  1. When I got level 100, I didn't even realize it for a few minutes. Same with 101. Really though, the anticipation of getting it is a lot better than actually killing that last monster for it. I was looking forward to it and then when I checked my stats and saw the 100, I was just like "oh, cool". :P Good luck though. Remember to have fun on your way there. :D
  2. I'm a loser. I need friends. D;
  3. There was a football thread, but it sort of died during these two weeks between the conference championships and the Superbowl. It'll probably come back up or a new one will be started this Sunday. Anyway, being a New Yorker, I'm a Giants fan. It's just a shame watching them play like a high school team in a playoff game. D;

    Are you kidding? If someone crashed because a snowball hit the side of his car, he really shouldn't be driving in the first place. Seriously, veering into another car and killing someone? What if he skid on the snow? What if he happened to run over something small on the road? What if someone were to honk loudly right next to him and startle him? If your reaction to a loud thump on the side of your car is completely turning your steering wheel, not hitting the brakes, and crashing into something, you most definately could not handle any of the things I mentioned (which are much more likely to happen) and should not be driving. I'm not saying he should go around bragging about what he did or anything, but some of you are blowing this way out of proportion. He's the type of kid that gives teenagers a bad name? Yeah, I'm sure...it's definately not the trash that walk around town at midnight with like 10 friends, cursing and laughing all over the place, hanging out at street corners in their hoodies smoking weed...the ones that throw snowballs at things completely ruin teenagers' reputations. This is like saying people who don't put a quarter into their parking meter give adults a bad name. -.- Besides, throwing a snowball at a car is hardly vandalism. Just a really **** thing to do. I highly doubt a snowball could make a dent in a car. I've thrown snowballs at my windows, my cars, stop signs and nothing has happened. He probably packed some ice into it or something by accident. Well, whatever the case, he's immature at worst, not a criminal. Oh, and the whole "if you had a car you wouldn't have done this!" thing is just completely stupid. I mean, OK, maybe if he had one he wouldn't have done it. Great, now what's your point? The fact is he doesn't have a car, so he did what he did. Maybe if he had one, he wouldn't have, but that's irrelevant. Do you do everything your parents tell you to do without question and right away? No? Wow, I bet when you have kids you're going to want them to wash the dishes or do the laundry as soon as you tell them. Don't obey your parents like you were their slave? You're the kind of person that gives all sons/daughters a bad name! You're the reason Santa gave me coal in my stockings on Christmas! D;
  5. Am I the only one who doesn't see any of those characters on the main page? I see the old Runescape logo, and on the sides of it are nothing, jus the stone background thing. That's strange. :?
  6. aww :( ron on the kings doesn't sound right Peja on any other team than the Kings just ISN'T right! :cry: First Divac, then Webber, and now Peja. Before you know it, those two idiot brothers are going to trade Bibby for Antonio Davis or someone. :?
  7. Boats were made centuries upon centuries before cars and motorcycles, but of course you knew that.
  8. Don't remind me. :cry: What happened to the good ol' days, the Kings/Laker rivalry? Stojakovic is still my dog though, even if he is past his prime now. :P This is a wild season in the NBA all together. What about them Pistons? Pulling out a 2 point win to keep their streak alive. 33-5 now. I called it back when they had like 24 wins, this team is going 72-10 and setting Jordan's Bulls record for most wins in a season. ;D
  9. Now, this is completely my own opinion, but if you aren't willing to share a password with your girlfriend, you might want to rethink your relationship. Doesn't seem right that you don't trust her enough with your password to something. However, if she's specifically asking for it, there might be a hidden agenda. But just in general, I feel a (serious) couple should be able to share passwords to things. :/
  10. You're a noob because you have "g unitpk" in your name. :P
  11. 14-3 Steelers now. Stupid false start kept the Colts from a touchdown. Some more nice drives like the one they just did to kick the field goal, and the Colts will have it. But the Steelers could just as easily score back. My money is on the Colts though. They definately deserve to win it all this season, and if they play their best, no one is going to stop them.
  12. I do/get everything I need myself. Why? Not because the rewards are any more meaningful to me. Not because I like the experience points. But because I'm cheaper than those grandmas that give out a nickel for Halloween. :oops: I can't bring myself to buy raw materials; it's just too expensive. Even if I have more than enough to afford something, I won't buy it just because I horde my money. It's amazing how I'm still dirt poor though...
  13. Well, there go the Giants. They looked like a damn high school team out there today compared to the Panthers. :( Colts over Panthers in the Superbowl. 35 - 17 :P
  14. Yeah, yeah! And...and then a cyborg will pop out of the Atlantic Ocean and throw 400lb pigs at us until we're all crushed to death.

    Eagles. Obviously enough. :P
  17. Yay! Someone who thinks like me! If you're not going for the jukebox type, I'm personally a fan of iRivers. And dymed, that Philips Jukebox looks really nice. I've been searching for a good one for a while now, and I think I might've found it. :) How's the sound quality of it? As good as anything iPod or Zen or whatnot. No compromise in sound quality. And the earphones it comes with are top-notch too. :D
  18. Philips Jukebox The greatest mp3 player out there. It looks and works better than any iPod. Just look at the thing. It's beautiful. No buttons whatsoever, it's all touch sensitive. When it's turned off, it's completely slick and black. When it's on, the blue backlight lighting up the "buttons" adds a really nice touch. And the little bar in the middle owns the scroll wheel in terms of control. Built in radio, voice recorder, and it plays movies. Philips Jukebox > * The pictures don't do it justice. You need to go to your local Best Buy or something and actually hold one. It's amazing. Philips ftw 8)

    Does that mean you need to transfer to a school with a med program for your least year of undergrad? Good luck! Nope, I earn my bachelors at Princeton, but I'll technically be in med school. And thank you, I'll need it. As for MCATs, 27/28 is generally considered to be the "cutoff point" for American medical schools. Anything under that and you're going to need some serious luck. Shoot for around a 34/35. (Just so everyone knows, the MCATs are out of 45, 15 for each section. However, unlike the SATs where everyone knows someone who knows someone who got a 1600, a perfect score on the MCAT is damn near impossible. Anything above a 40 and you are almost guaranteed admission to any medical school of your choice.) *spews coke on the monitor* Aim for a 35?!?! Jesus thats high. Average for Johns Hopkins (technically ranked 2nd to Harvard when it comes to Med Schools, but no offence I would take Hopkins any day) is a 32. I saw first hand with both my brothers studying literally all summer how untangible difficult the MCAT is, I read somewhere that only 1 person broke a 40 in last year and no one got a 45 since '97. Shoot for a 35? If I manage that one I'll give you my 7 remaining party hats... heck if you managed that I'd give you them! Best of luck to both of us~ *cheers* No one getting a 45 since '97 I can believe (or at least not more than 5 people). A guy I interned with got a 42 last year (or the year before). Ended up going to UPenn Medical College. And that is exactly what I got, the very minimum of 36 to qualify/stay in that program. To the two schools I've applied to for now, in case I decide not to stick with my accelerated program, I've gotten rejections from both already. :( But yes, best of luck to both of us. :D And by the way, Hopkins > Harvard. I'd take it over Harvard anyday. :P Technically, Harvard Med is ranked one for practicing physicians. Hopkins Med is ranked one for medical research. At least that was the case in 2004 I think.

    Actually, I don't live on campus. My sister and I both go to Princeton, and my dad is an overprotective father who believes that every guy in the world is out to assault his daughters or something, so he bought us a house right by the campus that we both live in. I'm in my 3rd year, but it's possibly my last year here. I'm in an accelerated MD program, which means that instead of the traditional 8 year road of becoming a doctor (4 undergrad + 4 med school), I can do it in 7 years. This means that one year I will have to double up as both an undergrad year, where I earn my BS or BA, and a first year of med school. So I'm in my 3rd and last undergrad year. But I won't be getting my BS until next year. So it's not exactly my last. To try and put it simply, I will be starting medical school next year while also completing my BA degree and officially graduating undergrad. This is your second year at Wesleyan right? I know a couple of people there too. Very nice school. :D

    No, because it's better. Or because they have a co-ed bathroom. :P I go to Princeton, and I would recommend it to anyone (who has the grades to get in, of course). The hotel administration majors are the worst, they do absolutely nothing all day. They sit there and tend to their little hotel crap and make sure their customers are happy. Their classes barely matter sot hey have so much free time. They should give some to me. :( To Trapical: While pre-med is definately incredibly challenging, it's not as impossible as you make it out to be. All you need to do is manage your time well and be responsible. I am sort of like you, I usually get an unhealthy amount of sleep and I am always stressed out. But that's because I procrastinate like a mother. There is no need to be studying 11 hours for a test, at least not in one night. And biology courses are usually the easiest for pre-med students. Depending on the person, either orgo or physics is the hardest. If someone's not doing too hot in biology, they should reconsider taking the pre-med route. It's so much straight memorization. What year of undergrad are you in and what medical schools are you looking at? And if you took it already, what was your MCAT grade?
  23. I have re-installed Windows Media Player twice already, and just did it again now. Nothing, Windows Media Player videos still do not seem to work on sites. Furthermore, my Windows Media Player crashes everytime I try to play a video on it. This isn't too much of a problem as I use Media Player Classic for virtually all videos, but it's something I'd like to get fixed as well. Quicktime videos have always seemed to work fine on sites though. It's the Windows Media Player ones that don't. And I'm almost certain it has to do with the fact that my WMP craches every time I try to play a cideo with it.
  24. I have never touched my security settings. As for saving them instead of watching on site, I try doing that, but my Firefox crashes too fast once the site loads. On Ebaums, they have the link to download the video right above the video, and as soon as the link and the rest of the page loads, I go to click on the link and I'm too late; the Mozilla Quality Assurance crap comes on and my Firefox crashes and closes. :?
  25. Lately, about the last two months or so, videos from sites like ebaumsworld.com and other random places have stopped working in my Firefox and IE browsers. It just happened out of nowhere too. When I click on a video to watch, the page loads and the media player screen and buttons (play, pause, etc.) comes on and then the "Mozilla Quality" report forms shows up and my Firefox crashes and I'm forced to close. If I load the page in IE, IE just crashes and the Microsoft Error Report form comes up. The videos from Google Videos seem to work just fine and so do those from http://www.prangstgrup.com Ebaumsworld videos and most other sites don't seem to work. I tried uninstalling Firefox and then installing it again, but no luck. This is getting really annoying. If anyone can help, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
