I understand exactly what you mean. But the thing is if I get the quest cape too quickly, I won't have anything to do when I wanna take a break from what I usually do. Doing a quest is usually how I take a break from that. Oh and don't worry I'm sure that after I'm done with all the monsters I'm killing my fletching, crafting and even smithing level will be over 80 for sure. It probably won't be until this Christmas, but I'm a patient man.

It's not true that I "don't play the game at all", in fact I play it every day. However, I mostly do the same things over and over again, and yeah, I don't pay attention to the new content that much, I am willing to admit that. I'm not gonna do my best to train all the levels as high as possible, I wanna take my time with them. As for getting a quest cape, not happening any time soon because like I said I like to take my time. But yeah you are overall absolutely right. I can't make a good suggestion if I don't do research or do any new content. I will keep that in mind if I make another suggestion after three months are up, which I probably won't. The only thing in this post I don't agree with at all is the final line. No, I can talk about these if I want. I know most of you are trying to force down my throat that I'm not allowed to like them. But guess what? They are my favorite types of weapons of the game. And it doesn't matter what the situtation is, forcing an opinion down people's throats is NEVER ok. Of course I am open to other types of weapons and am willing to give them a chance. But saying that I'm wrong for liking what I wanna like only proves that you guys want everybody in the game to like the same thing, and if they don't there is something wrong with them. That's the kind of mindset I hate.

Recently I replied to the old awful suggestions I made back in 2005. I did it because I had to acknowledge how bad they were, it was long overdue. In fact I didn't think about these bad suggestions until just now. I have said that I was gonna take a three month break from the suggestions/rants forum. But keep in mind that only means break from making threads. I will still give my own thoughts on threads other users make. Anyway, I already know what not to do when making suggestions. That's not what this thread is about. What I don't know is what I SHOULD do when making suggestions/rants. I know thinking it through and thinking if it's a good idea or not before making the thread is a start. But any other tips you guys can give me? I know that no matter how hard I try there will always be someone who doesn't like what I say, which I'm totally fine with. I just want my suggestions/rants to be somewhat good if you know what I mean.

Yeah but what is the Mysterious Old Man doing when he's NOT talking to players? That's something that's not explained in the game or the wiki for that matter. He is living a quiet life in reminiscing about his golden years with all the artefacts of his events he saved hoping for someone to come by and ask him about stuff. "He wants to live peacefully"? I'm sorry but I don't buy that. Why would a guy who spent most of his time being a creepy stalker all of a sudden want to live a peaceful life? It's not like he stopped because he learned his lesson the only reason he stopped is because random events have become illegal in Gielnor. I'm 92% sure he's just bored all day since there are no computers or TV in Gielnor.

But the problem is if you visit the myseterious old man, he only gives history on how the random events were, he doesn't really say what he's up to now.

Well, MOM can be found in-game, but I want to make a theory on what he and others are up to now that random events are no longer around. I'd imagine that the Mysterious Old Man is bored out of his mind since he can't really do anything with other players anymore. He's probably sitting at a bar drinking alcohol all day, and who can really blame him? I'm not asking for facts, I'm asking for theories on what the random events could be up to now. Since really that would make for more fun discussions.

I'm so sorry, with YouTube videos and websites, using a proxy works perfectly well. Not sure if it works with RuneScape though, or even if it's allowed.

Maybe the reason it works for me is because I'm using the client, and not the actual webpage.

Well I can't kill them yet since my slayer level is not high enough. Besides, if you wanna get everything needed for free, you would have to smith adamant bolts, kill a bunch of chickens and all that. So yeah, it's not worth it in the end. You get money much quicker by making and selling steel bars, and these are ridiculously easy to make.

But these are still not that common. No matter what you do, it will take a long period of time to get 15 uncut rubies.

I see what you mean, at the top of that gathering the items yourself isn't easy either. There is no place you can get an uncut ruby 100% of the times. At the top of that, if you don't have the smithing/fletching level needed, you would need to kill iron dragons to get the adamant bolts, and they don't even drop it 100% of the times. But when they do drop it, it's usually less than 10, so it's not worth it.

True, but the RS wiki doesn't exactly say if it's used widely or not, so I wouldn't have known if I didn't make this thread.

But these don't even require blood runes anymore.

I know I could easily use RS Wiki to see all the spells, but I actually have a question that I need another human being to answer, and no amount of research will give me exact answer. I'm not asking if spells in the main spell book requiring blood runes still exist, I'm asking if useful spells people use on a regular basis exist. So yeah, do they exist? They don't need to just be useful, they need to be something not just a few but a lot of players use on frequent basis. Thank you. And I'm aware that many spells like that exist in the ancient magics book, but I'm only talking about the main spell book, since that's the one I use.

Because that requires a couple of clicks. (or dragging, still takes about the same amount of time.) If we had that option you'd only have to right click and then left click.

This is an awful idea. It doesn't matter if it's "more realistic". Gielnor is a fantasy world, therefore it should remain like that. This would make it far too easy for people who don't care about the fish themselves and only do this as an exp. Can you imagine how quickly most people would be at level 99 if they had that option? Protean items already devalued a lot of skills by making leveling up too easy. But at least you can only get it once a day at most, and considering they just come once every 15 key or so, you won't get it easily unless you paid a bunch of real live money which most aren't able to afford. Being able to do this over eight hours a day would really make it too easy and in return make it boring.

When I fight steel dragons, almost everyone who uses melee has bandos armor. I might be making a big deal out nothing, I probably am, but I just can't comprehend the ugliness of bandos, or any melee armor for that matter above dragon. But I shouldn't complain about it though, I should be thankful that overrides give me the option to wear dragon armor and still have the stats of a better armor, and I am. I guess I was too stubborn to forget to be thankful for that. But alright, I am willing to admit. When I'm in Ardougne high alchemying the drops from steel dragons or stuff like that, people do wear variety of different armor. So saying that everybody I see wears the same was a huge exaggeration.

Of course I know that, that's why I use overrides. More people should do that as well. What's so fun about seeing trillion of players in the same darn armor?
