  1. Couldn't agree more with you there bud. 91 RC feels... more like a glass ceiling now than an achievement. It is now merely the level where you stop getting more for your effort. I'm getting quite tired of arguing this point on the RSOF, too. Some [wagon] even had the nerve to call me the selfish one because "I wanted a benefit that only benefits a small portion of the RS population", RAAAAAAGEEEE!!! :x Even more rage from the fact that the Jmods posting seem to support him. I'm kind of regretting renewing my membership, all of the sudden.
  2. Oh please. According to the theoretical level for triple nats, 99 RC would give barely a 10% chance of giving triple nats. So you're saying someone who has 84 RC should keep his ability to get 50% more nats, while completely ignoring people who have worked even harder. And besides that, I bet you there's a LOT, LOT more people in the 84-90 range benefiting than 91-99 RCers that would benefit from triples.
  3. The thing with that, imo, is that with the extra people doing 2x, do we really need even more Natures coming into the game? I can definitely see the reason and logic behind 3x Natures, but on an economic level it wouldn't be wise. Why not? They're already lowering the price of nats by letting people below 91 runecrafting have a chance of doubling some of their runes. Why not compensate for that fact by giving people who are even HIGHER than 91 more? I mean, c'mon. I have more than double the experience of a 91 runecrafter, do I not deserve some kind of a bonus for that?
  4. More runes on the way to 91, maybe. But no more runes from 91-99. Which is pretty much the only thing I have a problem with at this point. If I know anything about coding, it would have been so easy to add mathematical curves after the current caps extending to the theoretical caps past 99 RC such that you could occasionally triple some of your nats, but they didn't. Well, it would be easy if their coding is good. But if they did a bunch of sloppy hard coding, I can see where that would be difficult.
  5. Forgot about the mace... But my point stands valid, you still have to use a god-based staff (mace in this case) and the power is simply borrowed from gods, not harnessed by yourself, thus making the level req. lower. Oh, OK, in that case let's make a quest where the reward is being spiritually linked to the Stone of Jas, giving you a level 70 spell that lets you hit 60s. I mean, it's alright as long as it's not our own power, amirite?
  6. Unforunatly no <_< Went there with 20 ess, boosted to 100 RC with cape, got 20 laws...
  7. I wonder, does Jagex not realize that deaths and bloods cost the same at this point? And yet they did nothing like add a duplication point somewhere between 91-99 for deaths. So fire surge is effectively more expensive to cast than flames of zamorak, hits less, has no special effect, and a quite cheesy animation if I may submit that one as well. Well, for barrows purposes, I think I'll stick to fire wave. Or maybe upgrade to claws of guthix like a few barrowers have recommended.
  8. Again, like brawlers, EP requires either PKing or 76king to use. The former is not something I am adept at, and the latter is a loophole that Jagex is intent on fixing (though they will probably fail at that like they have several times now ).
  9. Yeah... that sort of relates to something I told the guy I mentioned in the OP: skilling in PvP worlds is basically just taking a risk for the sake of taking risks, there is no tangible reward to it. Risk alone isn't enough for something to be fun. It would be another thing entirely if they gave exp bonuses simply for skilling in PvP areas... though, admittedly, something that blatantly simple wouldn't make a whole lot of sense.
  10. ...realise that sarcasm dosn't work with text unless you use sarcasm tags (because sarcasm is entirly intonation and body language, which is everything that text does not convey) Mostly true, but the way posts are written can convey intonation to some extent, e.g "Yeah, REAL smart." I don't think a lot of people would assume that I'm calling the person smart. ...get 99 slayer.
  11. A long time ago in a past, teachers had giant machines that slaughtered all children. However, now they eat monstrous amounts of cute chickens that are dangerous because they like to. On Sundays, cookies are slowly melted down to save the planet of New Zealand. The planet USA, however, tried to erect a statue which they believed would lead to the discovery of plankton! Which is very easy to eat without teeth because it has microscopic organisms. Pigs aren't too keen on swimming with alligators, crocodiles however, they really like to fly with mudkips. They like slaughtering eachother quickly. One day, an H-Bomb exploded, but nothing has destroyed mankind. Elephants, whose bank statements are very cool are likely to buy melted cheese. However, Stereotypes are a really nice thing. Grammar Nazis are epic phails, but they help to watch youtube videos of paris hilton, which does not rick roll people. A plot is something nice and warm. People should shove icecubes up their nostrils, because teh_langzor says so as he is really really hot... Not! Someday someone died because they wanted him alive. Gehackte is cool. Suddenly, a dragon killed a zombie, but it survived. And it went to the hospital. Unfortunately the hospital said: "You son, only you have enough power to automatically parse URLS. The Zombie was diagnosed with testicular... arthritis. The cure is playing with a really big shrimp that will shoop da whoop. Out of nowhere, Mollypop came and killed every person. Then, Captain Falcon licked my armpit it was salty, and he seeked the Holy Grail. On his quest, signatures owned him. Suddenly,a kitty died from eating vegetarian food from Silver_Wits house. I, Gallade64, pwn everyone. Fortunately, Ouchy_S rescued the food from Wongtong, so she ate more cookies, instead of glass...Then, Danno385 owned a glass menagerie. Danno385 is stupid. His sister pwns. Gallade64 Falcon Punched yo mama to try and copy fifty twss onto a large mudkip. The Large Mudkip evolved into a Chuck Norris clone whose power level was below -50. Goldblade29 is leet. Goldblade29 then died from Captain Falcon's bad looks. His dog likes men who make cheeseburgers and work in a really big nuclear disposal facility. This Nuclear place was secretly a lol cat farm. The small farm hosted gatherings of flamingo's that moo'ed. But Superman came and ate kryptonite which didn't exist. This somehow stopped Googlebombing tip.it to the power of -9000. Then, Tip.it pwned Rune HQ. Courage is the seventh cat on some sweet benches that were fluorescent that turns dreams into glass. Michael Jackson touched my uncle's cousin's brothers' son's dog's owner, Cousin Bob. It felt nice. Ugozima is kick-[wagon]. He is also a sad nub. Everyone agrees and Ugozima killed them. But suddenly they all exploded. KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!! Including Ugozima, when Guthix came earlier, he became Batman's new furry hat A few years back, scientists discovered the cause of the result. That this sentence wasn't a banana cream noob. Travis Touchdown taunted the tall green cat, who then ate Travis. The photophobic cat saved Travis Touchdown from a giant short person. "What the &@#$!?" said a noobish person, his name was not chuck norris. Star_in_the_sky's honorable mention is epic fail. As usual. When this happens, one two three is before 0 in negative numbers, so I is fail, just like the one named stewie3985. That was wrong because it's correct. Forum spammer abc1230: "I owned myself." abc1230 is a tantalizing piece of very very very fine pork scratching. Forum gamer abc1230 was feeling depressed because he just ruined forum games. Gallade64 is jealous of Ddraiggoch06's amazing forum spamming skills. Don't worry though I'm not stuck in a blender, I'm eating a ROUS. It's very long and hard just like those noobs called RSOF'ers who spam lots The new paragraph ate lolz cats but got sick. So it setout, and that means:<--To find the captain falcon punch but instead found jimmyw300 and laura00777 who killed itzdeffiliate whilst kissing eachother. With that done laura dumps jimmy in a fiery fire. Laura downloads pictures of jimmy. Jimmy resurrects and joins Gallade64's team of uber noobs. Jimmy gets kicked into outer space, where Raptors like Captain Falcon's fist enjoyed Wensleydale cheese and.. The end... of Nuck Chorris, which will never end, he wins. Unless he were I love how much this resembles the chaos elemental's ramblings. But is this prophetic...? :o
  12. I've been thinking about making a topic like this for a while now, but wasn't quite sure how to present it. Well I've had an interesting debate with some guy on the RSOF about it, and I think it sums up my points nicely (especially in my first post). At some points I probably seem a little immature, because frankly I was getting a little frustrated at the guy not even being willing to see the points of anything I was saying at all. Though it is definitely possible that I was wrong on some points  QFC: 81-82-26-59906105 [hide=first couple of posts] HIM: jagex said that one of the reasons the wilderness pking was removed was that picnicing at the abyss was not in the spirit of the game. when a dozen pkers can stand in the same spot so that skillers can see their numbers or counter attacking them for hours chatting, they are not acting in the spirit of the game. the wilderness was intended to be a place where armed and armored pkers faced off against armed and armored pkers to be the best. instead you had people that feed off skillers, unwilling to earn money themselves. THAT is precisely what you said you want. save, soft, unarmed, unarmored targets to feed off. EARNED YOUR OWN MONEY. ME: ***, if that is true, then why did they not simply relocate the abyss? It stands to reason that the whole reason they put the entrance to the abyss in the wilderness in the first place was to add an element of danger coming from other players to runecrafting, while providing a better reward for that risk. If they wanted to keep the element of danger while removing the PvP aspect of it, all they would have to do is do something similar to ZMI with the abyss. But personally, even though I was defiantly not a fan of abyss PKers, having ranted regularly in those days about them, I kind of miss them now. First and most importantly because since the risk has been almost completely removed, more people use the abyss and thus prices on runes have dropped (and still are low even today, if you adjust for inflation). And secondly, because the risk made RCing with the abyss interesting. Every approach to the abyss was dangerous, every time I saw a while dot my heart pounded, and I got ready to teleport the hell out of there if I got frozen, or chug that sara brew in case I got teleblocked and binded. Yes, abyss pkers were losers IMO. But I liked having them around, it gave me an enemy. I loved having an enemy. After that fateful December, all the fun went out of RCing for me, even though I still went on to get 99. [/hide] So yeah, I realized that after abyss pkers were removed from the equation, I no longer found RCing fun because it was just a grind. I told other people that I still found it fun, probably just to drive myself to 99. But the fact that I have gained barely 200k exp in RC since I hit 99 speaks for itself. So, I'm interested to get your opinions on this. What do you think about having exceptional skilling methods that inherently involve PvP risk? Do you think they would add an interesting and fun element to the game? Or am I really in that small of a minority? PS: Oh, and just to be clear, I don't consider brawlers a valid thing for drawing skillers to PvP worlds, because that inherently requires you to be a PKer (or, at least 76k. but that's just a silly loophole )
  13. Well, I think a 99 skill would be a pretty reasonable reward for having spent months and months endlessly grinding away killing tens of thousands, perhaps over a hundred thousand, monsters. But I don't think an experience reward would make much sense here. It's the champions guild, I'm not sure how they would be able to bestow mastery in skills like slayer, or whatever else. More than likely the reward will be a sword of some sort, perhaps a one handed sword with stats just below the godsword, and the speed of a longsword. That would make the champions challenge actually worth doing, especially if you're someone who already has maxed total. Well, actually people with maxed total could hold the lamp until a new skill came out, and then instantly get 99 in it (or after they have trained to some prerequisite level to use the reward). I don't think that would be very fair, honestly...
  14. Well, I've pretty much been in the same boat as you. And you know what one of my friends finally told me? That it was because people were intimidated by me. I know, it kinda shocked me, too. I've always thought of myself as a nice guy, though quiet. But it makes perfect sense. Human beings are social creatures, so I guess it just unconsciously makes people nervous when someone behaves in an antisocial manner.
  15. No, but only because it's never occurred to me to try it. Now that I've read this topic, I'll probably try it the next time I get a frosty and fries. If I remember.

    Autism

The description on the test itself stated that it was not a means of making a diagnosis; rather that the average for people who were not autistic was around 16 and that functional autistic people tended to score 32 or higher. Having a similar, less severe disorder or even simply being a very introverted person would likely be enough to put you past 32 (assuming you answer honestly). I found the questions about being able to remember dates and such a little odd. While a small percentage of autistic people do have exceptional skill in certain areas (known as splinter skills), exceptional level of skill in these areas is not necessarily an inherently autistic trait...
  17. 184,384,615 xp / 3984 hours (166 Days) = 46,281.28 xp/hr. Honestly I expected the xp/hr to be much lower considering how much time I've spent just screwing around on RS.
  18. Player owned classic servers? Cool I guess. I did all but 2 of the quests back in classic, legends being one of them; I've always wanted to try doing that one in classic. But for whatever reason, my classic account was reset long ago back to a lvl 3 noob. No idea why. I guess this will give me an opportunity to do that quest. That probably won't take all that long though. I really doubt I'll get into this whole player run servers thing unless they also let player rent runetek5 cheat servers. Would be nice if I could experiment with some of the spiritual shields, but I doubt that's going to happen.

  20. That's true but remember there is going to be a higher character limit than the current 12 and use of characters which are currently not allowed. So that will give a few more options. Exactly. I've had to abandon more than a few username ideas because of the 12 character limit... or have had to abandon the idea anyway because it was already at the 12 character limit, but taken, so I couldn't add numbers or anything to it. I believe they also said in the blog that banned and possibly inactive accounts would have to pick a different display name if someone else wanted it? That in itself would open up a lot of unavailable usernames. As to new characters being allowed, I'm not particularly happy about that; it will undoubtedly cause even more confusion for people trying to report genuine abuses where the perpetrator has intentionally obfuscated their username. I guess I can only hope that they will do what I have suggested and been shot down on previously on the RSOF; that regular users be given some form of the right-click report functionality that player moderators already have.
  21. Wait, so they're allowing special characters to be used in the names? I didn't get that from reading the dev blog. But if they do, they'd better give regular players the right click report functionality that player mods already have. It's difficult enough now having to type in some people's names into the report field without throwing all the other keys on the keyboard into it, or god forbid, the entire ASCII/UTF range.
  22. Doubtful it was MA, they said this new update would be f2p. Also they said this hasn't been done before; I'm pretty sure I've seen RTS styled minigames in other MMOs. Whatever it is, it probably ties in with the now unused space on the interface.
  23. Hmm, sounds good. Might even get rid of that pesky bank pin if they release this. Here's hoping they release this in the form of an iPhone app as well.
  24. This could either turn out to be a great way of removing junk or an poor-average one. It all depends really on what the higher level resource rewards are like. If the rewards are either not worth the time or not worth the investment then it will unfortunately be the latter case, but you never know, Jagex could surprise us on this one. And I do agree that the first scenario is boring, but we haven't even been able to try the other three due to bugs. The other three will no doubt prove more interesting. But if I am ever going to play MA again, one thing Jagex is going to have to fix is the waiting room system. Good god, a trained monkey could have come up with a better system. I absolutely hate it. -.-
  25. Ah, I remember that game. It was fun until I realized that extinction of the human race could only be achieved by pure luck. First it was Japan that got me, then the ever infamous Madagascar... urgh. Think the situation in the comic above is ridiculous? Well in a few of my attempts I created a disease that had zero symptoms (no, not even coughing), no deadliness whatsoever, and the people began closing their borders because of it. I thought it would make sense to infect the entire population and then activate the deadliness of the disease, but no, as I said, it's PURE LUCK. :| Another fun one I've been a bit addicted to lately is super mario 63. It's a 2D Mario flash game that combines elements from SM64 and Sunshine... and others. The story isn't half bad, either.
