  1. You know, you COULD have just asked for a gout tuber. I had about 15 when the Karamja update came... and I kept getting offers from people to buy em for 200k-250k each. I think I sold 9 or so before I realized why people were buying them :D Oh and you're not the only one who keeps leaving drops. That's the second godsword shard I nearly left on the ground... I never see the lootshare messages. Edit: Lee, I won't rub it in this time, but a Beret Mask is made from a Mime Mask with a Black Beret. Get one of each and bring them to the guy on Mos Le Harmless, who will combine them for you.
  2. I'm not sure if you read my post incorrectly or something, but I didn't say that Soma suggested this. I was just stating that my partner and I don't do this method. So when he replies back, has a firm understanding of the way we do it. That's all. Thanks for the other information, though. I was under the impression his Ranged attack was also mixed with magic.... Guess that was the wrong impression. The shockwave attack has nothing to do with magic except for the fact that it uses the magic failed sound effect, and creates a splash when it misses. It deals range damage and uses range defense, not magic defense. Steelwill does do quite a bit of damage to you. However, since Graardor is attacking you the full time, range defense is more important. The minions, as mentioned, try to target whoever struck Graardor last. Since you'll be healing more during the fight than anyone else, the minions will also attack you less. Also consider that Grim[bleep]e will be attacking you whenever Steel is, so you'll take less damage from him. All in all, range defense seems to be more effective than magic.
  3. Artemis, thank you VERY much. Armadyl is probably the one boss I'm least experienced with, and those tips help a lot. I'll add some of them into the guide right away. As far as the zamorak item goes: I will mention the Verac's Helm, but otherwise I think it's best to leave that option available: You can't deny that it does make gathering kill count more flexible to say the least.
  4. I'll laugh if they die....wearing the rare. Hopefully the rare is returned or -.- The suggestion I once posted was that when you lend an item, the lender sets a time of return: 1 hour, 12 hours, 24 hours, or 48 hours. The item is automatically put into the collect box at the GE (Add another slot for lended items.) Any lended item will automatically be given an infinitely high protect value, can not be alched, sold, transformed, used if it's an arrow or chinchompa or the like, eaten, used in construction, dropped, destroyed, or used in the quest, taken into the Abyss, withdrawn from bank if the borrower is skulled, or borrowed by someone that is currently skulled. Basically, it would automatically be returned, and there's no conceivable way of getting rid of it, although you could return it prematurely. Also, disconnecting doesn't help since it still gets placed in the box after the time period (Just like buying things while logged off.) I wouldn't be surprised if Jagex implements something like that.
  5. Thanks, I can't believe I overlooked that. Yea, DON'T allow Zil to get more than 3 consecutive attacks on you. And I really hope Lee doesn't plan on reading this. He's already giving me hell over all the Zil horror stories I told him.
  6. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there is a Calculus 101? Calculus is like Math 123 or something... there's a MATH 101. I don't know if I agree with the percentage. The point is to stop people who know each other from giving each other good deals, or else they could just use that to transfer money quickly. 100k per 15 minutes is reasonable though. That amounts to 400k an hour, if both people have put countless hours into quests and skills.
  7. There has NOT been a tank in your guide. Like I said, at least a dozen people read your guide that I know, and I've asked them. ALL of them remember you saying to use protection from melee if Graardor gets on you, and NONE of them recall you stating that you should have one person that always gets Graardor on him. And whether your team mates are proficient at that is not my business. This is not false information, your responses are the ones that are false. Up to now, I have tried to avoid bringing in everyone who did read your guide to back me up, merely because I would like to avoid this becoming a flame war. But you seem stubborn about not admitting you were wrong, so if you continue to push this further, I WILL get everyone that I showed your guide to to come back me up. And finally, I have a hard time finding any of your arguments credible. You have lied multiple times when trying to flame me and the other GWDers that reviewed your guide. For example, I do recall you saying the lowest ranking you had was a 7/10 and the rest were all 9/10? Well, on the first or second page, I found a 5/10 rank, long before any of us posted. You said "I never editted the Bandos Guide." Your very next post contradicted that. You are a liar, and you are continually lying, and expecting me to not contradict you? Again, you stop posting lies, and I will stop contradicting you.
  8. No. I understand fine. Realize that I read your guide while trying to decide whether or not to post mine, and I showed it to multiple of my friends. And I have asked every single one of them. Your guide originally had no mention of a tank, nor standing in the center to catch Graardor. Also, using the center point is something almost entirely unique right now, since only 1 or 2 people I met has EVER been able to succeed using it. That happens to be the technique in my guide, but I have yet to tell if I explained it enough to be successful. You lied when you said you did not change the guide. And when we called you on that, you lied about not changing your technique. It's changed. It never even mentioned a tank before, and it told the reader to use protection from melee if Graardor is on him. That segment is now entirely removed. And again, I will only stop posting when you stop posting in response to my posts. You stop, as in, do not make another lie to cover up your tracks in response to this, and I will no longer post either.
  9. Bandos Godsword is priced at 45m. 15% would therefore be 6,750,000 GP. I pay you $15. You trade me a godsword for 5m underpriced. RWT.
  10. You DID change your technique. Just like you changed your description of Saradomin. Please stop asking me to stop posting right after you deliberately lie about something to try to show me in poor light. Not to mention, just last post you claimed you never changed anything, which you contradicted in the very next post. This conversation could have ended roughly 10 posts ago. It is YOU who decided to take it too far by flaming other people's guides with no basis. I said it once, I'll say it again. Your guide appears to be the product of half a dozen trips to one or two bosses, and everything else comes from what your friends say, or other people's guides. It is not very well researched, has many misstated facts, and is generally very cosmetic. Admittedly, it's a well written guide for someone unable to even access one of the bosses. I'd rate it a 5/10. If you don't want me to continue posting, I recommend you stop posting as well. And please, if you want to use the tactics and information I spent hours developing and collecting for my guide, at least ask permission.
  11. Heheheh... My guide is older than yours and I didn't edit my Bandos Technique since the beginning of my guide... :-k You said that my Bandos guide was very ineffective, and now you say you have the same as me? =D> Please stop posting on my guide. You have got yourself ridiculous enough, don't make it worse :. Your Bandos guide has been editted MULTIPLE times. I, as well as probably 12 or so others, were laughing about it while I was at Bandos, because I read it, saw it, thought it was funny, and told them. Your strategy had no mention of a tank at all. And it never did mention a tank standing in the middle. Rather, you said "Whoever he's on pray melee, the rest pray range." Don't lie. I can get several people to confirm: They all read your guide before I posted mine, and we were talking about it in game long before I posted mine as well.
  12. I'll give you the fury. Fine. But the truth is, barrow gloves shouldn't be used anyways, as D'hide only has 1 less attack and has more magic defense. If you had used that, you would've protected karils, karils, and glory. Versus karils, karils, and fury, being no different. Seeing as you decided you want barrow gloves, fine, I'll concede that point. I don't remember ever seeing item prices in the KB. If you're referring to Tip.It's item database, that's a horrible assumption to make. And again, researching isn't pulling up the handiest database and looking at it, especially when you're not sure your source is fully updated. I found your Bandos method VERY entertaining. Why? Because right after the others responded to your thread, your bandos method is now EXACTLY the same as mine. Only not explained properly. And the writing is ambiguous enough to imply that those are the requirements. Period. I'm not trying to flame you. I'm merely trying to express that you should not write a guide about a topic you are not extremely familiar with. Particularly when it's a dangerous topic that can get people killed.
  13. The "proof" is in the facts that you: - Claim fury is a high risk item, when with your set up, you would not lose it. - Argue that "lots of items protect over hilts so tele right away" - Use the simplest, and one of the weaker strategies that most people already know of for Bandos I feel comfortable saying you haven't researched it, because most facts you provided are wrong, and your strategies seem simple, ineffective, and incomplete. And again, I don't think "my friend's helped me make it" is enough to consider it "researched." Edit: Also, your quest requirements are wrong. None of the bosses REQUIRE a prayer book, and for most, there is a better alternative. Eadgar's Ruse is not required, Death Plateau, and about 50% of Troll Stronghold is required (Able to pass Dad.) I don't see any reason why 40 prayer would be a requirement either. You don't NEED pray to bypass the troll throwers, 40 isn't enough for protect melee against Bandos or K'ril... And as someone earlier pointed out, Northern Hobgoblins are literally one of four good kill count spots. It's definitely not "The Best" as some of the other spots are way faster, and you take less damage doing so depending on your gear.
  14. I was asked to write a guide by a good friend. When I got on your forum, there was already a guide here... so I decided to take a look before writing my own. I was a bit shocked at some the content you had which is why I mentioned it to another friend, and word spread. As for why I decided to post, well, I don't really think I'd refrain from commenting on a guide that suggested you go after KQ with shrimp and a party hat with a rubber chicken. Following your guide, people could suffer some SERIOUS losses at GWD. Also, it really disturbed me how a lot of the facts you presented were about things you've never done. You really should refrain from writing guides about something you haven't thoroughly researched.
  15. Umm just to let you know. This doesn't work anymore. You can not turn off your light source in the mole tunnels. It can not go out on its own. And you can not go down without one anymore. No, you can't alch it either. I tried when I was bringing dharoks to go after the mole. However, the lumbridge tunnels should still work.
  16. For once, you're providing a blatantly wrong fact. Name those items that have a shop value higher than a hilt? A hilt has a selling to store value of 200,000. That's higher than all barrow items, whips, dark bows, fury amulets, berserker rings, dragon boots. Unless you're bringing 3 Dragon Square Shields to there, or 3 Crystal items, you're NOT going to lose the hilt. Also, the people who do know me here are all professional GWDers. I tried to be polite by only commenting on the one thing that could be actively dangerous to other people. Your guides are misleading, and only the people who don't realize it have rated it so far. I don't think it was right for Genius to flame you such, but his argument IS justified. Edit: Okay I just checked some statistics. Hilt - Sells for 200k Full Blade - Sells for 300k Shard Sells for 100k DRAGON LEGS - Sells for 108k DRAGON SQUARE SHIELD - Sells for 200k, PROTECTS UNDER HILT. I checked this by comparing 2 d squares + a hilt with a blade. I'd protect hilt, blade, and one square. The only items that would protect over hilt are: Dragonfire shield *Possibly* Crystal shield or Crystal bow. Not certain. I don't really see any reason someone would bring one of each of the above, or 3 DFS. Probably the only items at risk if you die are shards, worth 500k (you'd keep shards over something like a whip...) and Armadyl armor which has fairly mediocre protect value. Bandos Armor, Hilts, Saradomin sword all have high protect values.
  17. Actually, the things you criticized are completely idiotic. You were comparing it to Tip.It's actual database, when a lot of the information you say "Tip.It has and it's useless", it came from here. Or rather, came from these pictures and the person who took them. Also, ctrl f would not work because of formatting issues. And it is already sorted by levels. The only way you could use the find function would be to add text, which would have to be lined up correctly and make it worse. You did very little personal research when you wrote your guide, which is why several professional GWDers were rating it low. It wasn't because someone they knew also had a guide, it was because the information you provided was inaccurate in many places and was hardly researched. Instead of correcting that, you're finding reasons to criticize someone else's guide, mostly unfounded reasons.
  18. I was wandering around MB, looking for one of those knights or orks. My friend and I were both outfitted, hoping to tag one and get a DDS. (Just for fun, neither of us really need it. Lol.) Well, I go west a bit and I see one coming. Wait a sec, that's two. No wait, that's three... no wait, four. Right-click: Attack Revenant Knight (Level-126) Attack Revenant Knight (Level-126) Attack Revenant Ork (Level-105) Attack Revenant Knight (Level-126) Walk Here Examine Revenant Knight (Level-126) Examine Revenant Knight (Level-126) Examine Revenant Ork (Level-105) Examine Revenant Knight (Level-126) It was NOT an easy battle. I got lucky and hit a couple 45s on the first one, then I started getting tagged. My friend raced in, hit another, got tagged too. I chased the one he weakened, finished it off, finished off the first one i fought, then killed the ork (A nice 49-51 combo) while my friend finished off the last one. 4 piles of coins. :D
  19. Benjamin, there's a few things you should change / remove from your guide. First off, your second item transfer method doesn't work. There's no wilderness, and when you die, no one sees your items UNLESS they were the one who killed you and you were in bounty hunter. Also, saying do this in bounty hunter won't work. Even if it's from auto retaliate, if you kill ANYONE not your target, you will get the penalty. That includes if they attacked you first or you're their target. Secondly, you really ought to remove your guide on Saradomin. Saradomin's Encampment is perhaps my favorite portion of the God Wars Dungeon, and having been there dozens of times, the strategy you listed would not work efficiently without at least 10 people. Even with 10 people, it is a VERY risky strategy to employ, as even with 99 defense, 99 hitpoints, 99 prayer, and +360 slash defense, I can't stand toe to toe with her melee attacks for more than a minute. She does an INCREDIBLE amount of damage. Finally, whether you choose to heed my above warning or not, I highly, highly recommend you remove the solo-ing sara guide. That does not work. I have a friend who attempted to solo her with protect magic and melee attacks eight times. He died once, lost the other 7 times. He used multiple setups, and he's maxed out (99-99-99, 99 hitpoints, 99 pray) and he never even got her to 25% of her hitpoints. Like I said, she does way too much damage for that. There were only two ways of solo-ing Zilyana to my knowledge. The first is to lure her to the doorway and pin her and starlight in the right positions, then blast chinchompas to kill her. This method no longer works as the doorway is removed. The second is a hit and run, preferably with range attacks. I've successfully solo'd her twice with that method out of 3 tries. I'm guessing you've never fought or watched someone fight Zilyana before, as you're only 58 agility. She is the DEADLIEST of all 4 GWD Bosses. As I wrote in my guide, her melee attack uses the attack speed of darts, and hits almost every time on my +360 defense, piety, sara brewed, 99 defense. You should hold off writing that portion of the guide until you've tried it yourself.
  20. Just a few things I'd like to point out: 1) I think you're overrating Veracs. At about 85+ attack, it's better to use Black Mask + Whip + Rune Defender than Veracs. Also, after 95+ attack, you may not even need the black mask. You can also use a Godsword, which has enough attack bonus to utterly destroy her defense, even in the second form. 2) 91 runecrafting doesn't just double profit. With Pure Essence at 110 GP, and Nature Runes at 270, you make 160 GP per nature rune of profit. After 91 runecrafting, you get 540 gp out of each essence, but the cost remains constant, making it 430 GP profit. That's ~2.68 times as much profit, and actually closer to 3 times than 2 times. 3) Most of your prices are out of date. Are they pre-GE prices? Also, I recommend you remove the methods that actually lose cash... like making gold ores into gold bars. A large part of the smithing table is useless. 4) You should mention the charos ring when you talk about mining gold. It makes banking the gold faster and cheaper. Other than that, it seems like a fairly well written guide.
  21. I'm gonna guess Artemis1330 is your username. I added you and if I have time I'll take you up on that offer. And yes I'm going to write an Armadyl and Zamorak Section. With 2 people, I get 5-8 Kree kills, and with 3 I can get 12-16. I haven't tested with 4. And the method I wrote about gets 40+ kills easily with decent drops.
  22. Godsword specials are very unreliable against these bosses, you can't really count on them hitting. Otherwise, that would be a good suggestion. And I noted your steel darts trick, thanks for the suggestion. [hide=Long Quote] Thats a bad idea, as you tank isin't always overwhelmed. The added damage can be veru useful. I usualy bring a sup set to further minimize damage and do mroe damage. I already added a section about using Guthans. I considered mentioning both the super set and the pure brews, but seeing as I've tried it all three ways, this still feels like the best method. Graardor attacks roughly half the time with range. With good range defense, he misses about half of the time. That means he has approximately a 25% chance of striking you. His max hit is 35, so usually, 2 doses of brews heals that, and it takes 3 doses before you use a restore. In addition to that, his attacks are slow. Seeing it from that perspective, if your tank does nothing but heal, he is wasting a lot of time just standing there. However, since you use brews at least once every 2-3 kills, super sets are also inefficient. Guthans does work fairly well, and is listed in the last section I recently added. Duly noted, and corrected. Thank you very much. :) I get your point, however to me anyways, he uses his range atk much less then melee. It also does not hit that much. I have pretty trustworthy friends, and keep my health at 50 befopre potting. I also always pot above 10%, sup restore, then sup set. The def does wonders.... If you arn;'t counting on damage, then theres no point to sup restore. [/hide] Like I said, I know that method. I've used it on multiple occasions, and while our trips last roughly the same amount of time, we got a few more kills per trip. Also, with my normal tank gear, I use a brew roughly once every 2 rounds. With this setup, it's easy to finish 50 rounds a trip with a good team. Mathematically, that means I'd need 25 super set doses, or roughly 6 potions. You use about 5-6 prayer potions during the trip if you're not bothering with stats, and 7-8 restore potions as they also give more prayer than prayer potions do. You save 2-3 spaces by not bothering with restores. From my experience, the loss of the damage capacity is not worth those 3 brews.
  23. Sorry, meant to edit, accidentally quoted myself. #-o

  25. i dont think so It is. No, it isn't. They get item protect disabled if they KILL someone that's not their target.
