What prompted the change? It's been coming for a while. Garchomp @ Yache Berry Jolly, 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 6 HP Swords Dance Outrage Earthquake Fire Fang / Fire Blast This was the deadliest Pokemon in Standard. Basically, you find an opportunity to switch in (which isn't hard... considering it absorbs T-Wave). Later in the game, you've already seen most of the rest of their team. Assuming you switched it in at the right time, whatever they used really couldn't touch you so they have to switch. Now, Fast Pokemon with Ice Move was switched in. Garchomp used SD. Fast Pokemon uses Ice move. Garchomp lives thanks to Yache Berry, +2 Outrage / Earthquake / Fire Fang depending on what they brought in against you. Bulky Pokemon with Ice Move was switched in. Garchomp used SD. Garchomp used Outrage / Earthquake / Fire Fang depending on which Pokemon. Garchomp takes and lives an Ice attack thanks to Yache berry. Garchomp kills it. Garchomp pretty much always yielded at least 1 - 2 kills unless their whole team was bent on killing Garchomp. If that was the case, the rest of your team would pretty much sweep the floor with them. To make matters worse, if either player sends out a Tyranitar, Garchomp's ability gives him 20% evade, so even if you get a chance to kill him, you might miss. With Sandstorm everywhere, Stealth Rock making Ice Types unviable, it was pretty inevitable that they would move Garchomp to Uber. I find it REALLY funny though, that the day they move Garchomp to uber, Platinum gives Gyarados and Salamence both Outrage. #-o

And in other news, Garchomp has been promoted. He is now officially a uber, and not allowed in standard battles. So I get to rebuild my team. :wall:

I say otherwise. Nothing beats competitive challenge like Starcraft. +1. Starcraft has literally become a national sport in some places.

KC's not that lucky. I'm here, and KC, I have time to play you tomorrow. PM me what times you're available please. At least I think I'm playing KC, according to the Bracket.

Lol I'm not playing online atm. And I've only done IDC successfully (long term) once. I was really goofing around since I remember our first match was pretty one sided, so I didn't think anything that bad would happen if I failed lol. I'm 100% sure I won't be able to do a Pika QAC Lock online though. I've never gotten more than 3 hits with it in training mode even. XD

BTW, the reason I tried MK was to try to IDC abuse. Basically, if I had even a one life lead on you, I could go into dimensional cape (down B). Then if I kept extending it, I could stall the remaining 6+ minutes without you hurting me, and win when time runs out. Unfortunately, I didn't count on accidentally going into a suicide attack right away. XD

3-1 GG. I swear, if I hadn't suicided the first round... lol.

Play me now? I'm going on but I'll need to look through the rules first to make sure I didn't miss anything. XD

Wow... you guys are kind of behind on the brawl MG and rules. You guys didn't ban IDC? Gotta learn how to use that... and fast. Lol.

There goes half my future strategy. I guess I'll have to stick with Rest+Snore/Sleep Talk combos. There best not be any limitations to use of Rest. There aren't. If you do make a team, fight me some time... I'd love to get more testing for my team. :D

Pokemon Thread
Hey guys. I don't visit these forums too often anymore, seeing as I'm taking a break from RS. I actually have a new team on Pokemon Diamond though, and if you want to battle me sometime, drop me a PM. I still check occasionally. By the way, I play by Standard Rules... No Ubers Sleep Clause (You can not use a sleep inducing move if you've already put a Pokemon to sleep. Rest does not count.) Species Clause (You can't use two Pokemon with the same Pokedex #) Evasion / OHKO Clause (You can not use Minimize, Double Team, Sheer Cold, Fissure, Horn Drill, or Guillotine)

General Graador - Maybe a Half Ogre and Goblin?
General Graardor does not count as a goblin. His three sergeants do, but he does not. >.< My friend was doing his goblin tasks at Bandos W6, killing the sergeants, while he was going 85. General Graardor doesn't count for any slayer tasks. Although I did convince a couple friends that he counts as a hobgoblin. One of them spent a week trying to get a hob goblin mission for W6 Bandos... XD

I've got a job interview today but I'll be able to play you sometime after I get back.

Can I sign up for this tournament? Hmm... might have to hide my signature or something, it shows the character I use most. >.< I don't have my FC but it might still be on the other topic somewhere. If not I'll look it up when I get home.

100 whip drops ^_^
8/10. Wish I had the patience for that many, I stopped after 20 or so. Although I know another TIFer who got 84 whip drops before he got 85 slayer, I wonder how many he has up to date.

Monday Poll: TET Monster-Hunting!
[hide=Long Quote] My general thoughts so far on this poll are as follows: I love the enthusiasm from the majority of the people posting, but posts such as above are NOT the reason why we would do a monster hunting event. We would not be in it for profit, we are always just in it for the fun. We won't restrict anyone from coming to our events, unless of course it's a p2p event and you're f2p, then we can't do anything about that. Whereas drops are nice, yes, they are not the important part of any potential monster hunting event. The important aspect of the event is to, and has always been, to have fun. We don't mind if you complain, but i'm sure that the other team members and i would rather you didn't try to drag the event down with your complaints, rather you can pm any of us with suggestions how to make the event better after, or even during the event itself. TET stands for Tipit Events Team. We schedule weekly events at times friendly to almost everyone in the world. We also have a TETau branch, which does events geared towards a smaller audience and is more friendly time wise to the aussies. [/hide] I think you're missing the point too slightly. If you're looking for something "just for fun", most people would not see monster hunting that way. Personally, I find more fun when my trips are at the peak of efficiency, or when we found a new technique that proves ridiculously effective. Most of those that I know find it fun because of the potential riches. There are plenty of people who say they do it just for fun, but they don't. The simple test is, would they still do it if they got none of the drops? Most of them would say no. Honestly, you should reword the poll, make it a hypothetical question wondering if they'd still want to be present if there were NO drops. I doubt many people would prefer going monster hunting over the other fun events you have hosted in the past if you didn't factor drops. There are also problems that arise from going to these places with a whole group of newbs, AKA, people who are saying "Sounds great, I've never been there before, now's a good time to learn." There seem to be plenty of those. However, it is my experience that either new people will bring low amounts of stuff, thus not really helping at all, or bring plenty of expensive gear, die, and completely freak out. Both of these can get annoying. Regarding worlds, Bandos is about as crowded as it possibly could be, and probably your first choice for a GWD event. It would be near impossible for you to start on schedule without crashing a world, and I guarantee you at least one of the people present will request to crash a world just to save time. I have been on mass GWD events before, the last one having ~15 people at the start. However, every one of them was a competent, experienced monster hunter and contributed to the kills. I can't even imagine the room having two to three times that many, with over half being people there for the first time, or with sub par equipment and skills. I voted that I wouldn't attend because of this. I don't feel comfortable being there with that many people who seem to be there for no reason asides from a share of the money. I don't mind splitting them a share since at most bosses you'd go for, the splits are already quite small, but I don't like the fact that the event is basically "Hey if you can survive in the room with 3 items, come get some free money." That, and the actual entertainment of the event has been turned down for me just by bringing so many weaker or inexperienced players.

Charging for item lending moral?
In either case you are able to report. Since you are ignoring potential punishment, I guess playing Runescape should be against the rules, since it's impossible to 100% prevent bug abuse...

FFXIII coming to Xbox 360
Kingdom Hearts and The World Ends with You say hi. Two games made by Square Enix that could easily have been named "Final Fantasy" as well, and sold very well despite not carrying over the title... people do NOT just buy Final Fantasy games because of the name, they buy them because the games are fun, which is the same reason almost all of SE's games have sold well.
