  1. I'm not famous. :uhh:
  2. In otherwords, there are some (keyword is "some;" not "all" or "most" but "some") people who are acting like sheep or turkeys. If it rains and one looks up, they all look up. :wall: #-o In this case, I'm willing to blame time. As the game continues on to achieve popularity, you're dealing with people who have simply no idea what it was like on RuneScape Classic. You tell them about it and they think it's a completely different game and not the pre-evolved version of the RuneScape of today. People are discovering things that seem amazing to them while for the older ones it may seem bland, nothing spectacular. Sure, those of us who were around at the time woke up when certain players achieved goals for the first time, but after that we settle right back into the "that's nothing new" mode. All I can say is we're just gonna have to deal with it. We're all getting "older" and more "younger" players are coming into the game discovering these "new" things and post about it. Note the quotation marks. It gets tiresome for those who have been in the RuneScape community for a long time to see post after post after post about Zezima (no offense) or about how long someone's played. Patience is a virtue. :-#
  3. Agreed here. That attitude is no different from the P2P vs F2P attitude. :( For the most part for me, I just feel out of place, like I'm trapped in another era because RuneScape has gone through so many changes...
  4. Typo! :P Ah well we all can't be perfect. :
  5. Between 17 and 25 somewheres... #-o
  6. http://web.archive.org/web/200104130300 ... runescape/ Found this so far... found it funnny how Community is spelled wrong. :P And here is the lovely forum: http://web.archive.org/web/200106031534 ... orum=26&16 Hope that helps! :)
  7. Besty & Leo: Yep, been a VERY long time. Hope you guys are doing well! ^_^ Am just dealing with the "oh my god, two more years or so before I graduate from university eek" situation these days. :ohnoes: I dropped out of existence here and there. MSN address had to be changed sometime after I returned from an overseas trip cuz it locked up. #-o *Points at Profile for new MSN addy.* :)
  8. I guess you can decided... I'm Pure F2P so meh. :P 99 Woodcutting 99 Defense 97 Hits 96 Firemaking 96 Attack 95 Strength 94 Cooking 88 Fishing 86 Mining 81 Range All other stats are 77 and below except for P2P skills which are all level 1.
  9. Wow! Congrats to Mel on going to Stanford! :D I just went over there to visit a few weeks ago. Lovely campus and in a very convenient location. ^^ Horray for wedding bells for Tina! :) Please send my regards!
  10. :| I've watched the community gone for moderately nice to plain awful staying F2P for so long. Of course, the community has grown and that means lots of new people and unfortunately a lot of different attitudes along with it, bad and good. It seems that we've gotten a lot more bad too. #-o I've been finding myself telling people to try reading the manual and guides for help on the RuneScape site since i didn't want to flood the chat with a full explaination on how to do a quest or how to make stuff. Plus a lot of stuff I don't remember or can't keep up with as I've done all the quests except Rune Mysteries of course on RuneScape Classic. And I get yelled at and get called names for really no reason. :wall: Then the whole "stats" issue, which I'm sure occurs on P2P as well. When someone asks for my stats, I ask them to look it up on high scores (otherwise, no point in having them...). Get yelled at again... A lack of common courtesy, respect is what I see. :( Plus just laziness in a way. How can anyone stand looking at over 10 lines of describing what to do with a censor that bleeps things out half the time, AND try to read between other people's conversations is beyond me. :wall:
  11. Fished 30,000 lobsters... F2P only that is. ^^; I saved so much money and got so many cooking levels rofl.
  12. Welcome back. : Hope you have fun building that house!
  13. Full Saradomin Armour. ^^
  14. Sometimes I spend time trying to talk to the macroers when bored. I've noticed that many have Mandarin (Chinese dialect) sounding names so I usually just ramble away in Mandarin to see if they'd respond. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. Am guessing when they do it's automated, but now and again I get one guy who says that he wishes he could talk but hardly anyone on RS speaks Chinese so he stays silent. :(
  15. From what I've found so far, World of Warcraft has a couple novels out. Dunno how good they are or how much they relate back to the game itself. If a novel does come out for RuneScape, it may focus more on history first before an actual "oh no level up the skill" situation (without the numbers; think of it as an apprentice learning a skill and later mastering it before continuing on to the next task).
  16. Might have to pay a bit more than that :) Naturally. :P But I don't wanna go into that whole list of stuff. If Jagex does hire someone to do it for them, no problem. :)
  17. If someone writes a novel/comic/etc. based on RuneScape and want to see it, they have to pay Jagex royalties.
  18. When people say I'm a member or was a member becuase of my mime gloves or mime boots.
  19. Hehe. It reminds me of Lord Jake's signature. :D
  20. I found that even at 120 training on Ankou and Lesser Demons is just a waste of time and food. I did a lot better with Ice Giants and Ice Warriors, as well as Moss Giants personally. :?
  21. I'd just stick with the old recovery system. :) I'm in no mood to deal with having my account locked as a result of "character sharing" if I managed to "hack" it back.
  22. Wow, talk about strange. (Picture does not appear to be fake considering the fact there are other people on the screen running around. :P)
  23. As far as I know, Jagex does take racism just as seriously as all other offensive language reports (including sexual harassment, etc.). In terms of asking for one's ethnicity, I don't think that's against the rules... :-k I know that in some places or for some people, calling someone "black" is not always offensive. However, if you were to call someone "red" or "yellow," one can expect a good bit of yelling. This is an issue when it comes to having something international. You try to set a standard of what's good and what's bad, but in the end you simply cannot cover everything.
  24. It's a shame to see how the RuneScape player community has developed over the years. If there is anything to blame, it's just people themselves. If you want to be considered "powerful and mighty," sometimes just being polite is enough. It's not whimpy to say thanks. It's not whimpy to ask for help. It's not whimpy to team up with players to PK in the wild. It is whimpy when you stoof yourself to use racial slurs, inappropriate language, etc. just to make yourself look "cool."
  25. Mysterious Old Man with the box. :wall: I hate that box. :wall:
