Money making with merchanting, killing or something else?
While merchanting is an excellant way of making a lot of money quickly, it's also quite risky. Me personally I stick with killing monsters, namely ice warriors and giants, and just high alch any items that would be worth a bit, as well as picking up every coin and rune I get. It all adds up quite nicely in the end. :) ;) This is only because I'm pure F2P. If I was P2P, I might just use my skills instead.

Christmas Eve...Begging Eve?(discuss)
I must say I was disappointed to see the amount of beggars that popped up as the holidays came close in game. Many of the ones I kindly declined to give a present were angry and showed their darker colours... Wasn't a pleasant experience.

stem cell research
Okay guys, keep it clean... It's a good topic, but if you keep attacking each other at this rate, the topic will go terrible. I'm not in the mood to clean out another 1+ of flaming posts. If you're going to debate fine, but personal attacks and vandettas is another story. Take it outside rather than hijacking the thread. Continue as you were, ladies and gents.

Unhappy About "Happy Feet" (Warning, Spoilers!)
Thanksgiving. A time for some to share some good old quality time with loved ones. For others, it's the time to quickly gather up the hard-earned cash you have and line up at a store to get some awesome stuff for bargain prices. For me, it was a time to just go spend some time with my sister, who I haven't seen for several months due to university. After flying back home, it was agreed that we'd go watch "Happy Feet," which came out a short while ago. Some information before I begin talking about my experience of watching "Happy Feet" (from IMDB.com): Movie Title: Happy Feet Director: George Miller Writers: Warren Coleman, John Collee, George Miller, Judy Morris Language: English Length: 108 min (1 Hour, 48 Minutes) MPAA Rating: PG for mild peril and rude humor Additional Note: Movie was dedicated to Steve Irwin Steve Irwin. Great guy who dedicated his life educating people about the animals we share our world with. Should this ring any alarms about this innocent looking movie yet? Naw... Maybe it just says, "Hey, this movie talks bout penguins and their lifestyles! That should be cool! An animated version of "March of the Penguins" right?" Let's check the rating on the movie: According to the MPAA, "Rated PG for some mild peril and rude humor." Hrm, mild peril. Okay... maybe Mumble, the tap-dancing penguin, has to face scary animals. Disney has that in "The Lion King" and "The Little Mermaid." That should be okay for kids. Rude humor? I'm assuming that coincides with a joke like "He touched the butt!" in "Finding Nemo," also from Disney... ~SPOILERS~ "Happy Feet" is about a penguin named Mumble (voiced by Elijah Wood) who couldn't sing, but had a knack for tap-dancing. His father, Memphis (voiced by Hugh Jackman), dropped him while he was still in his egg while his mother, Norma Jean (voiced by Nicole Kidman) was out fishing, and was the cause of Mumble's "problem." His dancing was not accepted, "not penguin" as Memphis put it. Mumble has his heart set on Gloria (voiced by Brittany Murphy), but without a song he can't get her... But still... Mumble and Gloria are swimming in the water; they jump outta the water and land up in weird positions on top of each other, against each other... Here's a blunt way of putting it: they landed up in various intimate positions. :shame: There were little kids in the room, laughing, but the older people in the theatre were going, "Oh my god." Some gasped in surprise, others just stared dumbfounded. Rude humor? More like crude. >_< And then, the "peril." BOOM! Big scary bird! BOOM! Big scary sea lion! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! "Mommy! I want to go home!" I hear a kid say. Poor kid, I know how you feel... I jumped a few times, too... We get a penguin surrounded by ladies, stereotypical penguins, religious penguins... AAAAAHHHH! What is this?! This is PG and we're watching a movie about rebellion to religion, stereotypes of the people around us, AND sexual themes? When I cited that the movie was dedicated to Steve Irwin, there was a reason. Towards the end of the movie, it was an attempt to make it political, to tell people, "Hey, we got a problem down in Antarctica. Penguins need the fish and we're taking it all. Save them!" Personally, I don't think Steve Irwin would've liked how the movie took this turn from how one penguin didn't know how to sing and then switching plots to "saving the penguins." Respecting his legacy is one thing, but to dedicate a movie to him that seems to be a weak attempt of following it is another. Why not stick with something more realistic? "March of the Penguins" did a much better job, I think, in capturing the penguin life, which is what Irwin did with the animals he's handled and filmed with. No need for fancy schmancy in the beginning of his shows to draw viewers. This movie was just a disgustingly underhanded way of putting out an opinion. Thumbs down for "Happy Feet" for me.

Whats the nastiest thing you've done to someone?
Hrm.... thinking back, I think the nastiest (meaniest) thing I did was probably swinging my thermos bottle at this guy that constantly picked on me in elementary school... Used to always run away, but then I decided to chase him in revenge with my "weapon." Of course, I got in trouble. The guy never did get in trouble despite all my reports and the fact people saw him chasing me. Just imagine a Kindergarten girl chasing a big fifth grader. I think you can see just how bad it was the other way around before.

Kramer's Racist Remarks.
At least he got himself to make an apology and not have a publicist do it for him. To me, that just means more. Some criticize that his apology stunk and that it could've been better. However, they missed the point that he he at least made such an apology, and hopefully his PR skills will eventually hone in to make a "better apology" if he desires. We've seen that Mel Gibson apologized several times for his remarks when he was arrested, and it's likely that Richards would be doing the same, although from what I can tell, the media has more or less gone, "Meh, show's over. The guy apologized. NEXT!" :|

drinking ages
While the actual legal age is 21 in the US, there are some states which allow minors to drink under the supervision of someone who is legal (some are 16, some are 18), with the exception of religious practices. Personally I would rather have it stay at 21. I'm not old enough to drink, but after seeing others around me do it, and smelling it, I'm really not looking forward to trying it ever. =; Just keep that stuff away from me, thank ya.

Ps3 Sells for $15,000 on eBay
*Looks at the quiet EB Games next to her university.* From what I've been reading on the news, people that aren't even INTERESTED in buying the game stood in line anyway to sell their spots to others wanting to get one... One couple got $2,500 and gave up their 49th place in the line. Not interested in buying the PS3 myself. Plus $600... yeesh! That's like a term's worth of books for me haha.

One giant step for home entertainment!
Hehe I used to have a toy model of those phones. The helmet itself seems very... excessive. Sure some people like big screen TVs and big houses, but to wear a fish bowl as some put it on your head to experience a good 'bout of fun? Not my idea of fun really... Plus think of the sound! If that has sound basically trapped inside the helmet, and someone turns it up really high, we could have some damaged ears, not to mention probably damaged eyes. =P I'll stick with my good ol' PC and game consoles thanks. :P
