  1. say that gives me an idea! two sets of teleports for every telespell, one thats used in non-wildy areas, which are generally lower leveled, and then higher leveled "Wilderness Teleports", which require +65-70 magic, and maybe an extra law or two (but give the same exp as the lower leveled versions).
  2. or maybe make them part of the easter holiday event.
  3. very few people in f2p can make 4m+ in 24 hours. And this is a F2P guide.
  4. saradomin staff = magic battle staff = melee for defense. I think he's kinda basing the idea of chinese monks who I believe carried staffs. The books, yea thats what the god books are for. boots, not bad. +1 prayer like white knight's i suppose.
  5. I think the prayer bonus for this item should be the same as the Initiate helm, seeing as how the body and legs match the bonus for the monk robes top and bottom.
  6. if i remember correctly, Chrisitan monks prefered to keep their heads exposed to God, but they wore hoods should the need arise (weather, etc). I actually like this idea, but i have to wonder, would this be p2p only ? (not that i'd mind, but seeing as how monk robes are f2p, i would hope we would get it too).
  7. I thought of three new members only weapons: the Quest Master's Axe, the Quest Master's Bow, and the Quest Master's Staff. (Name can change, i just cant think of better names). Basically, its a longsword, requring 70 attack (and maybe strength) for the Axe, 70 Range for the Bow, and 70 Mage for the Staff. They each offer bonuses based on the Quest Points you have earned, with a maximum that fits each stat (perhaps +70 ish to crush and slash for the axe, with a decent strength bonus, around +65 range, and +55 mage). Perhaps the bonus one recieves could be based on the percentage of quest points that a user has out of points possible. For instance, if at this moment the maximum QP's were 200, and i had 150, i would get 3/4's of the maximum possible stat bonus (For the axe, i would get 52.5, or 53 rounded up) . These would be non-tradeable weapons, but would cost a fair amount of GP to buy and replace, perhaps with a rather difficult quest to go along with it. As for specials, perhaps the Axe would have a 100% drain that lowers your attack and strenght by 5-10, but hits with your max hit on the opponent. The Bow would send an arrow that does slightly increased damage (maybe one point higher than normal) and does damage to anyone in a 3x3 square around the target (including the person who used the special if it applies). The widespread damage would be about 1/3 of the hit (if i hit for 18, then the players around would be hit for 6). Drain: 33%. The staff would have a special that would be used defensively. It too is a 100% drain, but casts an aura that reduces damage from physical and range attacks by 33%.
  8. maybe it could be a download that costs $10, but gives you a free month or so of membership with the download, and a special item (hat or such), non tradeable, just to show that you downloaded it. Of course i guess there is the runescape client, but what you're talking about is much different.
  9. personally, i think that all these "attacking" randoms need to go away...whats the point of killing a player? Just use events to tele them into another are...no one dies, and they can't AFK train. If nothing else, that Chicken definately needs to go...it damages you way to much too fast.
  10. A Silver crown might not be made since then players may try to trick new players into thinking they are mods and then scare them into giving free stuff.
  11. i already gave runes to it, and damage. Its just a normal weak spell. Same exp as whatever spell they chose to make it like. Its just im saying one of the requirements would be that the candy cane spell must be equiped to use it, not that you get to cast it for free. If you did it would probably be like the rubber chicken, an animation that isnt really and attack. Edit: well they announced their plans for the Christmas Event in their updates. read it for the full story, but heres the rundown on the prizes:
  12. i'll just copy and paste my response from another similar topic in the General RS board: I personally hope that an idea i posted in another thread is used: Basically, you find santa, who gives you a bag of 3 gifts addressed to specific NPCs. You have to track them down and give them their reward. Then, either Santa Teleports to you, you to him, or you go back to see him (which ever is most feasable), and he decides to give you a present box for your hard work. You open it to get a Candy Cane staff, same stats as the plain magic staff, but shaped like a giant Candy Cane. Oh! I got another Idea! what if they made a special "SnowBall" spell, same stats as maybe fire strike, but with water mind and air, and no other effects. And make it exclusice to the Candy Cane. It would be a fun spell, nothing else...
  13. Creating a new spot on the character would probably take too much effort. They would probably just make it a non tradable item that you use when "writing" a check.
  14. actually god boots/gloves would be awesome! and god squares and chains would be cool as well. I really wouldnt mind wearing those (I actually think chains look cooler than plate armor.
  15. An update everyweek...compared to most MMORPGS that is ALOT...they get plenty for $5 a month...I really want to be a member, but i dont have time with college apps and stuff, but this summer, i plant to get it for 3 months.
  16. got that part covered
  17. well, the check option, if you read the second paragraph, also provides a sort of anti-scam protection. Plus it would be more "real" to have checks used this way instead of just accessing your bank whenever you trade.
  18. And jagex is a company, the can and will make other games, but that doesnt mean that they will necessarily scrape runescape. Its just not wise to scrape a successful game like runescape and put your company's future on the line with a new game. Even if it was EXTREMELY popular for the first few months, who knows if it will have the long term support Runescape already has. Think about it this way: An automobile company will continue to add new models, but they will not scrape the older succesful models out of the way...
  19. I've noticed that often when im about to leave the bank I see a good deal, but my money is usually in my account, and by the time i withdraw it someone else usually gets to trade. Or at other times I just wish I had my cash, but carrying money isnt safe as you loose it when you die. Now, my idea is to create a check sort of thing. Basically how it works is you have a checkbook and when you enter a trade, you type the amount you want on the check, enter your PIN (so that incase your account is hacked you still cant use money from inside the bank), then offer it. The amount will be clearly posted next to the item much like the amount of GP is posted. Heck if we make the system act so that you can't write another check while you have one offered, you could even prevent the scams in which theplayer quickly removes most of the money (i.e. 100k to 10k or the like). Because you have to re-click your pin each time, the scammer wouldnt be able to pull a fast one. Now to prevent check bouncing, the game automatically stops you from entering amounts you don't have in your bank, and as soon as the check is traded, the gp is removed from your account, so that you cant offer the same amount to someone else, which would result in either gp duplication or check bouncing.
  20. yea he does mention the cycling of night and day...
  21. the cycling through night/day would be cool if certain things happened only at night or day (for instance, maybe ghosts will roam around the map at night, while other animals do during the day). But im sure this would take too much memory to implement.
  22. im kinda against the idea completely, but if it was to be implemented, one thing they could do would be to create "spectator" accounts that anyone could use to go into free world. It cant really do anything (no training, quests, etc), just walk around the world and see the extras members has to offer. Also, you cant type or trade, thus leaving the members alone.
  23. get 99 mage, prayer, smithing. Buy a blue phat for myself, a green or purple for my friend. do a massive drop party, then just kick back with whatever i have left.
  24. If they do come out with Player Owned houses, I hope we can decorate them with stuff like current NPC houses. For isntance, maybe people who own houses can buy an armor display stand so that they can display their armor as decoration in their homes (much like the Old Man does with it saradomin armor). Also, maybe during Christmas, they can have special "Christmas Spruce" trees popup all over the world, which players can cut to get a "Christmas tree" to display in their homes for the holidays (it would be untradeable and last only about 2 weeks prior to and 1 week after Chrismas). Then of course you can add a range, a bed, an icebox to store food, furniture to store stuff like clothes (robes, capes, etc), a hat stand for helms/hats, etc.
  25. I enjoy crafting, and im f2p, so my two favorite areas are falador (near craft guild) and Alkharid, since it is very self-sufficient for crafting...has a tanner, a shop, mines for silver and gold to the north, a bank, furnace, gem stall (i actually find people selling gems there, which i pick up at great bargains), a shop to sell stuff like leather items which few people buy. All that is missing are sheep and spinning wheels for ammulets. Plus, I like the whole desert feel to Alkharid...very different compared to the rest of the Runescape World.
