New F2P Skill
That's wrong. Jagex never said it would be minigame-like and it was originally planned to release the idea as a game code-named thirdscape (with an own team). The release date are rumours, too. Jagex only said they want to release it 2010.

It's a new strategy game which doesn't belong to FunOrb.

War of Legends - New Trailer 5/1/'10
Yeah its a strategy game rather than an rpg. There's a seperate site for Arcanists so no reason why it can't be a FunOrb game. Nobody of the FunOrb team is working on this title, so it can't be a FunOrb game. Simple! You can find it in the recent FunOrb status update: http://www.funorb.com/kbase/guid/state_of_play And a mod said so as already written in this thread. You can find the mod post here: QFC 23-24-459-60071058.

Top 250 F2P Skill Total List
As I already said he gained 10m per month for the whole year (except when he was banned). And he's mining for like 2 years. If you want a chart click here. It's a german tracking site (and the best tracking site btw) but I hope you can understand what the text means. Yeah, the curve really looks like he was botting...

Sounds awesome! Maybe more weather effects will come out of this feature in the future.

Top 250 F2P Skill Total List
My spys told me he got banned for macroing. How he got unbanned I don't know. I and others have seen him powermining in Rimmington. He got approximately 10m mining exp per month. That's like 9-10 hours per day with powermining. He was slower last year (probably when he was mining coal in the guild).

Then they would have to bring the wildy back, too... Actually they shouldn't react on every nonsense the players came up with. To the hint: I also think it's the x-mas event. Maybe they'll also release a "teaser" quest for F2P during the x-mas time as they did last year.

Actually it's quite cheap if you really want to get members. You get so much for little money (if you like quests, more skills/minigames and faster training/money making methods).

This is my version of multitasking...
Two monitors here, too. When I only had one monitor I still had enough place to have two windows side by side (or also one upon another). I found this transparent thing with another program before but I don't remember which one, maybe it even was a firefox add-on.

Kuradal - The New Slayer Master?
Year. The years over in less than a month. Exactly it's still 2009, so he could be saying no in 09 But for 2010 we might have a surprise You're living in a fantasy world lol I would eat my socks if this happens, this is either a quest or the slayer guild Also you're assuming this year means calendar year; it could very well mean 12 months from the date on interview whihc wuld take us til like nxt summer "This year" obviously means 2009 as there are no other years atm.. (except other cultures which he don't belong to)

Google translation: Maybe Sherlock Holmes could find the teaser. It could be about Sliske, whose actions can be seen in world's smallest details, or about the "assalted" peanuts of the latest Chaos Elemental suitcase. We have been promised a quest next week. Some guy on Youtube found a pipe and a magnifying glass from RS models. "Verflucht" could be a hint, it also translates to "cursed". I'm almost sure this word is the most important. But as I'm not a member I don't know where the hint points to.

He was correct with his statement. Good flippers predict the price of the item it gets to tomorrow and try to buy the item a certain ammount under that price and try to sell it the same ammount above this price or wait till the update comes. If they won't buy the item someone else will get a good deal - maybe another merchanter or some random dude who really needs the item (or wants to sell it). But the fact is there are thousands of people who are willing to sell their item at that price you want to buy it and another thousands of people who are willing to pay the price you've put your sell offer in. So without them the whole process won't work and it won't make a big difference if you aren't involved in this process. Maybe the people will smile when they get a few bucks more as they were expecting but they won't blame anyone if they won't. They also could wait to get a good deal. This typical scenario is independant on the ammount of people merchanting the item. You could also think of this: If a merchanter leaves an item the price you could buy the item may be lower and the sell price could be higher. So the profit of this item rises for the other merchanters. This could lead to someone jumping on the train because the profit seems good to him so in the end the ammount of merchanters could stabalize. Merchanters do exist in the real world, too. And they are an important part of the economy as they (should) act independantly and with their competition they form a stable price. The same is true for the rs market (if you extend the word stable a little bit) but anyone has more impact on the price. If there won't be any merchanters the price would go up and down like a yo-yo and the normal rs player who would look at the price graph would say: "Hey why I should buy it on that high price if it goes down the next day?" And he then buys it when it's lower and just became a small type of a merchanter. He might even buy more of that item when it's low and sell it then when it gets higher and become a real merchanter. So in the end I wanted to say an economy without merchanters can't really exist as there always will be some "smart" people who will try to get a better deal. PS: I hope my post is understandable as I have problems to say something related to that topic in english. :D

No, they buy as low as they can and sell as high as they can. These two values are fully dependent on the market. Solo merchanters don't tend to drive the prices up or down, they actually keep the prices stable if they also invest in items by buying them when they are low and selling them when they are high. By flipping items they also give the players a chance to either buy the item (when the flipper has an sell offer up for them) or sell it (when the flipper has an buy offer up for them). Without merchanters players could be in trouble because nobody wants to buy their items when they need them or the other way around. Merchanters were always and will ever be part of the economy and have their positives and negatives but can't be put in one category.

Yeah, it's true. She had several macro accounts working for her before the trade limit. I think it's somewhere written in this thread or at least somewhere in these forums.

Average Multiple Runes At Each Level
This might be helpful: [hide=A Slight Diversion]Principia Mathematica The mathematics of Runecrafting Introduction This guide is intended to help readers to calculate levels required to craft (multiple) runes mathematically, instead of checking guides as is usually the case. Through this, not only can the levels required be obtained more quickly, they can also be obtained when offline. It is the expressed goal of this guide to awaken Runecrafters to the fact that Runecrafting level requirements are not randomly chosen as is perhaps often thought to be the case, and in so doing discover the underlying mathematics behind it. Level to Craft 1 Rune Suppose all the runes are numbered starting from 1, in a lowest-to-highest order (do not count astrals). Thus, air runes will be 1, minds 2, waters 3, et cetera. Now, let this number be denoted by n. The level required to craft 1 rune n per essence is obtained by the following: Level to Craft Multiple Runes Follow the aforementioned n notation. The level to craft x of rune n per essence is given by C(x-1) where C is the rune coefficient of rune n. The coefficient C for rune n is calculated as follows: Thus, the level to craft x of rune n per essence is List of Levels Using the above formulae, we can compute the levels required. We obtain *Using the formula, L is undefined. As L is the lowest level rune, it requires the lowest Runecrafting level to craft, i.e. 1. **The formulae do not work for Astral runes as they were not part of the original runes. The levels for them thus cannot be mathematically derived. ***Theoretically, since levels obviously do not go beyond 99. Conclusion By assigning each rune a number n equal to the rank of its level from the bottom, we can calculate the level required to craft it and the level required to craft it a certain number of times per essence. The beauty and the importance of mathematics are thus clearly observed.[/hide] Taken from chensj2 guide to training range/melee at ape atoll: http://forum.tip.it/topic/222890-340k-ranged-xp-and-140k-melee-xphr/

Translation: Slightly better translation: The Doomsayer(Unholy Prophet  ) of RuneScape knows: "Whoever sows the wind will reap the storm(whirlwind, gale, etc.)." EDIT: Or... Maybe not, seeing as your location is actually Germany, and hence probably have a better command of both languages than I do. I just found my phrase as the english analogy, it's a reference to Hosea 8:7 "For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: [...]" and means every descision you make has consequences. And "Unheilsprophet" is the name of the Doomsayer in the german version of the game.

Top 250 F2P Skill Total List
Oh please Jake. It was 2 paragraphs aka 1 post. I have to agree with Jake here. Some people are misinterpreting this topic as a global blog thing where everbody can show his progress. And most don't really care and if they do there's a whole forum for that. I think we should keep the topic to dicussing the Top 250 list which e.g. means who could be added or who should be deleted due to membership or speculations on the requirements for the next update and things like that.

Human Progress
Most of the good items in WoW aren't buyable. Money isn't so important in WoW as it is in RS. And I think RuneScape was much worse before the trade update, all the botters were so annoying. Yeah, I'm a skiller and I know the anti-RWT mostly affected the pvp-community but it was just necessary. If they wouldn't have done something against RWT I think we would be in much more trouble now. Blizzard milk their games. For WoW you've to pay for the basic game, all the addons and a monthly fee. For Starcraft 2 they will charge a full-game price for each of the 3 episodes. And they cut LAN play in Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 to get more money from people who would pirate the game. Yeah, Blizzard doesn't aim for the money only...
