  1. People pay 4,000 to 6,000 each for crimson charms AND put effort into bursting. Admittedly they get some XP out of it but many of these people have 99 already. I'd estimate charm prices at: Gold - 500 to 1,000 (Several decent familiars, acceptable experience) Green - 250 to 500 (Many good familiars, but horrible experience, you don't need that many for the wanted familiars) Crimson - 3,000 to 10,000 (Mediocre familiars but VERY good and fast experience.) Blue - 5,000 to 10,000 (Best Familiars, can be obtained regularly)
  2. I'm pretty sure I've been hit for a 78 by a cow. Sorry no pic.
  3. You know, come to think of it, I actually don't recall ever being hit by Rex for over 25. I always assumed his max hit is ~30, and he doesn't hit me very often so I don't know for sure, but I never remember being hit for over 25. I talked to a few others, and Short only remembers seeing a 21.
  4. that could be true, because i don't beleive that the world on FFVII had a name... but, if you look ath the maps, you realise that it wouldnt be possible. then again, FFX does have a similar ( but less powerful and masamune lacking) sephiroth, Seymour but he fails :Þ and another thing, where would materia fit into FFX if it took place before FFVII? It just dont work...althouth one link i can make between the two are the summons...Ifrit, Shiva and Bahamut... which i think (except X-2( havent played it -.-)) appear in all the final fantasy games to my knowledge, but as for 12, the names of the summons are used for airships... In Ivalice (The world for FF XII), Espers exist with the names Bahamut, Shiva, Leviathan, and yet there are ships sharing those names as well. Just because an airship or other object uses the name doesn't mean the summon doesn't exist. Also, FFX and FFVII, if they do occur in the same world, take place in completely different time periods. It makes sense that the people and technology are different. And don't the Materia also resemble the spheres from FFX? I know the spheres were all blue, but other than that, the two were fairly similar. Maps can also change greatly between the time periods, or maybe it was in a different portion of the world. Ever play Golden Sun? They showed two maps, one of their world several centuries ago, and one of the current world, and they were completely different. There's no reason a world can't change shape over a long period of time, especially in a fantasy environment.
  5. [/hide]If you ever looked at them, the FF games do follow each other cronologicly (as in what technologies that have, thought FFX reset the timeline, the one thing that has always stood out was the airship and cid to go with it.) Also I don't get how people connect FFVII to FFX. One final thing Crisis core is a prequel to FFVII taking place 7 years before the events in FFVII. Are you sure about the games following each other chronologically? Off-hand the only real improvement in technology ever was IX with its gunblades. If you played X-2, you should know of Shinra, who works with Yuna and the Gullwings. Later in the game there's a cut scene where he explains his discovery of a power source in the planet. He explains his dream to tap into it and use its power to better the world. The Shinra power company in VII created its Mako Reactor by tapping into the life stream. That implies that the events of VII took place in Spira, many years after the events of X, probably propagated by Shinra's descendants. OR it could mean that Shinra was brought to another world to create the Mako Reactor, there is one cut scene that is only in the Japanese international version which I don't understand at all...
  6. For all of you bashing Final Fantasy, realize that it would be PERFECTLY acceptable to call Final Fantasy XII or X completely different names. Final Fantasy games have almost nothing in between them. In terms of functionality, it's more like a brand than a series. They don't have the same characters. They don't have the same story or follow the same story sequence. Most of them aren't even in the same world... X-2 is a sequel to X in a way Halo 3 is a sequel to Halo 2. XI has nothing whatsoever to do with X, as it is an MMO in a different world with different characters, different races for characters, totally different storyline and background. XII has nothing to do with X or XI being in another world, with a different set of characters, and another different storyline. Going back further, IX, VIII, and VII all had different stories and characters and worlds (Although it's loosely implied VII might occur on the same planet as X. Even then, none of the locations are the same, none of the characters are the same, and hell, most of the races aren't the same.) What's more is, most of the games have a different combat style too. Many of them have the well known turn based system, but even then they differ, either with the strange time gauge they used, or the sequence chart that determined who moves when. Then there's several with a tile based combat system resembling Fire Emblem, an RTS, an MMO, and a gambit / real time system from XII... You can not fairly say one FF is a sequel of another (barring a few exceptions which were obviously meant to be, such as X-2, XII-RW, and the various FFVII spin offs), at least not in the way you can say Halo 3 is a sequel of Halo 2. Halo 3 is just Halo 2 with newer graphics, a new set of missions for the hero to be a hero again, and new guns to blow each other up with. The game play is pretty much the same all the way through, the story is just sequential, and the main character never changes... To Solidus: X-2 is a sequel of X. Revenant Wings is a sequel of FFXII. Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus are sequels/spin offs of VII. It is implied that VII is a sequel of X, but in a VERY, VERY loose sense.
  7. GJ not reading the whole guide. Or the AOW version which for some reason, won't update... I tried to update it and it says the image tag is disabled now. There are some pictures at the bottom. I'll probably add more, and if you have a specific request, go ahead and post or PM it...
  8. Monster examine is NOT wrong. Prime's max hit IS 26... with melee. Of course, Prime doesn't use melee, so that's pointless. In a few specific cases, the monster examine has been corrected for maximum hit, but most of the time, it still displays just the melee max hit. And again... I've heard someone say he's seen several 85s. I could easily type "I have personally witnessed prime hit 99s." That doesn't make it true... which is why I'm asking for a picture of some sort cause I don't believe I've ever seen a 60 or anything remotely near that high.
  9. LOL thanks for catching that. Somehow, I *always* get June and July mixed up...
  10. Some people have told me it was 60. Some have said it was 56. Some have said it was 40. I already tried what you plan to do, I went down there and let prime hit me, heal up, and let him hit me again. He maxed a 49. He might hit higher than that, I don't know, I only got hit like... 25 times before I ran out of healing and had to leave. I also browsed around YT for DK videos, and never saw over a 50.
  11. The Vengeance spell is not worth it. I don't know if anyone else has noticed it, but there's a bug with vengeance. I turned off my prayer, he hit me for a 58. Vengeance kicked in. Steelwill on the other side of the room took a huge hit. Vengeance doesn't work quite perfectly in a multi area, it sometimes reflects the damage to the wrong monster. Potion Share CAN be used but the problem is that people use potions at different times. Some people need it sooner due to lower stats, some people less often due to high stats. Also, the Brew-Restore combo wipes out the effect of your Super Attack and Super Strength potions. That means that you'd have to wait for all your other team mates to get a boost. I don't know about K'ril's attack, although I can say I doubt it would matter. I do not recall K'ril ever missing me with his special attack.
  12. B2P = 600k worth in runes and a weeks work farming level for straw berries = barely any time or they are extremly cheap you have been put down A weeks work? More like a few hours B2P also heals more, and can last much longer if you have lots of runes. If you're gonna spend a few hours on a new healing source, fruit bat is probably the better choice. Papaya heals 8, same as peaches. Pineapples do as well but I usually drop those since I don't want to waste time slicing them. Watermelons heal 15. And the bat also gives you different seeds. Also, Bones to Peaches doesn't work on anything that doesn't drop normal bones. Fruit Bat works in most places.
  13. I'm almost certain Dagannoth Prime's max hit is 50, not 60. Shortman4229 insists it's 60, and says he had pictures, but he said he'd send them to me a week ago and I haven't seen a pixel of these pictures yet. Do you actually have any pictures indicating he hits 60...? ^ That's the highest hit I found via Google. I've only personally witnessed a 49 or 50 (can't remember which).
  14. Your numbers for the potions aren't too accurate though. One of my friends went around and found people of almost every level in these stats and gave them different potions to see what the stat effect was, and I helped him calculate the actual formulas for these potion effects. It's like X% + Y or something. I don't remember the exact formula for Zamorak Brew, sorry. If you want more accurate information, PM Jard_Y_Dooku
  15. Killaman, you can lend for a 24 hour period.
  16. You misread the post. His point is that Jagex advertises the rule incorrectly. Jagex tries to say that the reason RWT is illegal is that it provides unfair advantages based on your real life status and they feel your real life status should NOT be tied to the game. However, with this update, your real life status GREATLY affects how you play the game such as wehther you can use the full screen or high detailed versions. That's not really accurate, seeing as there were many factors before, such as amount of leisure time, or quality of internet connection. But in either case, the point still stands. Your real life status DOES affect your ability to perform in Runescape, making that "purpose" of the rule moot.
  17. But the question is, where does Jagex draw the line? Are you saying they should just allow any unfair advantages since Runescape is already "unfair"? It's farfetched to limit a player's gaming time but reasonable to disallow RWT, especially in a competitive game like this. That's common gaming etiquette. Also, you didn't add how the people who put in more hours are still putting in work whereas RWTers can just trade in $500 which they didn't even work for. Making money in Runescape and only in Runescape ensures that you truly and fairly reached the accomplishment. No matter how many hours you can pull off, the work is all that truly matters. No it doesn't. Pre RWT updates, I could trade 500M to my friend. He did not reach the accomplishment "truly" or "fairly". The fact of the matter is that it doesn't matter AT ALL because there are TONS of ways to get huge amounts of money or XP you didn't earn. You kill 2 Mithril Dragons and get 2 dragon full helmets. Someone dies in front of you and drops 3 party hats. Your friend gives you 200m cash when he quits. Someone sells you thousands sharks for 150 gp each because he's unaware of their value. All of these have the same effect as if you went out and bought 50m cash: You now have a massive gain in money that you didn't work at all for. Jagex disallowed RWT for one simple reason: RWT creates problems to an extent that the others don't. When there's real money involved, people are more likely to macro or break real world laws. People get scammed when they try to trade real world money for Runescape money or vice versa. There are many, many ways for people to attain achievements without working for them. The only reason Jagex chose specifically to outlaw this one form of it is because it creates too many other issues.
  18. ^ This. The truth is, RWT is probably beneficial to the game by itself. Players who enjoy earning money through grinding can do so and have an outlet for their extra money, that will benefit them in real life. Players who contribute more in the real world, and thus have less leisure time to play this game, will still be able to enjoy it to some extent. The damage caused by "unfair advantages" is more or less irrelevant. People who have more leisure time in real life have an indisputable advantage over those who work 48 hours a week, feed a family of 5, and spend the majority of their remaining time on house care. However, RWT also encourages other behavior. Macros, while contributing to the economy, detracts from the work of others by stopping them from being able to earn what they SHOULD earn for enduring boring tasks. Wood cutters deserve a certain amount of money for their logs because no one else is willing to do it. Macros take away from this. Also, criminal behavior in real life to pay for the membership is encouraged, as shown by the credit card fraud problems.
  19. Over 9000 isn't a brawl term... it's like from some anime lol. I dropped by Gamestop to send in a job application today, and decided to bring my DS... so I got the Deoxys wondercard too. Now I just need to pick up the Deoxys. I'm reseting until I get a decent one though.
  20. Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn isn't bad at all. It's actually kind of easy for a Fire Emblem game (relatively), which makes it way better for someone unfamiliar with the series. Neither Roy nor Marth are in it, but Ike from Brawl is (although he looks a lot cooler in RD than in Brawl). Roy's game has never been made in America. Marth's is being made now for the DS but you won't see it for a while either.
  21. Might want to read what he actually says. Notice the "about." Everything in Runecape is based on luck. (minus a couple of secondary skills (flething, crafting)) I could hit my max hit 1000 times but just as likely I could hit 0 1000 times. (Really, think before you type...) Even fletching and crafting are based on luck. You could get random events non stop until 99 making you take 3 times as long in getting the level. Or you could start at exactly the right time, and Jagex makes an update that makes it drastically cheaper / more expensive. Or you could be holding 100k yew longbows the same day Jagex decides "Hey let's change the alch value to 50 gp." Bad luck can ruin everything in Runescape. Therefore everything in runescape is at least partially luck based.
  22. Do you have access to Piety? If so, you could go Bandos with a decent sized team. Your range is too low right now. Try going for 90 Attack and Defense. Go for an attacking role on your team. A note to all: I realize people tend to use the word "tank" to describe what I call walls. The reason I use "wall" rather than "tank" is that I feel the term is being used inappropriately. Tanks not only take heavy fire, they can fight back. Unless you are with a fairly small team, most teams prefer someone who just heals, and you can't really use super sets effectively when Graardor's attacking you.
  23. Lol I was joking about Jigglypuff. But it DOES make it a lot easier to land rest if they aren't moving at all... :D Them moving = you need to combo them. Them not moving = you casually walk over and use rest on them lol. And yea Lucario's weakness doesn't completely ruin him, you can get used to it. But using a character's weaknesses against them isn't "cheap", it's playing the game. And if they pick Lucas, and try to fight ground to ground, they're asking to get death grabbed.
  24. Well if you actually fight Lucas without using that dang infinite grab then it's a challenge. If you decide to wimp out you can resort to those tactics. I find that strategy cheap, just because it takes very little skill to pull off, just grabbing at the right time. So is falco's CG to dair [bleep]e. Diddy's infinite D throw. Olimar's camping/grabbing. Pika's spam. Pit spam. In fact, the only "cheap" tactic that does require skill is probably IC... Hehe. Soma. I'll own you with Lucas. Theres an extremely cheap tactic that lets me beat that infinite : To anybody that wants to know, keep reading. : : : : : : Don't get grabbed! Sure, I'll play you. And the point isn't that the death grab kills Lucas. The point is that you completely lose your ground game against Marth, because you CAN'T risk standing on the ground. I've played against MANY Lucas's, and the fact is, Lucas can not safely stand on the ground when Marth is on the ground as well. That let's Marth abuse shield and F-Air chains like crazy. Also, every character has their weaknesses. Lucario's, for example, is being unable to hit anything with his Up B, making him VERY easy to beat with edge hogging. Is it unfair to use edge hogging against him? Absolutely not. Lucas has a horrible weakness in that if he snaps out of a grab, there's a massive delay before he can move again. Just like the aforementioned tactic against Lucario, it's just using the charactr's disadvantages. Is using projectiles against Marth "wimping out" because Marth doesn't have any? How about moving against Jigglypuff because Jigglypuff's best moves require you to stay relatively still? :wall:
  25. Well, I intentionally left out the inventory screens with this rewrite. My reasoning is that just because this particular inventory works for me, doesn't mean it will work even remotely well for anyone else. I'm 99 prayer. I can't tell someone with 70 prayer how many super restore potions he will need. In fact, I can't even tell someone else with 99 prayer how many he would need, since I don't know how frequently he uses them. I also don't know what his preferences are to healing and such. I am going to add a few sample inventories, with the reminder not to copy them item for item. That just doesn't work. EDIT: I added in the first batch of pictures (Was taking them while reading your posts).
