  1. 1) Prayer doesn't work. 1a) This is false. Protect from Magic sigificantly reduces the damage inflicted by his Claw attack, and it reduces the maximum hit of his Magic attack by about 10. He can still hit up to around 54 through Protect from Magic, but it's much less frequent and at any rate, a 54 is much better than a 65. Of all the people I have seen KOed by the CB, the vast majority were not using Protect from Magic. I'd definitely contest this fact. I'm not entirely sure which attack you're referring to, but I literally put on protect from magic, and let him hit me, step out, heal, repeat for a few minutes. His [bleep]y blast-like attack hit a 58. That maxes at 60+ so I feel safe saying protect magic didn't affect that at all. His roundish "strike" looking attack hit a 47. Not sure what that maxes at, but I still feel safe saying protect magic didn't alter it much. However it took 4 hits before he actually hit a 47 with this. Claw - I thought prayer worked for a bit. The first 2 claws hit very little on me. Then the third claw hit a 38-18-14. It might have landed one more hit, I don't know, I was jumping out and eating the moment I saw the 38. Those are his 3 attacks asides from his melee attack that I have recognized, and none of them seem affected at all by Protect from Magic. However, his melee attack is blocked by protect from melee. That I can also confirm, as well as two others. Magic may reduce the accuracy of certain attacks. But it certainly doesn't change their max hits by a noticeable amount.
  2. You do that... It's not fair if I tell you and no one else. Am I supposed to just let everyone in if they blackmail me? Or just you, because you're "special"? A hint's a hint. If you can find it, kudos to you. If you choose to share it, oh well. If someone wanted it kept secret forever they'd hardly hint at it on an easily seen topic.
  3. :wall: *Starts to speak* I really... :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: Okay. Umm, is a method that lets you duo the CB in 40 minutes REALLY important enough to need a guide? Especially when a 3 man team can take it down in 10 minutes easily and consistently? Without using the safespot, my brother (Level 110) and I were able to take him under 25%... this really isn't much of a secret. Now if only we could actually get drops...
  4. To be honest, both your Electivire and Milotic have horrible movesets. You should try to avoid ever using two moves of the same type, with few exceptions. Unfortunately, without breeding you have quite a limited movepool. Electivire Thunderbolt, Thunderpunch, Thunder. If you haven't EV trained, you may consider taking both T-Bolt and T-Punch. Electivire has a fairly limited movepool if you don't consider egg moves. Consider, Thunderbolt Thunderpunch Brick Break Earthquake If you're willing to rebreed, Thunderbolt / Thunderpunch Ice Punch / Fire Punch / Earthquake Ice Punch / Fire Punch / Earthquake Cross Chop A similar situation applies to Milotic. Milotic is actually better as a defensive Pokemon, so loading a bunch of attack moves onto it is unwise. If you're not willing to rebreed, Surf / Hydropump Ice Beam Toxic / If you're lucky enough, HP Electric 70 Recover Rest Sleep Talk Surf Ice Beam If you ARE willing to rebreed, Surf Ice Beam / HP Electric 70 Hypnosis / Mirror Coat Recover

Uhh plenty of people are better at melee than brawl. Gimpyfish, notably, who actually gave up on brawl and went back to melee.
  6. Again, I'm not sure why, but the scores aren't consistent. Sometimes I fail 2 and still get 1200+, other times I fail none and get 1180. Also, for Agility, you rarely fail once you get to 70. At 60 or under you can still fail quite a few. Even with 70, you can still mess up 3-4 on occasion. If you really want the Ringmaster's stuff, get 90+ magic, 80+ range, and 70+ agility. Agility seems the easiest, magic seems the hardest despite the fact I have 99 magic already, and many of my friends got 1200+ in range despite 80 - 89 range. I managed to fail 6 times out of 10 with 94 range once though. :wall:
  7. Roll back would return items to the people who died. It would've made a significant difference to maybe 30 - 40 players. Every other player on that server will lose the events of perhaps the last hour or so, seeing as they'd need to roll back multiple back ups as it took them over 15 minutes to stop it. Perhaps 15 to 20 times the amount of players will lose their work in that hour. For those several hundred other players, how would you feel about it? It's between a rock and a hard place. Either a few dozen players suffer, some of them REALLY hard, or most of the players, if not all the players suffer. On top of that there is the issue of precedence. You can not set an example of you rolling back the entire server for a small amount of players who suffered a wrongly caused loss of items. Otherwise every time a player loses something thanks to a bug or glitch, they will demand, and rightfully deserve, a roll back. I personally don't want to play a game where I'm being rolled back once a week, and nothing I do is guaranteed to last. Yes, it's a really painful loss of the victims of the unfortunate glitch. Unfortunately the only real solution hurts way too many others, and has great negative repercussions.
  8. Just FYI, the reason the repeating 99 moves works is because it doesn't count as repetition as long as you do three things in between. You can only do emotes once so, Emote - You can not repeat this. 99 Task #1 - You can not repeat this for the next 3 moves. Emote - Must be a new one, and you still can not repeat 99 Task #1 until you do 2 more tasks. 99 Task #2 - You can not repeat this one for the next 3 moves. 1 task til you can repeat Task #1. Emote - Must be a new one. You must do 2 tasks before you can repeat Task #2, but you can do task #1 again. 99 Task #1 - Rinse and repeat. If you alternate like this you'll get full points. However, if you do your 10 emotes FIRST, you will lose the ability to alternate tasks without point loss. Thus every repeated move will give slightly fewer points. Also, it's worth noting that the scoring isn't consistent. I literally executed this perfectly once, 10/10 magic tasks, and got 1195 points. The time after, I messed up 2 tasks, and yet I score 1350. One of my friends tried it three times and executed it perfectly ever time but hasn't gotten over 950 points yet. This may work for you, this may not. My suggestion is to keep trying this if you want Ringmaster. As for the complaint that this is "cheating", this is really a pretty dull mini game. It's also near impossible to win the highest ranking prizes while following the "normal" method. If your goal is to enjoy the game, then yea, avoid this. But if you just want the Ringmaster's hat (which has an incredibly awesome and secret usage), and that's your only goal, then this method will save you many weeks of frustration.

Oh yea, I don't think I'll be participating in the next tournament. I don't have time, and I'm getting a bit tired of trying to figure out the rules each time, seeing as you guys don't use official tournament rules. I'd rather it not distract me from my schoolwork. I'll make a post if I feel up to joining again.

It's not something to be "fixed". The lag completely ruined my match with Ginger too, it's because he's in UK and everyone else in USA. I literally could not use short hops, half my aerials turned into smashes, and none of my counters worked correctly. I thought these tournaments were USA only... :\ Anyways, sorry for leaving so abruptly yesterday, Ginger won 3-2, and I had a CB team waiting for me so I had to get off the Wii right away and onto RS. Once we got the details worked out, TIF was moving servers and I couldn't post or anything.

So am I supposed to play Ginger now? If so, Ginger, please PM me when you'll be available.
  12. Again, that's not true. In order to be anywhere close to useful, you need to risk several million coins worth of equipment. Otherwise you'll be hitting frequently and not doing any damage. It's better than Dragon Spear, but that's about it. As much as I'd love my leaf bladed sword to have a purpose, it's just not worth it. Guthan's spear makes a far better alternative to Zamorakian spear seeing as so many people have one. And if you can't afford that, then rent a Zamorakian Spear. Also, a Z Spear is only ~1M if you can get it in GE. I've had offers at max price for 4-5 days now, and I've gotten two spears so far (I'm collecting them to sell to my friends who need em.)

Did KcDragon mention when he would be able to find time to get online? :\
  14. Just clarifying some things: 1) We actually don't know for sure whether or not the beast ignores defense. He does during the quest, but that's his spirit form. This MAY hold true for the Corporeal form as well, but with his level being that high, I doubt defense would affect it anyways. 2) Prayer DOES work. His round sphere seems to be magic, the [bleep]y sphere seems to be range, and his up close attack with no other effect is melee. I can't figure out exactly what type his claw is. However, ALL of them have a small chance of hitting through prayer. I've noticed that when I don't protect melee, his melee attack hits me basically every time. When I DO turn on prayer, he hits me maybe once out of some ten tries with his melee attack. So far I can't find any use whatsoever for the summoning prayer that some people here and then use. Also, Leaf Bladed sword seems a bit weak compared to Zamorakian Spear. While 4-iteming, I can get +107 / +97 with Zamorakian Spear, as well as a decent prayer bonus. With Leaf Bladed Sword, Leaf Bladed Sword / Rune Defender +87 / 55 Amulet of Fury +10 / +8 Barrow Gloves +12 / +12 Bandos Plate +0 / +4 Bandos Tassets +0 / +4 Dragon Boots +0 / +4 Berserker Ring +0 / +4 Fire Cape +1 / +4 Neitiznot Helm +0 / +3 All that still only adds to +110 / +98. So unless you want to risk 2 zamorakian spears worth of other items like Berserker Ring, D Boots, etc, Leaf Bladed spear is nowhere close.
  15. Jagex can not control the market. The market is determined by the people who possess, create, or otherwise obtain the product, and the people who desire the product. How many people would sell their whips if Jagex put the GE price down to 100k? Not a darn lot, I wager. 3rd age armor, masks, zamorakian spear, and other items that are impossible to buy are all in the same scenario. They are clearly worth more than the GE value, by the fact that consumers are willing to pay that price. You should no more expect people to trade their 3rd age armor and such on the GE than you would expect yourself to be selling an abyssal whip at 100k if Jagex set that as the GE price.

Any word from Kcdragon yet? :\
  17. Because if you can get past the "kiddiness" of the whole game, and can stand the ridiculously dull storyline, it's one of the best strategy games when playing against other players. It's got a great competitive aspect, VERY flexible, and with such a large metagame, the game is regulated enough that there's quite a bit of variability.
  18. PM me whenever you feel up to it. Although my team failed miserably... so I'm making a new one.
  19. Soma2035 replied to Caxis's topic in Off-Topic
Actually I didn't.. I saved them as drafts x_x.. Since it's my fault for not reminding you guys (Or kc doesn't even want to play) I'll give you until Sunday to finish your match. I'll send a PM (And make sure I don't save it as a draft v.v) to kc and see what he has to say. Alright thanks.

I sent you and kc a PM on Thursday, but neither of you replied back so I assumed both of you were inactive or didn't bother to reply.. Are you sure? I can send you a screenshot of my inbox, I never received a PM from you. I got one PM but it was from some TIF editor who wanted to quote my AOW guide.

Wait why? I've been here every day waiting for a post and asked him to PM me at least once if not more. He hasn't posted at all. EDIT: After searching, I found he's made one post (must have missed that one somehow), which was one sentence on page 120. He didn't even mention our match at all. I'm fine waiting for you two to have a match. But whoever wins, you will face me by this Saturday, so if you wanna do some preparing, it's in your own interests to get the match sorted ASAP. Well, up to now, I still haven't received any indication from Kcdragon that he even knows we're supposed to play... school hasn't started for me so I have plenty of time this week... as I've had plenty of time the past few weeks. :wall:

  23. Oh god Touhoumon :XD: If only the rest of the population knew what you were talking about. We do. At least, I do. :XD:
  24. Does anyone here actually have WFC and a team? I finished another one of my teams... although my lead is failing miserably so far. Probably because out of the first 5 opponents I've had, none of them used one of the "popular" leads that my lead is made to counter. :wall:
  25. - Rayquaza shuts down weather. That can be good or bad. Sand Veil either is good or does nothing. Garchomp wins in ability. - Flying/Dragon takes 25% from SR. Ground/Dragon takes 6.25% from SR. Ground/Dragon gets STAB Earthquake and Outrage. Rayquaza doesn't really get many good STAB Flying attacks. Ground lets it switch in on Thunder (common thanks to presence of Rain) and T-Wave. Garchomp wins in typing. - Garchomp has higher Speed, HP, and Defense. While it's got lower Attack, it's still more than sufficient. Rayquaza does have the option of mixed sweeping and slightly higher attack though. They're fairly even as far as stats go. - Rayquaza wins in movepool, but as far as physical combat goes, they're still even. If you want a special attacker, other than Chain Chomp, you wouldn't pick Chomp anyways. Snorlax does not get Slack Off, but it gets Outrage as well. :wall: Anyways, Garchomp will still probably see some usage in Ubers.
