I'll tell you my whole set-up... haha I drink once before maging Dharok, then I start fighting Karil (I usually mage him. 99 magic & fire surge typically does better than my melee) and once I hit 0 prayer I drink another dose. I then have about 12-13 pts left over for Ahrim which I use Eagle Eye to speed up the kill. Then I use the SoL special before fighting Guthan and I can usually kill him and most of Torag before the -50% melee damage effects wear off. Then it's just about tanking Verac. In my invent: black dhide top/bottom, rune crossbow, whip, spade, 4 prayer pots, runes, 2-3 monks, 9-10 baskets of strawberries, house tabs, and an empty slot. Equipped: Torag helm/body/legs, firecape, SoL, fury, drag boots, zammy book, seer's ring I'm sure people could make it better, but it's worked for the past 1m magic experience I've got there. :P

I do mine quite a bit differently. Same order for the brothers, but I like playing with Fire Surge (Sally works almost as good too. I just like the speed & exp). I wear Torags, have a crossbow, bdhide top/bottom & broad bolts in invent. Whip as well. You have no trouble until Ahrim it seems. Maybe take some magic defense in there when you go? I never use more than 2 doses of ppot per run unless I get Karil in the tunnel.

Just received a starved ancient effigy from a level 41 Abyssal Leech whilst killing them for charms & pouches. 100% sure it was a leech and it's not a drop currently listed in the bestiary.

Cannoning while ranging demons is alright. I'm getting ~90k range exp/h, 13k prayer exp/h (urns), and an effigy every approx. 2.5 hours. Plus, roughly 90 crims/h. Been using void and 2k cannonballs per 250 kills as well. So it costs a little, but I've been using the effigies on prayer so 25k prayer exp/h while getting 90k range exp/h seems rational. Thought someone else might find it something to try. As for afkable, I've been watching How I Met Your Mother today and don't think I've missed a joke yet...

I had a quickly improvised set-up of torags, whip, granite shield. Invent was 8 sara brews, 4 super restores, and an invent & war tort (in your case, spirit bird) full of rocktails. All that can be played with of course. Best advice I got was to not kill the ravagers or w/e the summoned pests to kill the rangers were. Just get them to attack you and then get them trapped on the other side of the queen. Easy sailing from there if you get the specs right.

I think it' perfect. Nex's invulnerability and unfamiliarity to 99.99% of the RS population gives absolutely everyone something to work towards. I'm sure within time people will be able to solve the Nex puzzle in a fairly efficient matter, but until then... I need to train so as to take advantage of peoples hard work ;)

Lol, honorable isn't what you'll find. However, regarding the luring... from what I understand Jagex put in the ditch as a reminder. There used to be a big time lure where they'd bring someone to trade to the edge of the wild, trade them then run in, dragging the player into the wild. That was deemed "illegal" (and directly prompted the addition of the wall), but tempting people with piles of cash or items in wildy territory is tolerable... neat huh?

They're decent. I'd advise tanking with b2p if you're able to do it easily enough. Adamant bars have fallen from 3k to just under 2.5k. I was managing maybe 400-500k/h when I was 88 range & 88 defence, but wasn't necessarily paying too much attention. If you're looking for an alternative, I can't stress barrows enough. Your mage is a little low, but shouldn't be too hard to get to ~70 and you'll be able to do fine.

Why do people think they're being so hard done by? I have very little to no problem with how Runescape is being run at the moment. I think people are trying too hard to hold on to the supposed "good ol'days". Let it go, things change. People weren't happy with things back then just as people aren't happy about things now. On topic... I can't see how this is a bad thing. More money will allow Jagex to do sooo much more. Ps: $32.9 Billion?? That's not right...

I think you deserve a proper answer, so I'll try. I believe things might be bought and sold for a while like they were pre-GE... I've had no trouble just going to the RSO forums and looking for people buying/selling there if you're in a pinch for items. From what I've understood from talking to my friends and in some CC's, people are a little apprehensive to sell in the GE because of the same uncertainty you're experiencing. People aren't sure what the "proper" price is on items because of the restrictions being removed. I'd guess a couple weeks and people will begin to feel more comfortable about selling on the GE again.

On top of what everyone else is saying, higher slayer opens up more opportunities for money. Ex. 85 for whips, 83 for dragon boots etc. I'd imagine the time I'm putting in to getting 85 slayer to allow myself to camp Abby demons is much better spent than the time I'd spend camping some other monotonous creature for meager drops.

I would personally either: go for herblore now, seeing as it's relatively cheap, or hold off on the decision until after the proposed prayer/demon ash update. I'd expect the cost of prayer to fall a bit with the introduction of more ways to get experience.

If runescape was going to die, 2007 would've been the one to do it. I and a huge number of others quit when the GE was released and the wildy was stolen from us. I admit, I was close to quitting when the botters started running as rampant as they were, but the updates to quell their surge was what made me decide to part ways. Now that they've rectified those changes and claim to have better anti-botting technologies, it has done nothing but give Runescape a new (ironic. seeing as how they're simply reverting back to the good ol'days) breathe of life. In essence, if Runescape was going to die, it would've between 2007 and yesterday.

Count me in the "10%" then. Jagex won't let Runescape die so easily and purposefully. It's been such a huge success that to abruptly pull the plug is a foolish thing to even think of. What's your basis for saying that they will in effect, discontinue Runescape? I've seen nothing to suggest that...

Didn't Jagex state that drops such as the vls will still be available?

Originally, Jimmyd17 was created way back in '01. Name, initial, and the number I used for hockey/soccer etc. Once I found out name changes were available I started looking for something that was marine related. My whole life revolves around the ocean to be honest... Going to uni for marine biology. I work in the summer on boats and docks. I volunteer with the local coast guard (which I'm looking to go to their college after I graduate). Decided on Slack Tide. It's the transition period of the tidal cycle when waters reverse and is in a relatively calm state. Calm is good. People could use more calm...

I do 6 as well. It opens up the possibility for bolt racks and it's quick enough to get so you're not wasting time (considering if you kill a monster a door you've pretty much got it anyways).

Just wanted to weigh in on the Burrows comments... The Bouchard one was dirty. The Staal one wasn't. Battling in front of the net, sticks going everywhere, things happen. I've been a defenceman for years and know that stuff like that happens in front of the net. That's got to be where 90% of highstickings occur. Are those all done with the intent to injure as well? I can't even count the number of times I've been whacked with a stick while battling. Basing an accusation such as "dirtiest player in the league" on two incidents (one of which is in the riskiest place on the ice, during a stick battle) is a little absurd. Especially with the people playing in the league right now. Avery (c'mon... there's a fine line between agitating and... whatever you want to call Avery), Cooke (headshot extraordinaire), KALETA (everything this [puncture] does), Downie, and even Ovechkin (knee-on-knees (Gleason & Gonchar) and numerous boardings). Those are just some people I can pick off the top of my head. All this brought to you by a Canucks fan... a little biased I know, but the point still stands haha. On another note, the All Star game. I'm personally hoping to see Ovie & Crosby play together and the Sedins playing against each other for the first time in their lives.

I was considering maging Rex, but always thought it to be a pain to get there by myself. Plus, the couple times I actually did go (a couple years ago) I got crashed within a half hour. My immediate goals are almost strictly confined to herblore, prayer, and summoning (hence the need for cash). Think I'll continue to range slay for a while and figure out rex or something in the meantime...
