Most Beneficial Quests
I've recently returned from a series of very long breaks. In addition to this, i really hate quests...a lot. This being said, the next few days are going to be devoted to finishing some of the more beneficial quests as far as rewards and unlocked areas. For this reason, I was wondering which quests these might be. I appreciate your responses! EDIT: Should have mentioned i did most quests released before legends, and then stopped right after legends cause i hate quests haha. But i have like 153 qp, and the only recent (within a year and a half at least) quest i've done is smoking kills.

G.E should the caps be changed?
So what you're saying is: Jagex screwed everything up by adding the GE, just as they've been messing everything up by changing it for years... and you want them to change it, because you think they have the capacity to make it better? Good Luck. There are a lot of really smart people with really smart economical ideas on this forum. A lot of the ideas I've read seem to combat the idea of merchant clans really well. But what I don't think anyone realizes is that we have no more freedom to give after this. Some people are taking this way too seriously. We've already given up so much just to get rid of RWT, and that's great. But now we have all these limitations that we have to deal with. The current GE offers convenience in exchange for free trade. The fact is, we have to live (and have lived) with some of these problems. There was always price manipulation, the GE just makes it easier to do on large scale. And here is another question for everyone: Why do i have to be told how many sets of Barrows Armour I can have? And if there's a limit of 10, and I have 10, does that mean i can't receive any more doing barrows?

How do *YOU* make money?
What are the chances i can get you to explain this?? The great orb project has been nothing but endless trouble for me, and thats just collecting the tokens for nature tabs... but you make money? :wall: I'd love to show you sometimes ;) If it is that buy pure essence thing mentioned after your post...does that work out to be that much profit? If so, that's brilliant! =D>

While i love the detail in HD, I can't stand the lag. I prefer the fast paced, non-lag of low detail.

Bolts: Broad-Tipped, Addy, Runite
So it would seem that addy bolt are just not that good altogether... It doesn't make sense that broad tips are so much cheaper, as they should be in such high demand. I guess the supply for addy is just that low...

18 August 2008 - Price Change - Starting Today
There is plenty of discussion value here... I think its sort of bs how if i take a break for a month or two after today, i have to start paying an extra dollar/month even though i've been fairly loyal to the game for years...

Lady Shahdie's Journey to 99 Smithing - MOVED TO THE BLOG TAB!
I love this blog. Mining has always been my favorite skill, ever since i've discovered it some...maybe six years ago. Having just returned from a year+ break from the game, I find myself unable to pursue the skill at this time, with all these new updates! Anyway, I'm really glad there is someone out there with proper respect for the skill. I wish you the best of luck, and will continue to check this blog often. 99 Mining ftw!

Rememeber When?
remember the maple tree glitch? remember when they brought in fatigue and you could get an inventory of coal from one rock in about 2 minutes? remember when you thought the houses west of falador were gonna be player owned houses, and store all your items like unlimited banks? remember when you walked to the wild to collect planks for carpentry, which you were sure was only a month or so away? remember when mithril armour was impressive? remember when players could attack you anywhere? remember when you thought you could make a lot of money by filling the crate on karamja a bunch of times? remember when the minimap was square? remember when you could carry 30 non-weildable items? (don't get mad its still a better deal now with teh equipment screen) remember when you looked really good in orange pants and a bright, green beard? remember when pickaxes where not made of the metals we mine... they were just pickaxes? remember when you started the game in lumby, not tutorial island? remember when the best place to pk was north of varrock? remember when you died north of varrock cause you couldnt leave the battle until they hit you three times? and they 3 hit you? remember when you passed a mining area, and asked people what those bubbles were over their heads that looked like pickaxes? remember lobster fishing on karamja, and walking all the way back to falador to bank? remember when chains looked cooler then plates? im sure there are many more, but my comp crashed 2 years ago, i have no more pics to bring memories back

Wow. (RS Economy)
oh no, you see, merchanting did exist in the classic version, it was just confined to the boundaries of world 1 and none other. Today, i assume one could probably make more sitting in a random bank on a random members world then worlds 1 or 2 at most times of the day. (i speak of crowded banks, not like yanille or al karid) There has never been a lack of kids claiming to be my age on runescape (i started at 13, now 17) and kids any younger then 12 tend to not see the value of money, so i don't quite agree there. a good reason for the complex economy in runescape is the amount of players. Not to many other online games have comparable numbers of players, and therefore not as much money is in the system. I don't think anyone could accuratly guess the ammount of gold in the game, making it near impossible to set any level of control in the economy. A fake dupe would only result in a temporary price catastrophy, enabling younger players to get hundreds of millions of gold in the time it would take me to get from 84 to 90 attack. the prices would restore as soon as everyone realized that rares were not so abundant... -steve

How much gold would you pay
That wasn't the question...anyone with 1100 skill can be called no-lifer 3 times a day

Wow. (RS Economy)
You have it right here... also, more toward the problem of merchanting, is the problem of the fact that its the level 3s that play for only a few months anyway. I haven't met anyone who started in the past 12 months (that doesn't mean there aren't decent people who've started in the last 12 months, only that i have not met them, so they are rare) that i ended up liking, or remotly tolerating further then a trade. So many of the newer players don't have the same respect for the game, not so much the economy. I've met many jerks this year, and it's usually those who spend 3 months to get their total skill double mine, or those who spend 3 months tripling my banks worth. The you turn around to be told you have no life by them. I think your topic here is 100% correct, but all that information doesn't do much to support your title. You can say merchanting ruined the game, but merchanting is a part of life. Do you think merchanting in RL is ruining the world? No, obviously theres a whole topic i could raise about what is ruining the world, i would rather not do so. That's all i got for this one -steve

the effects of new spells on cwars???
Its not a spam post. Yes, healing was already possible, but not via this method. Id say the effect will depend on the cost of the new rune. If its cheap like a body rune (which i highly doubt), it will be used for fast, cheap experience, and will effect cw's. However, if it is like a death or blood rune, people wont waste it at castlewars, and people will stick to bandages. Dan. Hi btw :D dudeguy is right, the spell isn't gonna be any easier as far as the runes go, they're craftable so they'll be more plentiful then bloods...we'll see i guess
