300 wide is so people can view the forums alongside something (such as RS) without having to scroll sideways. 150 high is so people don't have to scroll down too much. 30,000 bytes is to make the boards suitible for dialup users. Personally, I think these limits should remain. Although screens are generally wider nowadays than they were 2-3 years ago when the rules were made, the Runescape window is also bigger. While I agree it does reduce what we can do in terms of animation, signatures are meant to identify us to other users, not show our ability at making movies. Most of the time people just flash their eyes over it to identify the user, and in any case, they only need to actually watch the animation a few times. We have the media board to show off our movie directing skills :) Even though I have adsl, at recent visits to other rs forums to check out what's goin' down, I found the amount of rubbish filling up the page to be appalling. People with 2 or more huge images and 6-10 lines of text. It's just ugly and unnecessary :-? ~Cameron
