sights and ect. 100m for a focus sight, really? I got out my 100m and traded the guy just to see what the hell he could possibly be using for junk. Maple and magic seeds. How exactly is that junk, btw? :-|

Well, we now have a monster that you HAVE to be on task to kill. I've gone 15+ tasks without ONE desert wyrm task, using all of my slayer points on skipping tasks. So I have a very simple suggestion. I think it would be really helpful if for 75 slayer points, you could pick a monster you want to hunt. It's not really fair having to go so long without getting a task you like or want to get. Also 75 slayer points is just the right ammount to ensure you aren't camping in any one spot for a long, long time. Except perhaps after you get your bonus :) But that would be a nice reward. Perhaps also they could make it for tasks that you pick you don't get points for (though it doesn't break your task chain).

Iron dragon task complete. Skipped a bloodveld task for... a spiritual mage task. My god this is taking FOREVER to get a task.

I've just gone through 15 tasks without a wyrm assignment. DId a skeletal wyverns task, skipped like 4 after that, did a waterfiend task, skipped like 8 tasks after that, now I'm out of points and stuck on an iron dragon task. FML. :x :x :x She must have assigned like 5 spiritual mages assignments in that time. I'm SO sick of all the spiritual mages she assigns.

That's the hardest part about these updates. You want the item so bad yet you porobably have to wait weeks before it comes anywhere close to a stable price where you could reasonably obtain one. Still, I have my fingers crossed someone will sell on GE. Not going to happen probably.

My problem with the fire cape as a slayer items is the fact that all other slayer specific items are available from either slayer masters or buyable through the GE (or both) whereas this requires a good internet connection (not a problem for me, but is for many) and 1-2 hours of time devoted to getting what I consider a useless item. True, other items are avaliable from masters. But this is currently the highest slayer monster in the game, it could very well be that Jagex has similar plans for future monsters.

what attack style did you use with zs? Stab, duh :-P Oh, and figured I'd post this aswell. Was thieving master farmers and randomly decided to max. The hit kinda surprised me.
