  1. I made an account on RuneHQ but never used it. I've only gone to their website once in the past twelve months, and that was because Tip.It didn't have a drop list for Commander Zilyana. Turns out they don't even HAVE Zilyana in their database. Lol.
  2. Pyramid Plunder is the best for Thieving XP. For fishing, I would suggest heavy rod fishing. You only need to use 20-30 pieces of bait, and after that you can just use roe/caviar/fish parts as bait.
  3. You have to earn it again.
  4. I don't really PK so I'm not certain of the common etiquette regarding Fighter's Torso and Fire Cape. But if you're bringing it to the wilderness for it's bonuses, aren't you supposed to be "risking" it? Hence, if someone or something obstructs you from retrieving it, and you lose it forever, isn't that something you're just going to have to accept? If I was PKing I'd probably stop them from retrieving their torso or cape because they chose to risk them instead of the alternatives, like a rune or bandos plate, or a skill / obsidian cape...
  5. I wouldn't go that far. Look at it this way, would you rather work in a shoe factory or coal mine doing manual labor 12 hours a day, 7 days a week... or would you rather work at a desk, sitting down somewhere indoors? Excellent job Hydraweapon, that was a really cool idea to actually get to talk to one of them Well maybe I was a bit over the top but then again, it is quite possible that I am not. I was mainly talking about the fact that they get $25 a month which really can't give them much of a life style. I should of made that more clear :^o When my grandfather was in China, he went to one of the small stores to purchase those breakfast pastry-bun things. He paid one American dollar and the salesman was about to give him 8 of the breakfast buns. $25 may not sound like much to live on. But since in China, they don't have as many employment regulations, that may help a family A LOT. I expect many gold farmers are teenagers with two working parents, like most sweatshop workers. Otherwise they're adults that are down on their luck, and begging probably nets them a little less than the $25 a month...
  6. They misworded the answer. If you read carefully, it asks which one only requires 1 one level. Pineapples are picked, and require no levels. Anchovies only require fishing; they have no cooking requirement. None of the others belong on Pizza.
  7. The Avionies and the Armadyl Spiritual Warriors and Mages and Rangers should probably just be categorized as "Avionies" as that seems to be their race. Same goes for Kree'arra and his/her bodyguards. Also, Growler, Bree, and Starlight from the Saradomin Encampment should probably be classified as "Animals" rather than undead...
  8. All you're needs on the god wars dungeon Where did you find this FAQ? Cause I don't believe any of the bodyguards drop Armadyl Armor, Bandos Armor, Saradomin Sword, or Zamorak Spear. I've gotten a Zamorak Spear, Bandos Hilt, and Armadyl Top before and all three were from bosses. My team has also gotten a Bandos Tassets, Armadyl Skirt, at least three more Zamorak Spears... and all of them were from the boss. On the flip side, I've personally gotten three or four shards from various bodyguards (one from a boss), and my teammates have also gotten 6-7... So from personal experience, it seems the bodyguards can only drop shards...
  9. Before you go around correcting people it helps if you get your facts straight. The KQ's "prayer" ONLY reduces accuracy, NOT damage. It reduces damage slightly. I've never hit over 30 on the KQ with a whip after hundreds of tries. The only time in this video he hit high, it still appears possible to have been able to fit under the 33% damage cut. And prayer against players has never been fully, 100% effective until Sigmund or however you spell his name. It's generally reduced damage by about 33%, and since I've never seen anyone hit their full maximum hit on her without veracs, I don't hesitate in believing it's got a slight damage reduction. If you have a pic to prove me on, post it please.
  10. Okay thanks a lot. Darn, why didn't I think of looking at Tip.it's guides first lol... This thread can be locked now, I have my answers. :)
  11. What is the difference between Roe and Caviar? I've searched the knowledge base but I can't seem to find any mention of what the difference is. One of my friends tells me that Caviar is necessary for higher level mixes. Is that true? If so, what's the highest level potion I can mix roe into? Thanks.
  12. Then perhaps I'm just accursed with an overabundance of understanding of how this game works. Any computer game such as this is run on an algorithm. In other words, if you go to a trip, your drops are practically predetermined. If a mage DOES choose to go alone, from personal experience, he does not last as long as he would last going with a team of hybrids, or with another mage helping him, etc. Since your drops are literally predetermined, if your last trip was a dragon axe, that one extra kill extension was what it took to get the drop. Had you gone alone, you would have ended up with almost the exact same list of drops, and no dragon axe at the end assuming you fell 1 kill short. And Time, I've seen multiple trips where one person gets pounded in one fight... and loses all their brews out of pure misfortune. Having seen it happen more than once, I still can't justify withholding that person's share because they had to leave a few kills earlier. And again, in part I understand the mage at DKs argument, and I respect both arguments. But I still do not think it's that fair, because it still leaves too many unanswered situations. Also, I don't know if you mage often at DKs, because from my experience, drops are very inconsistent. So yes, the hybrids DO help. Prime and Supreme drop more consistently, and that share helps keep the mages in action, because without the share of the ranger's loot, they may very well not be able to afford runes or such to keep doing trips. It's fairly depressing to return emptyhanded after 3 solo mage trips... but it's not nearly as disheartening if you have your runes covered in part by the rangers and hybrids. And really, if that's the case, you should be returning the favor.
  13. As far as Dagannoth King goes, I've had no problem with class splits as long as they were announced and understood by everyone before the trip began. However, many of the mages I went with did not like this method, because for the most part, mages are hit and miss. Sometimes, you'll pull two dragon axes. Other times, you won't see a thing for five trips. For many mages, those five trips at the high expense pretty much tell them that there won't be a next trip... lack of runes. However, the issue is when you consider the trip shared by everyone, and expect everyone to split their drops even with the other group (hybrids with mages, and vice versa.) In that scenario, I think it's basically implied that the purpose is for everyone to walk away with a fair split. If that's the case I don't see how it can be fair to exclude someone because he ran out of potions 2-3 kills early... This applies especially to scenarios like hybrids and GWD, because in those cases, the one who teleports out early is usually the one who took the hits, hence expending more prayer and supplies than the others.
  14. I want to see the picture. I don't have that picture anymore, I deleted it on accident while cleaning up. I'll ask my friend to send me it again if he still has it.
  15. I usually follow the other method because my team does. It is disheartening when your team gets a d axe the kill after you tele though. :x See, what REALLY disheartens me is when I get the D axe after most of my team teleports. I don't get too upset about losing my share due to this rule. But I hate it when 3/5 people teleport, we get something valuable, and my partner refuses to split with the other 3. THAT is what disheartens me mostly. The whole principle bothers me. Yesterday it took me 20 minutes to convince my parter to share, and the only reason I could was that the drop was mine to start...
  16. Everyone who's posted seems to share my view of this situation. But EVERY one of my friends who DK or go GWD professionally with only 1 notable exception follow the opposite method. My response last time this subject was broached, when the issue was DKing, my only solution was to leave the team. I'm wondering... should that be my response this time as well?
  17. Some guy pmed Mod Mark on accident and said "Dude this new autoing tool owns I got 300k xp overnight." I saw the pic... it was pretty funny.
  18. They USED to be 5 gp each. Which owned really really badly until archers found out and bought them up so slayers never had any... lol.
  19. The issue is that these ARE friends of mine. Good friends ever since I first started Dag King hunting. And again, some of them are/were very prominent on these forums. They are all very nice people, and respected on their forums. And I also respect their decision, but at the same time I disagree with it. Lee once tried to convince me of this method as well as Trojann, both very well known on these forums to my knowledge. They're very nice people, and were very good friends, but somehow they insisted that their method was the only fair method of ensuring that people who worked for the kills got their fair share. Fastforce and Timeouts already have a GWD blog and I'm going with them quite often. And now it's them that I'm having the disputes with... So far we've kept it pretty clean, and have tried hard to compromise. But this is what eventually broke me away from Trojann and most of my other DK-ing friends, and now it's threatening to break me away from the GWD community as well.
  20. It seems among most players, it's pretty unanimous that you deserve a portion of it. Unless you were completely unhelpful and harming more than helping. This is what bothers me... why is it that so many Dag King hunters and GWDers insist that their method is better? In part I can understand applying this to DK, because mages do spend more on supplies, so this is an incentive to mage. But with the methods we use at GWD, we all use the same set up. The only reason someone leaves early is because: a) Lag and died... or nearly died and teleported. B) Sponged the attacks too often, and took the most damage, hence had to leave early. c) Left of his own accord because he felt something else took priority. In case c), yes the person should be excluded from the split. He chose to leave early and shortened the trip because of it. But in both of the other cases, I feel he deserves a share. And all the other people I go with tend to disagree... Oh yes, Saru, you're a member of GOF. I've been on trips with GOF members before, and they all followed this policy as well. I'm wondering, is that your clan policy in general? For those who don't know, GOF is a Dagannoth Hunting clan.
  21. This is a morale conflict I've had over the recent months, both with myself and my friends. In fact, this is the conflict that eventually drove me completely away from the Dagannoth King Hunting community, and now, it appears to be the issue that will stop me from being part of the GWD community. Please do not respond unless you have the patience to read through and fully comprehend the issue. This tradition started with Dagannoth King Hunting, when teams of 4-5 would be able to effectively kill the kings for up to 3 hours. Whether you split the drops is no question: everyone who helped gets a share. Who deserves the split then became the issue. Immediately, the top hunters, famous on these forums, established their own method, which was only people in the room at the time of the kill gets a share. This does seem fair at first... until you've been on both sides of it once. While hunting Dagannoth Kings, the mages tend to last longer because of no need to use prayer. The wizards teleport out 5-20 kills after the rangers. I've been on both sides of this before. One time, we had four dry trips, and the last trip, all the rangers, including me, teleported. Then the mage got 3 dragon axes in a row. And of course, he refused to split because of this policy, and we were forced to honor it. Secondly, I was left once because of the death of my team mates. I managed to get in 5-6 kills after retrieving items and pulled a dragon axe and berserker ring. While they all honored our agreement, I refused to myself, so I split it with them. This disagreement has led to many things. First, I've almost entirely retired from the Dagannoth Hunting Community on TIF because of this. I went DK with a good friend of mine, Trojann2. However, we could never agree over this issue and eventually we each went our own way. Now that the GWD has come out, I've been there multiple times. I find myself on the extra earnings side again, and I still find I can't accept it. My question to you is this. In a hypothetical situation, five warriors spend days down there. Not until the 10th raid against Graardor do they find anything worthwhile. They retrieve a Bandos Hilt, easily worth 50M. One warrior however was pummeled first, and was forced to teleport one kill before. Fighting these bosses is truly random. Everyone usually ends up being "the first one out" some time or another. This is usually because one person tries to draw Graardor's attention to himself to protect his allies. This happens a lot, and some times one person does it too much and leaves 1-3 kills earlier. Well, is it really fair for the unfortunate to have purely lost the 1m cash in potions he invested, while the others each profit 11.5m? Because that's how this current sharing system is. Last night I personally got a god shard drop after one of our team teleported. I insisted on splitting with her (we only had 3 people) and eventually I convinced my teammate to give her at least half a share. But still, I feel this entire principle is wrong. What do you think? Is the "people in the room" method a better, fairer one as most TIF DK hunters and GWD raiders strongly assert? Or should splits purely depend on whether you we're helping on that trip? On a final note, I'm sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong forum. I'm not particularly looking for a debate, only to see if anyone thinks the same way I do, or if people have other reasons for preferring their method. If this thread does belong somewhere else, could you please move it? Thank you. EDIT: Thank you to whichever mod cleared up the whole issue with multiple posts everywhere. I really appreciate it. Teaches me never to post when I have two TIF tabs open on Firefox... Lol. Lag galore + teleporting and misposts :(.
  22. That looks real. Is it? Okay, that picture REALLY bothers me. Because TBH, I faked that exact picture for one of my friends before. 3 items on top I don't remember, robin then 3rd age on the second. Also, whoever faked that picture made the same mistake I did. If you look carefully, there's a unique blockish appearance where the colour doesn't quite blend properly. ...where did you get that picture...? Lol... EDIT: Never mind it's not the one I made. Whoever made it made the same mistakes I did though. And his alignment's worse than mine is, the shield is definitely off by at least 4-5 pixels.
  23. This is not a bad update in any way. Training in the wilderness is SUPPOSED to entail risk from other players. If you can't handle the PKers without hiding behind a monster, then kill Brutal Green Dragons instead of normal Green Dragons, craft runes the old fashioned way instead of through the Abyss, and only complete non wilderness clues. Sure, it's painful. But hey, you're the one not willing to deal with the risks of the wilderness. This is coming from someone who hardly PKs anymore. I abyss RC and do wilderness clues all the time. Complaining your "defenseless" isn't going to help you. Bring food, brings pots, bring armor, bring weapons. If it cuts into your inventory space then you decide: Worth it to do it in the wilderness?
