I'm hoping someone can help me with this, I really need my PC to work for a class I'm taking atm. Anyway, when I started up my computer this morning I got an error saying "missing operating system". After a LOT of googling, I found that sometimes it has issues with USB thumb drives, so I unplugged it. So now, instead of attempting to boot from my thumb drive, it tries to boot from some network thing, resulting in some weird PXE error. So I go into the BIOS and disable the PXE boot agent. Now I just get an error saying "reboot and select proper boot device"; which would appear after the boot agent failed anyway. Any of the above under their own circumstances would happen regardless of weather I selected my HD from the boot menu. It doesn't even give me an error message to the effect that it cannot boot from the HD, it just goes ahead and tries to boot from something else. If anyone has any experience with this and could help, I'd appreciate it. This is really puzzling. I'm so hoping my HD didn't die...

9th June 2009 - Run Energy Update / Patch Notes
Peronix replied to Johannas's topic in General Discussion
If even someone with 99 RC (thus very fast runs) don't need them, you're probably right. Just did enough crafting to use one ghraak pouch. After the whole run, I did manage to get down to about 10% energy. So I opted to rest for about 10 seconds instead of using super energy. -
9th June 2009 - Run Energy Update / Patch Notes
Peronix replied to Johannas's topic in General Discussion
Wow, super energy potions are practically useless now. I smell a crash :P Seriously, I regain the energy I use during a RC run while I'm crafting and banking. I mean unless you're going at super optimal crafting speed, you'll never need to sip super energy. And when you do, it recovers more than it used to. And that's just for 76 agility. Imagine it with 99... Yup, I imagine it actually helped it. I used to solo with a terrorbird, but with reduced energy drain rates and with sweets possibly recovering more (do they? haven't tried them but they did say energy restorers have been boosted) it could be worth using a bunyip and defiantly a unicorn when I get 88. -
http://abstract.cs.washington.edu/~tlin/drops/drops.pl# Try that one. Only problem I have with it is that it has a finite number of droplists you can have at any one time. It would help in the future if you would make your title a little more descriptive.

I'm looking for some way to find the locations of the penguins each week so I can gain some free summoning experience. Are there any useful clan chats out there that aren't CONSTANTLY full like penguins w60? Or better yet, any dedicated IRCs for this purpose?

~ Peronix's Blog ~ 85/99 Slayer ~
Peronix replied to Peronix's topic in BlogScape (Ongoing Progress Reports and Goals)
Updated the blog. I'm going to keep it very simple this time, no daily updates, no bumping for the sake of bumping, I'm just going to update when I get levels or get a decent drop, ect. Enjoy. And yeah, 99 slayer. That's going to take a while. Probably more than a year. -
Pretty much the only way you're going to have a profitable potion is to make a potion that is both useful and offers considerably less experience than other potions, to put off the people who prefer to power-level their skills by pouring money into them. It's why runecrafting is profitable: because the finished products are both useful and offer very little experience, thus runecrafting has very slow exp/hour. You can't have good exp and good profit in the same package, it's one or the other (at least after it has become widely known). The problem with many of these production skills is that the finished products offer too much experience, and/or are completely useless.

[/hide] No, it doesn't. It implies it, perhaps. But it does not definitely condemn homosexuality. (That's a debate for another time and another thread, which is my way of saying I don't feel like arguing) And you're right, it's not like something should be banned just because it's [supposedly] a sin. Go New Hampshire. I'm straight, and I'm Christian, but I support gay marriage so it's good news to hear. Nor do I. I realize that others may not see it the same way I do. The point is that although I do see it as a sin, I don't agree with purely religious arguments being used in public policy. Not everyone is a Christian (or believes it is a sin). [/hide] If you want a seperation of church and state, you shouldn't be living in the US in the first place (I don't know if you live there though). I don't so much want a separation, I'm just annoyed with Christians that stick their noses where they don't belong. And yes I do live in the US, but not necessarily by choice. I'm only 19 and still in college. Weather I relocate at a later time, we'll see.

Good for them. Honestly I don't understand homosexuals, but what I don't understand more is why people are fighting this issue tooth and nail. Yes the Bible clearly condemns homosexuality, but there are also a few scriptures that basically say that Christians shouldn't be dabbling in politics in the first place (and really, for a true separation of Church and state, religious issues should never be considered in politics). But whatever.

That's just to balance out all of the times when you get jack squat from someone who looses millions in gear. Anyway, I hate it when I go somewhere and start killing monsters and some guy walks in and says "OMFG I was JUST here!". Has happened quite a few times at KBD. It's really annoying; I can't be expected to know when someone has recently left and is coming back. I also can't be expected to hop for everyone that makes that claim.

Here we go again. SwiftKit illegal to use
Peronix replied to Earth_Poet's topic in General Discussion
Aww, is Jagex jealous that Swiftkit is so much better than their little half-assed client? Well, maybe they should get off their [wagon] and code that new client they promised us all that time ago during the first SS fiasco. I really can't understand this. WoW actually lets their players code actual addons to the game (some of which actually give something of an advantage in combat...), and Jagex is trying to ban a client which does nothing more than provide the useful utilities players would probably be using anyway in one convenient package. Not doing too well for your credibility, guys... -
Yeah, only problem with that is that almost all other worlds besides dedicated worlds have absolutely zero players at castle wars. I do remember a time when dedicated worlds were full to the brim swarming with players, and all worlds had a handful of players on it, but now it seems like there's only a handful of pros and a dozen or so newbs (relatively speaking) on dedicated worlds and nobody on the others. EDIT: Yeah I give up. I found a non dedicated world with people on it, I STILL [bleep]ING LOST. I'M SO GODDAMN TIRED OF LOOSING. :wall: :wall: :wall: ...Sorry, but I'm well beyond pissed right now. Especially with all of the taunting by the so called "pros" when they pile you with D claws, AGS, Barrage, ect... I guess I just miss the days when a level 90 me could score a point on a dedicated world while wearing full rune and a dragon long. I can only imagine how fast those clans would slaughter someone like that now.

I don't know how some of you can earn enough tickets in Castlewars for gold armor, I really can't. I've been playing castlewars for a couple of days now and I have lost every single damned game; about 8 of them. Quite frankly I am getting a little steamed. I've been trying my best to help my team win, but there's only so much one person can do. So how the heck am I supposed to actually earn tickets here? I've tried quitting from the loosing team and attempting to join the other one but I've waited a whole 15 minutes before without an offer, and sometimes some other guy in the room takes the spot from me (just like how when our team flag drops I am ALWAYS beaten to the drop). Typically it doesn't work out that well. Yeah... I'm kind of clueless here. Help? :(

Yeah because clearly Magic trees are great F2P Exp Fm is very similar in F2P but not the same Grats on a great 99 Yes, they're almost exactly the same. Almost no one uses magic logs to train. Few people even use yews anymore, maples are so much more cost effective. The only difference would be the near negligible exp bonuses from the beacon minigame rewards; which I myself didn't even make use of because I got my 99 before that. Regardless, this 99 is much better than 99 cooking and fletching, albeit a similar cost and speed, because it requires SO MUCH CLICKING. I'd say this deserves at least a 7/10, but I give it an 8/10 for having gotten it TWICE.
