  2. Whatever they do, I just hope they don't do another parody of a dragon item. They've done that the last two years in a row; though, the "dragon kite" was pretty awesome. :P I think a "Never goanna give you up" track would be epic. Maybe you unlock it after you try to put on the blue partyhat that magically appears in your bank.

    OMG 13GP!

13 gp for a hammer certainly makes a hulluva lot more sense than 1 gp. But seriously, just put it in your bank. I have one of every tool in my bank and I haven't been so cramped on space that I've needed to throw one of them out yet.
  4. MEII. I must have failed that damned ledge 30 times. I had to make several trips just because I kept running out of food. Followed closely of course by... rat catchers. Why, after murdering tons of random guards and men, am I forced to put up with them throwing me out? Why can't I just kill them? :wall:
  5. There are a lot of under updated area in runescape. Keldagrim, desert cities, mortaynia, elf lands, ect. But then most of these new areas were created for quests and not much else. Can't expect every place in runescape to be a bustling metropolis anymore than you can expect the same thing in any other MMO.
  6. Most of my friends know I play, but I don't talk about it simply because they don't play and wouldn't be interested in anything I'm talking about. It's just one of those things I do on my free time that I keep to myself.
  7. Took the survey; kind of odd that you require people to answer the questions on the last page. I pretty much just had to say "I Don't RWT" on all of them. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone on this forum who does. Maybe you should post this on [Caution: Jagex Rule Violation]? :P
  8. I can't deny it, GLaDOS had some awesome quotes. I always kind of liked the scene from system shock 2 where SHODAN first appears, but she comes off as way too serious and arrogant. Quote from GLaDOS: "Your entire life has been a mathematical error. A mathematical error, I'm about to correct." <- Made me lol. Epic win. One of my favorite scenes has to be the attack of the silver dragons scene from FFIX, mainly because of the music. Epic stuff there.
  9. No, this song was ruined when it became the rickroll. When I heard this song before I heard about that, I didn't care. Now hearing it just reminds me how annoying rickrolls are. Just because someone remixes it I don't care - as long as that in itself doesn't become a spinoff meme.
  10. Actually; don't have the quote, so don't ask; but I think I've heard a Jmod say once that it was unlikely but a possibility. Of course in Jagex language that means like years away to possibly never, but they still could do it, you never know. ;)
  11. You say level 99 is quite easy to achieve? I beg to differ. I've played mmos where it's easier to max your character out than it is to get a single level 99 on runescape. Also I think there are a couple of issues with increasing the level cap. For one, there are still skills where there are only new things unlocked up to between level 80-90. Why increase the cap when you still have work to do on the existing skill levels? Secondly, we have the skillcapes. Tons of people have already earned these, but if you changed the max level, you'd either have to take them away or leave it at level 99, which suddenly seems like kind of an awkward level when the cap is at 126. Level 100 would make more sense, but then you'd have a lot of angry people if they all of the sudden had to get 1.3m exp to get their capes back.
  12. It's pretty easy to figure out why people just buy the raw materials: Because gathering all of them yourself to get your gathering skill to 99, and then making all of that into a finished product to get one of your manufacturing skills 99, takes more time than it would take to simply use a faster moneymaking method, and then powertrain your manufacturing skill, and powertrain the gathering skill. It's about efficiency. Of course efficiency isn't everything, but personally I don't find the gathering skills to be all that fun, especially if we're talking about mining. True some of the manufacturing skills aren't all that fun either, but at least the exp rates can be raised significantly by putting money into it that I got from my favorite moneymaking method. And that's the point I think - if you DIY train, you have no choice but to use the gathering skills which you may find extremely boring. But if you buy all of your materials, you can use any moneymaking method you want. Runecrafting, boss hunting, merchanting, pking... ect, some of which people actually enjoy.
  13. Meh, I'd like to have a good outfit, I just don't know what looks good, therefore I don't even try. So, I just wear my RC cape and nothing else. That looks juuust fine right there :P
  14. I think I feel a little bit dumber after watching one of fred's vids. I can't believe there are 970k+ people that subscribe to that garbage.
  15. If the adze were upgraded to D pick, it would have to have some kind of limitation. Yes the adze is as good as a dragon axe, but it also occasionally burns the logs... which means it's not really the best choice if you're cutting yews or magics. So, it would need do so something like destroy the ores occasionally.
  16. It's a bit surprising that they've done this with the granite mace seeing how totally useless this item is as a weapon. I can understand why they would do this with dragon items and other rare drops, but this was never a desirable item to begin with.
  17. Personally for me it's slayer. It's such a bore for me. I already have 99 Runecrafting, and although it did take a long time, I can't imagine going for slayer. Not sure why prayer is even listed, especially now. If you have the bones you could go from 90-99 in less than a week. Yes getting the bones takes a lot of money, but how much time getting that money takes depends on your other skills or simple luck. Like... if you PKd an AGS in BH, or got a solo hilt drop from arma, you'd have most of the money right there.
  18. I don't mind if they continue a storyline, as long as they reveal some interesting things about the plot regularly. A quest that leaves you with more questions than answers isn't that good, especially when the unanswered questions start to pile up as the story goes along. It's why I've all but lost interest in that "Misfile" comic I used to read. Nothing interesting ever seems to happen anymore. :|
  19. I need to do a survey about awareness and concern of phishing attacks for a research project in one of my classes, so I've set up a simple online survey. If you could please take a minute to fill it out, I'd appreciate it. I would like ~50 respondents to have a decent sample size for the purposes of this report. Link: http://www.surveygizmo.com/s/118848/phishing-awareness-and-concern This is the first survey I've ever done. I'm not sure the questions are all that effective and I'm pretty much clueless about how to effecitvely distribute the survey. :? If you have any constructive criticism or advice you'd like to offer, you can PM me here and/or use the last space on the survey I've provided. Thanks in advance for your participation/help :)
  20. Well for one, to have any significant impact on the price of an item, you have to hoard a LOT of that item, which in turn costs a huge amount of money. So, your ability to affect to supply of an item is limited by how much money you have. This feature would provide a way to lower the supply of an item that would cost almost nothing other than the time spent doing it. It's essentially the same thing as if Jagex made alchemy yields follow GE prices.
  21. Most likely. Logically it makes sense. Instead of having two classes of PVP servers they'd have one class of pvp and one subclass of PvP BH. And voila, no RWT issues. Because I certainly haven't heard of anyone RWT'ing with PVP. Drop fixing, maybe. But not RWT. Well then, if that is indeed the case, the question arises... what will the point of bounty hunter style wilderness pking if you get the same rewards as in PvP worlds? Hmm... perhaps BH will have its own unique rewards? Hopefully something permanent this time. Edit: To be fair though, this does sound like it will actually be like the old wilderness. Not like in PvP worlds where it's 19ish levels plus the wild level. Still, some unique rewards would be nice.
  22. Bounty hunter PvP servers? So... does this mean they're removing the standard kill-and-loot aspect of the game? They didn't say specifically, but it sure sounds like it.
