  1. actually, me and a friend were talking about a play on p-hats jagex could pull: 1) a "P" hat, which is a regular hat of some sort with a "P" on it 2) A pea pod shaped hat, called a Pea Hat. In the update, to make it seem like they released phats, they could use a line such as "Also, the townsfolk in Draynor Village are excited over these new hats Diango has. Our reporter couldn't talk to Diango, but he heard an excited murmor about "p-hats"...
  2. I dont think so, because when I attack skulled people in wildy who attack me, I get skulled. At least I think I did, I should go and double check.
  3. If i am not mistaken, mages do get skulled in wildy for using spells. So I really have no idea what you mean.
  4. If you really, REALLY think about it, f2p does get updated quite a bit. Not like with quests, skills, and powerful items, but most of the random events and ALL BUT TWO emotes have been f2p. In fact, event the randoms that give clothes and other cool items are f2p. Plus, they even added another item for us today, the Yin-Yang Ammulet. No stat "bonusaii" (lol sorry I had to use it), but it looks great, perhaps the largest ammulet I have seen. Plus, they do occasionally add weapons and stuff to balance game play. For instance, I remember shortly after I started training range in like 2005, Jagex noted the underpowered rangers in f2p, and added willow and maple bows, and arrows up to addy arrows; prior to this, f2p only had oak bows and steel arrows. Also, they even updated a f2p quest this month; Romeo and Juliet. It now has about 2-3 cutscenes, more NPC's (Juliet's father, her cousin, and two sleeping churchgoers), and have redone the model for the existing NPC's. Not to mention they added enemies using ranged attacks (Falador Bow and Crossbow Guards, Barbarian Bowsman), and completely revamped over half of the non-Wilderness f2p world. As if THAT weren't enough, they are even kind enough to let f2p enjoy ALL of the rewards for holiday events so far. Jagex gives plenty to use, you just have to be a tad bit observant.
  5. where did you guys get this? I wanna see if i can find it too.
  6. Since April 1, 2004, from what I gather a new type of toy is added as an April Fool's Joke, based on highly desired updates, to Diango's Toy Stand. On April 1, 2004, the Toy Horses were released, Stating that Horses were added to the game. On April 1, 2005, the "Dragon" Spinning Plates were released. My guess is that Jagex will continue with this tradition of mocking highly requested items. I have listed the possibilities for toys that Jagex might add: Model/Doll House (Player Owned Houses). "Dragon" Tooth Pick. A dragon design flying Kite. Post your guesses for the new toy on this thread, or discuss any that I have predicted.
  7. I prefer karamja volcano lesser demons over the wizard tower. There are about 2-3 safe spots, and since its single combat, you dont have to worry about others "stealing" you lesser. Plus, you dont have to telegrab any good loot you find, and you can always go out and catch more tuna/lobs/swordies to heal up.
  8. Ammulet of Rabbit +0 in all stats Special effect: Turns you into a (regular) rabbit while equipped. You cannot fight or be attacked, cannot equip it if previously attacked/are in a fight, and cannot wear in wildy/duel arena/etc.
  9. Well, I suck at drop parties (i have to use laptop touch pads, so Im usually too late to click on items). However, I made up for it in the quiz area, where I won addy (g) full (skirt not legs). I was happy too, cus I had to log off for a minute since my game froze up. Thanks alot masors. Also, when i Get 60 mining and 50 smith, I'll see if i can get in :)
  10. Point noted, and fixed. I was merely assumming that based on the results of about 13 people I talked to, but since special cases may exists, I will just list the parings you get them in.
  11. The only theory I have heard about mimes is that having a full inventory while doing something helps. The reasoning is that the Mysterious Old Man teleports you to the mime, and that if your inventory is full, he is not able to give you a box (which cannot be dropped). The theory states that this leads to more mazes and mime events.
  12. well, being the f2p player I am, I would have to say Dragon Slayer, followed by Ernest the Chicken, purely because of the level maze (though I have to say its nice of Jagex to keep a clever quest like that f2p!).
  13. Leo the Gravedigger was a random event released in conjunction with the Hundreth Quest, Recipie for Disaster, on March 15, 2006. This event is exclusive to the prayer skill (a disappointment for pures with 1 prayer). The event has a total of 5 clothing items and two emotes as rewards. The items and emotes are always given in the same set. That is, you will always recieve either : -Boots and Shirt -Gloves and Trousers -Mask -Zombie Walk Emote -Zombie Dance Emote. -500 gp (when you have full zombie and all emotes) Almost all of the players with Zombie clothes and emotes claim that they got the rewards in order according to the list (boots and shirt first, dance last), but there have been a few people saying they got another paring first. The clothing itself does not provide any bonuses, and if you should lose any item, the next gravedigger event will replace it. Getting the event is easy. All you have to do is bury bones. There are two ways I would go about this, depending on the amount of money and time you have to spend on this event. NOTE: These are methods that work well on f2p, p2p might have more efficient ways to go about this, but the basic premise remains the same. A) The "$$$" Method This involves going to a relatively populated world, and heading to an area such as the Chicken Coop between Varrock and Lumbridge. Simply buy bones from players here. Usually, if you buy for 10-30 gp per bone, you will get plenty of sellers. Keep about 50000 and teleport runes with you (incase you do get a Shade, Zombie, Chicken, or other harmful event, its nice to have a little "safety button"). Of course, something like an ectophial can replace the runes if you are p2p, but I doubt alot of players will sell bones for such low prices there. 50K Gp might actually be too much; I got all 5 Leos with about 11K gp myself. However, having more money will always benefit you, plus you can actually deposit money into your bank during the actual event (more on this later). B) The "Poor Man's" Method If you do not have, or do not desire to spend, the money for bones, you will have to acquire bones yourself. Often players leave bones on the floor at the above mentioned Chicken coop (as well as the Champs guild coop and the Dark Wizards circle), but usually you have a competitor who will either entice players to pick them up for profit by buying them, or simply run around picking up bones with you. Therefore, I would choose to go to either the Lumbridge-Draynor coop, used for the Sheep Shearer quest, or the farmouse near draynor, south of Falador. Also, another alternative is any cow pasture; people usually pick up the hides, and sometimes the meat, but very often leave the bones on the floor. We warned that these methods will be much slower than the cash method Regardless of which way you choose, try to go on a crowded world; I found randoms to occur more often on these worlds. Also, while the Chaos Temple and the Bone Yard in the wild seem like good places, you have the fear of PKers there. Plus, I rarely got randoms in wildy (i tired both of them), and when I did they were always shades or Zombies. Additional Tips: Kill the Zombies if you can. Some of them drop lots of bones (I had one drop 6 b bones and 3 regular bones). Shades are your call, depending on whether or not you want to try for a robe drop. The Event: After you bury a bone, if you see a message a litte off to the side saying "Your name, Come with me please" and smoke appear, congrats, you got the event! Note the comment about the mausoleum being used as a bank deposit box. The conversation with Leo explains this, but if you click somewhere before it finishes, you can miss that, and the directions below (happened to me on my first event) So the jist of the event is to remove the 5 coffins and place them in the correct graves, based on the items inside the coffin, then talking to Leo. Your side panel now only has the options for friends/ignore list, inventory, log out, and music. Also, if you log out during the event, you will log back in in the graveyard, so if your connection goes wacky, do not worry, you will simply start back in the grave. Now there are only 5 types of coffins and graves at the moment: Miner, Cook, Crafter, Farmer, and Woodcutter/Fletcher. Each time the graves will belong to a different corpse; for instance, the northeastern grave may be a miner once, but then the next time it can be the grave for the Crafter. Therefore, the only real choice you have is to compare the coffin items and the tombstones for the graves. Personally, I first studies which grave was which corpse, then based on that checked my coffins and placed them into the appropriate grave. For easy reference, I have provided pictures of the tombstone and coffin for each corpse. Note that all the items and symbols in the coffin and on the tombstone will be spinning during the game: Cook: Tombstone: Coffin: Crafter: Tombstone: Coffin: Farmer: Tombstone: Coffin: Miner: Tombstone: Coffin: Woodcutter/Fletcher: Tombstone: Coffin: Well, I hope this mini-guide of sorts helped out those confused by the event, or even those just curious about what it is like. I will update this with the pictures of my items and the emotes sometime tommorow. On a purely asthetic note, since the gloves do not make your whole arm the green color, many people choose to change their default top to a longsleved shirt. This can be done in Varrock, in Thessellia's Clothing store accross the General Store in the center. Choose to talk with her and ask about the makeover special. Changing the top will cost 500 gp. Remember, this is not mandatory, but will help your character's arms look better. Thanks for reading, Indizle. Btw, Mods, if there are too many pictures or whatnot, feel free to remove them, or message me and I will gladly do it myself.
  14. Generally, from what I gather, people who Read Game Informer are usually older teenagers, young adults. Im hoping that any influx we recieve can help to counter the many people who are currently immature.
  15. If we assume this meant that the free Chickens from Diango were gone, then actually the price might be quite high, perhaps around 3 mil, but probably more like 1.5 million. I think a fair amount of people got the Chicken to keep prices low.
  16. Or, even better, Improvise and Role play! I find nothing more enjoyable then running around making up stories and acting them out, and so on. I remember one of my most enjoyable memories in Runescape was after the release of wands. A member friend of mine came dressed with a wand, robes, etc, as Harry potter, while I dressed in black robes (the raggedy greenish looking ones), the bobble scarf, red hair, and the bobble hat as Ron Weasly, (from the book series Harry Potter for those poor souls living under a rock). We went around, making places like the white Knights castle Hogwarts, the Wizard's Tower Gryffindor Tower, draynor manor the shreiking shack, etc. We held "lessions" (I think high alch was potions, while bones to bananas was transfiguration). These sort of things are very fun and easy, and certainly break the monotony of the game. Plus, even in f2p, ther are many items you can get to customise looks and make your own storylines! You don't need updates to have fun in f2p, just try different things!
  17. Nope, it only covers part of your arm. A shame really, but ah well. Just change your default shirt to a long armed black one to make it look better (done at Thesselia in Varrock, accross the general store). I personally LOVE my zombie items; this is what i wanted the Halloween event to be! Also, did anyone notice that the Zombie mask is shaped like the Zombie head we recieved from Halloween 2005, rather than the standard zombies? Could it be that they will update zombies like they did with the Barbarians, making them look more like the masks we now have? Also, as an added bonus, this event got me to raise my prayer past 43, something I doubt i would otherwise have the initiative to do.
  18. Nah, after this weeks update, Im guessing hes gonna be rarer. Also, fewer people will be excited and bury bones, and thus fewer Leo's will pop up. Lastly, MOM and dwarf can appear during any skill, or even while you stand still. Leo is exclusive to prayer, and perhaps even only training prayer by bones (not sure if ghasts or exctofunctus(sp?) work).
  19. I burried enough bones to get me from 43-46 prayer with one leo...
  20. I personally find the new female figure to be kinda messed up looking. It was better when they didnt have, as ScarletEve put it, "toothpick" features, like really skinny neck, legs, and waist. Meh, but I have noticed that it does look like females are shorter than males...but maybe its my imagination. Also, while we are on the subject, why are there nor female dwarves, giants, or goblins? They all look too much like men to even imagine as female (beards, bald head)...
  21. Nope, I asked a member in Varrock on a f2p server to offer me his green (g) draghides in a trade. He could offer them.
  22. the walk...does the character actually move forward? or is like a "stationary" walk? Btw, congrats on full zombie and emotes. Could you perhaps estimate how many of which type bones you had to bury?
  23. I don't know if it just seems that way, but during the first week a random event is released, i tend to see it more often than like the second week and beyond. Why do you think I stopped RC'ing airs and went to hills? Hope to get 5 Gravediggers to get all the emotes and clothes...its my favorite by far!
  24. nice, doesnt seem to be too hard to get :) And it looks awesome, my favorite so far. Hill giants here I come!
