  1. Well buying your way up is definatly the fastest but i kinda like going to druids and slayeing em they drop just about anything, the best way to train it without a money loss though is probably invest some cash into lvl 38 herblore than make some prayer pots and keep em for later use or sell
  2. cakes or farm stalls, both are good depending on what you need more, food or seeds
  3. trick of the trade, 1st get 55 mage, with 70 fletching you can buy the logs make yew longs and high alch for 700+ each, start by investing some cash in runes to get 55 mage, than sell some stuff to buy nats, pick your own flax (or buy) than there it is 1k yew longs high-alched equalls 700k+ in about a day (if you can afford to buy everything) or like week doing everything yourself if you find it hard to spend time doing this... nevermind...
  4. fine, not 10, 5 fact is, gaining the levels wont make much a difference cb wise yet will help enough to make it worth it defense wise, I am merely suggesting, raise your def to a level where it acctually is usefull (without causing many cb lvls)
  5. flesh crawlers are a good choice for a pker
  6. raise it to 10 keep it at that, had a friend with similar stats, (def went up a lil on accident from mage training) so he went up to 10 def, according to him it was a smart move.
  7. I'm not kidding when I say this, I think it was no glitch, but a conspiracy from jagex to get some cash outta some rich peoples hands after all the date 6/6/06 lol
  8. after ya get the 80 sands from the quest (daily) I advise going to karamja
  9. help prevent scamming
  10. you get a seizure from playing too much computer smash your head into the screen and survive, than the ambulence comes to pick you up and it gets into a crash with an gas truck which explodes and bursts into flames
  11. I'm on his side, option 1 is better for defense bonus #2 for cost take your pick
  12. If you really want to try this, get yourself a merchant to unload your amulets in bulk to.
  13. I am actually pretty sure that Cursed You used TIF. oh, and there is an interview with Durial somewhere on this site, but I'm not sure where.
  14. well the zammy skirt thing, is basicly whats called merchanting, earn some cash however you plan to (previous posts) than once you have at least 500k, play runescape as if it were the stock market, buy items low, sell high, use the forums to check for values, also about the zammy skirt, the way I see it, god armour and such are like the sad American economy, dropping in price every day, therefore be careful on how many you try to merchant at once, on day there worth 300k the next 250, you'll never be able to be exact with the market (srry bout the length of my post lol, hope it helps)
  15. i don't know what girsa you've been learning... The two easiest skills are fletching and cooking (hence the existence of people withh 200mil xp in said stats). Fletching gets you a lot of money, and cooking does too after 96, when you can buy raw sharks at 1k ea and sell cooked ones at 2k ea.
  16. I personally think you should do logs until you can make the most basic sink (7, i believe). After that, mine clay and make fireplaces and ponds and whatnot; clay is the way to go (if you want to do it for next to nothing). Clay as a material gives 10 exp each, and is relatively close to the Rimmington house. It would be like 10k clay 'til 50. So, you would spend 6k on the house itself while training(1k for house, 5k for kitchen). The rest is easy enough to get (5 crude chairs, 4 bookcases[26 logs, a good load more nails], one pump and drain[5 steel bars]). How you would go about doing it:On your first trip to your house, bring a saw, hammer, 22 planks and 100 nails. Make the chairs and whatnot; then go back and bank, removing the other 4 planks and the 5 steel bars and 5k and a bowl. Go back to the house, build a bookcase(or two chairs), buy a kitchen and make the pump and drain. Then, step out in the sunlight and enjoy the clay mining, you're going to do a lot of it.
  17. I believe the street price for willow comps is 150k (that's what I saw on official forums, don't mess). I saw a guy selling one for 30k the other day, though. So, a final price would be 100-150k.
  18. there were never any minimap symbols for beds in RS1... I remember. they added random events, which are a lot less aggravating since you don't have to run to a bed/bring a sleeping bag. And it was even worse before sleeping bags (i assume, i didn't play THAT far back). And as for the original question: have you been down there recently? An in game analysis of the objects would certainly provide us with an enlightenment on what these symbols may be.
  19. now that's mean... In regards to the original question, however: don't quit! why give up? Raise some stats! If you needed to borrow 2mil, obviously you had SOME stat that could have use towards making money. What you could also do is borrow a little money and merchant new items (be careful there though). Or, as people have said before, mine essence until 30, and then continue mining pure essence. good luck with whatever path you choose (unless you quit, in which case, good riddance).
  20. completely correct, jagex can scan your comp for macroes; if none are on your computer, you're safe.
  21. That doesn't work, Elvarg has a ranged magic attack, so you need to be wearing an antifire shield. think he means like with knives or darts which are 1 handed Don't exist in f2p :P :-k thats wierd i dont remember him ever saying he was f2p what a coincidence, he never said he was p2p either.. aside from that, i believe you should go with the addy; he doesn't hit too hard with melee. Just remember to wear that d-breath shield. oh, and crossbows are one-handed f2p ranged weapons, so knife my foot.
  22. those would be the 'summoning rocks', the biggest proof to summoning currently in-game. The symbols on the rocks are supposedly the symbols for summoning runes.
  23. Like? All materials have had stable prices for over 3 years, unless there was some game update that influenced their prices. All pseudo-rare items like whips have only and will only go down. umm.. no, ess prices have gone up, with no influence in updates... I was just in World 1 varrock, and essence was going for 30-38 gp apiece. And even on the forums, the lowest price is now 25gp; as opposed to the 15-25gp they were during the summer. And, since ess prices went up, rune prices went up too: airs at 20ea, fires 20ea, to name a few. Not only that, but bowstrings and yews have gone up. The statement you made, duke, is too general, because things like the forementioned yews are in such high demand that the sellers hitched up their prices. I'm assuming that ess and runes went up because there are fewer people with a lot of time to runecraft at this time of year, due to school and everything. Less supply= higher prices, right?
  24. I didnt say it was bad I'm just saying a general rule...
  25. remmeber practice makes perfect, also its advised not to post your first peice of work unless it happens to be really good...
