I did make a thread about dragon warhammer at one point, and most people said that they wouldn't care since dragon weapons have become irrelevant. Which even to this day I don't agree with.
When it comes to something like preference, there is no such thing as irrelevant.
Anyway, two years later, a dragon warhammer was finally released, which requires a quest which requires very high smithing level. Not a big deal, I only collected it to collect it. Outside a dragon battleaxe (which is now only used as cosmetic override) dragon hatchet and dragon pickaxe (both which are now in my toolbelt) I never use dragon weapons anymore. I only collect them for the sake of collecting.
Anyway, to me dragon weapons are the most cool looking weapons in the game.
Now the only melee weapon from the basic smithing tables that doesn't have a dragon version yet is shortsword. But if it was made would anyone honestly care?
I doubt it, I don't even think I, a guy who's a big fan of dragon weapons, would even remotely care about that.
The reason for that is because nobody uses shortswords. Out of all the weapons, shortswords are the ones least people care about.
Even back in the day long before weapons better than dragon existed, nobody cared for shortswords. I don't even think f2p users would ever consider even using a rune shortsword. And now that all the weapons of the same type have become the same damn weapon because of the evolution of combat update, there is even less of a reason to care.
I will buy one if it was released to have my melee dragon collection complete. But outside that I don't think anybody would honestly care.
So if it was made, (which I doubt since it's the least popular weapon) it shouldn't have a difficult quest requirement.
