    No updates?

Think of it this way, another week of polishing means whatever update comes out on the 11th will be extra nice. Hopefully. ;)
  2. As interesting as the whole sailing idea is, I don't think "sailing" is a general enough aptitude to be adopted as a RS skill. And besides, several of the components of the "skill" would seem to fit better into other skills. Building the ships would seem to fit better into construction. Firing cannons into ranged. Balancing on beams and swinging through the air on ropes into agility. Not that I'm opposed to the idea of player owned ships, it's just that I don't think it should be a skill.

The OP never said anything about him killing the Brawlers; someone else brought that up. Killing brawlers is the only think I can think of that someone else would tell him what to do for. And then he got really, really defensive when someone said he was a noob if he killed the brawlers. So I gather that he was killing them. Myself, when I go into a new team game I try to read up on it before, but if I DO just jump into it I actually listen to people. There's nothing more frustrating for me than an ignorant, stubborn jackass noob ruining the game for everyone else. And it seems to happen a lot. It's truly amazing that even now with all the advanced gear, potions, prayers ect games are still lost on the official worlds. And it's because of stubborn attitudes like that.

Being a bit of a hypocrite, aren't you? I'll grant you that people don't need to call you a noob and scream at you for killing the brawlers the first time they see you doing it. But if you continue to kill the brawlers even after you learn that they are useful to the team and you're hurting the team's chances of winning by doing so, then frankly, you ARE a noob; [bleep] off
  5. You're thinking way too far into this .I don't see how everything "revolves" around smithing. I think a better one would be what doesn't revolve around PvP. Just a few examples: All combat skills: Self explanatory. Slayer: Whips and such. Agility: Crystal bows, faster run regen. Herblore: Potions
  6. I had a question about MTK too. Does anyone know for sure that you need to go back each day to increase popularity to 100%? Or do you just need to work to 100% when you go to withdraw?
  7. Mainly tormented demons at the moment. Though I'm currently on a teeth-gnashing 750+ kill streak without a claw drop  I probably need a more stable, less luck-based source of income to keep me sane :) Though with today's prices RC probably won't do so I have no idea really.
  8. I don't think me pressing backspace is what triggered it. Nevertheless, thanks a million for helping me disable that. It's more annoying than useful.
  9. Yeah actually I can purposely press backspace while the focus is not on the applet and that screen will pop up and I can close it out fine. It's just that sometimes it inexplicably pops up and locks up firefox. I have no idea why.
  10. I'm talking about a glitch while playing RuneScape on Firefox. What happens is that little box pops up and I can't [bleep]ing close it. In fact it appears like the entire instance of Firefox has frozen because all my other windows appear locked as well, though the RuneScape applet continues to function behind the window while I cannot interact with it. I ask because this just happened to me while at tormented demons and I watched helplessly as my character was slaughtered for void and archer ring. Yes I managed to close it out and get back in time before the grave collapsed but geez that scared the crap out of me. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there any way to fix it or at least a workaround such that I can at least teleport away when it happens? Thanks :)
  11. Ferocious ring works as a ring of life in Kuradal's dungeon. ;-)
  12. The point of saying that is...? Anyway, i'd stick with the Ferocious Ring myself. I never saw any increase in goodies while wearing a RoW. The point? The point is we know extremely little about the Ring of Wealth, and yet everyone is slinging about ideas as if they're fact. I could easily say that the Ring of Wealth is far better then the Ferocious Ring. It has a 30% chance increase for all rare drops! All we know as of now, is that the RoW increases your chances for a rare drop, small drops are not effected, and clues are set apart from both normal and rare drops into their own category. Anything else said about the RoW is complete and utter Jarate. I don't know if my assumption is true or not. It's just what I've heard. What I DO know is that I've killed countless monsters with and without ring of wealth, and I haven't noticed a difference either way in the same number of kills. And btw, I've seen logs thousands of kills long with and without wealth, and the increase in rare drops seems to be consistent with the 1% theory. The fact is, weather it's 1% or 5%, or whatever, the ferocious ring increases your chances of getting a rare drop in the same time by a heck of a lot more by speeding up kills.
  13. Ring of wealth's effect is TINY. From what Jagex has said, it increases rare drop chance by a measly 1%. It basically works by adding 100 or something to whatever number the RNG generates to determine drops, rarer drops obviously then being at the end of this range. You'd be much better off with +4 damage. You'd be able to kill more monsters in the same time, which increases your chances of getting a good drop a lot more than RoW. Hell I'm debating weather even a zerker wouldn't be better, even though that's obviously much inferior to the ferocious ring.
  14. Wait WAIT... you just started RS2? So that means... you trained 80 agility in RSC?! If that's the case... 10/10
  15. 0/10 for the SHAMEFUL RC level :shame: Just kidding lol. I'll give you a 7/10 just because I think it's awesome that agility is your highest stat. And it's higher than mine.
  16. 507 kills without a drop, and I get THIS: ... Fuuuu.... I didn't even think that was POSSIBLE!!! Ultimate slap in the face right there. -.-
  17. Yeah I would really have appreciated it if Jagex made some kind of instance system where players aren't totally alone but aren't thrusted into a crowd either. I've seen it with MMOs like city of heroes, where if one zone gets crowded another instance of that zone is created to reduce lag. Actually I wasn't lagging at all even with all the people, it was as you mentioned the piles and piles of imps and people that made finding out what to do difficult.

I went through a lot of CRAP to see this movie, but I have to say, it was worth it. First day, the damn projector broke an hour in before it had even gotten to the good part. Second day, same showing time, same theater, it broke AGAIN, before the movie even started. Oh well, we got a few free movies per person out of the deal. So we go to Imax, and they're SOLD OUT. GRR. Then we FINALLY get to another showing. After watching the movie I completely forgot about the previous debacle. Great movie, I'd say it's easily up there with Star Wars and LoTR, if nothing else, for the amazing, unique world of Pandora. I admit the music wasn't the best, and some of the lines left something to be desired, but hell you can't expect ANY movie to be perfect. I highly recommend watching in 3D.
  19. How? Revenants wander all over the wilderness. They'd be a heck of a lot harder to hunt than normal boss monsters. They'd still be dangerous to anyone not specifically hunting them.
  20. Meh there used to be threads like this all the time before the sticky. At least it's not a GS shard. 7/10
  21. Mining. Most people don't max Runecrafting and Agility simply because they're long and boring, but I can deal with that. Mining however...
  22. For anyone interested: I whipped up a console program in C++ to crunch some numbers, with the odds based on the OP's log, and based on 100,000 total trials: The average number of kills to get 10 claw drops is 2230.35. The maximum in the 100k trials was 6501. The average highest drystreak in 10 claw drops was 650.873. The highest drystreak in the 100k trials was 3417. Note that "drystreak" only counts claws; this does not count ruined pieces. So, in other words, I don't feel so bad now; my having logged over 350+ kills since my last claw drop (though I got a ruined piece last trip luckily).
  23. While I agree that the duologue could in some roundabout way be considered slightly racist, it is necessary as the sheep should only be available to shear during the quest. And anyway, from the standpoint that humans economically exploit sheep, black sheep are inferior as their wool cannot be dyed, and as such is less valuable. But sheep are sheep, and humans are humans. Saying black sheep are inferior from an economic standpoint does not apply, by any stretch of the imagination, to humans, and also does not imply that black sheep are mean or evil or anything like that (or less tasty for that matter ).
  24. Yeah... where is the shortcut? I went back to that cave and I couldn't find it anywhere.
  25. I am having the same issue Attack them alternately. One won't heal the other if they are at about the same HP level.
