  1. i agree that the dorgeshun stuff was mighty useless, but somehow i doubt having to pay for a degrading weapon would stop people using it... a melee weapon that, if perhaps slow (hally speed) it could have a similar or higher str to the anchor (at 10/10 charge). there is also the bonus of being able to safe-spot monsters. having to pay for barrows didn't stop people using the best melee defence in the game, that 'pay as you go' cost just made the armour cheaper than dragon and 3rd age. (although 3rd age is admittidly rarer)
  2. i was wondering the same thing, as i tried this yesterday... [hide=my little input, no need to read]at the 52nd wave, (360,180,45,45) i ran out of time (two hours to get this far not wasting all that...). so i decided to risk logging out. i had not started the wave just killed the last monster of the previous, and logged out after gettin to the safe zone before killing anything... yes i know it was silly to risk the lv 360s, but the safe zone means they are unlikely to be able to get me straight away (if i was killed i would only start agian the next day) however, when i logged in today (slighly anxious to get prayer back on FAST) i came back very annoyed after appearing on OUTSIDE the pit, with NO TOKKUL. (thus wasting two hours, 3 c bow charges and several pots)[/hide] basically, all in the hidden bit says the 'saved game' idea did not work... although tipit, and presumably runescape, says that you stay in the cave so, to continue with the query, how does this 'saved game' idea work. do i log out half way through the current wave (after killin one or two monsters), or what? *note* sorry to use your post sanno, but i think we are after the same thing

  5. hmm, seems to me like all alot of you guys are doing is complaining at people who are trying their hardest against overwhelming odds. tipit's adds may be strongly based around these illegal sites. but like others have said, for every rs gold site that they remove, a further 10 website adds pop up. google cannot stop it as they are only providing a place for the sites to advertise on, no responsibility there. jagex ban 8000 a week, and thats a substantial amount. however, the 6bill gp clearly shows why these companies are massing, with little care for the banning-> lets say its $7:00 per mil (what the adds say). now 6 thousand million is $42000 (̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã21000 for us brits). imagine that, 42 thousand dollars from getting a 100 or so underpayed workers to use computers in a week. perhaps what jagex need is a whole office devoted to anti gold farming... overall, i say well done to jagex for admitting their problem that has been on a rapid increase lately. its a shame that no matter how hard they try, and whatever they do, there is still so many of you who want to push em harder.

You sure about that? 99 wc isn't easy for me to obtain... i think he means some skills are easier to skill. combat in particular (pest control), and cooking for a less new example (cook-x) and wc is getting a little easier compared to last year the improved drag axe and the lumberjack outfit for example
  7. you could say this about all of the acheivement capes tbh... after learning the best way to train (very easy with the amount of guides now), the only difference to quests is that skills take a hell of a lot more time and tediousness, require ample money to do effectively, and require little thought once you get going. there are a few excpetions such as slayer however, but after the first 4 or 5 similar slayer tasks, you can work it out from there unfortunately, there is no way of showing those who use quest guides and the newer faster methods of training (pc for example); compared to the people who got 99 in rsc or finished quests with no help. if there was a way to prove if you HAD completed quests like desert treasure or mourning ends on ya own (including me \ ), id say the quest cape would mean so much more than just being prepared to click-point-click-point youre way to 99
  8. a good times, and controversial as always : i think that although the ditch is a good idea, the old message of "do not enter, you will die" (close enough) was sufficient to stop you walking in with your treasured purple cr̮̩̉̉pe-paper hat. graphic-wise, the ditch is a hidious nightmare. those guys at jagex could have at least made it go with its surroundings... unfortunately, there are more idiots and gullible fools (and complainers) in runescape than people who are bright enough to read the "you will die" notice... and for the password thingy, im sure 50% of peeps have tried by now. a famous author (i believe it was terry pratchett) once wrote: im sure this is quite fitting
  9. +1 my oppinion is the same, for unlike the wildy ditch, the prospect of these bracelets has been around for the past month (behind the scenes). although rares were at a slight drop anyway, the idea that these obby braclets are gunna be good value means that rares will drop (a bit). besides, compared to the great depression after the release of construction, 1.5m isnt that much :XD: also, if you notice at world 2, quite a lot more people are trying to sell their santas. i for one spent a few hours yesterday patienly trying to flog off mine to afford a blue mask...
  10. my best without dharok was like 45 with anchor at the skellys in the stronghold of security. i had 85str, drag b axe spec, and the savle(e) ammy. no picy tho :(
  11. +1 also, when jagex says 'as rare as...' i dont think they mean the odds are the same, just that getting a chain is as rare as a rare thing on a rare day... the odds are quite possibly the same as odds of getting a chain from a dusty, but there are fewer winners as nobody wants to risk it
  12. i prefer scimmy, but i do enojoy whamming the odd 35-38s now and again with that anchor i find the scimmy better than the whip too, i can sometimes unleash several high 20s with one compared to a whipper of equal combat rarely hiting 25+
  13. thats wierd, i have private and public chat on all the time (exept world 2) being lv 99 and wearing my guthans, cw armour, santa or whatever i fancy at the time, i never get called a nerd... i admit spending to much time playing somedays... i guess some people are just unlucky
  14. lol i have only ever had 2 drill demons :( i got full emotes, full zombie (dropped before costume room ) and SO MANY SPINACH ROLLS (i should try collecting) those two drill demons were when the camo was still tradable, i got like 300k for top and bottom \ . never had since... *edit* oh yeah, i got like 20 tele error in 30 lunar teles yesterday (collecting snape for ppots). i hate it when you get a tonne of randoms in one go... (sorry for the off topicness)

  16. although i personally believe that if you are stupid enough to walk into the wildy with a phat you deserve to lose it, luring is still wrong well done on jagex for removing a strong 'moaning point' in the game, and increasing the harmless fun aspect \ oh, and i rarley use white lies in rl - i find it easier to tell it to someone straight, offensive or not
  17. yeah, im gunna try and make a program that works simlarly to the way the wildy map works (turn on/off multi zones) i have no idea how to do it, but my bro is a tech wizz : he made the program which made my sig (check out the link below the sig) ill also sort the transport things in seperate groups, such as free/not free or 'direct routes'/'whereever to point' routes if anyone can give a good word to descibe the last two, please tell me :oops: i hope ya know what i mean: e.g. gnome gliders are at set points, while the ectophial can be used anywhere...
  18. Is there a guide on this? I've been meaning to find out how to do it for quite some time now its kinda simple, in the control panbel, theres acceibility options. then go to mouse tab and turn on MouseKeys or you could use the shrotcut ALT + left SHIFT + NUM LOCK keys
  19. hmm, it seems like teleporting is a huge part of the runescape, with opposite sides of the map just seconds away; compared to other games (i.e. WoW) when large parts of the map need patience to travel. slightly off my original topic, though one that seems popular - when i make the guide, how big do you want the map to be? is what i have too small or big?
  20. yeah, i didnt incluye the wilderness as it is not in the main tip.it map :P when i make the guide i plan on a checklist to select all chosen transort routes, so only ones you can do are displayed i will aslo seperate 'direct' transports and 'a to b' transport (i hope that makes sense)
  21. hi, thanks for the replys :) sorry in didnt answer sooner... firstly, it took me about an hour to make in paint shop pro (MANY layers) secondly, do you think i should make a guide about it? i only made it to show just how much teleporting people to... thirdly - the other teles are unique things such as ectophial, skul skeptre, and that pyramid plunder thing (whatever its called) i would make it show only certain dots when chosen (if i knew how :oops: ) and then i could add nonmagical teleports without blotching out the map completely...
  22. i had a little extra time waiting for my ranarrs to grow, and decided to make a teleport map: basicly, i lotated the telespots of all magic related transportation, and stuck it on the tip.it map with a small 'catchment area' around it (circles off the map are places not on tip.its world map - it kinda needs updating :P) i was surprised at the amount of actual teleports, which looks like pretty confetti if i remove the map itself: now, my reason of this topic... [*:3meci7nj]think about this many magical teleports... [*:3meci7nj]then add the wilderness... [*:3meci7nj]then add those things that i have missed... [*:3meci7nj]then add the non magical transportation (ships, gnomegliders, etc)... the map gets quite full really. now what would we do if these teleports were not there? anyone who has done the 'one small favour' quest knows that the map takes a lot of walking to cross... how would you cope if you had not completed all of these quests and bonuses? imagine trecking from al kharid to the gnome village for a clue without the aerial gnomes... discuss :) jonno

  24. i chose these colours for one reason - these are the colours that most people say NOT to use, e.g. the brightest boldest reds/blues/greens. pictures tend to look more realistic if you use colours from the middle of the pallette, which is mentioned in many pixel guides that i have seen. actually, 95% of this tut means that you have ALOT les to do when you update your skills: in paint: to make make sig - 1hour+ (as long as you want) add numbers - 10mins save and upload - 5mins total: 15mins + sig time to update change numbers - 10 mins save and upload - 5mins total: 15mins with program to make make sig and save- 1hour+ (as long as you want) make numbers and save- 20mins use program and upload - 5mins total: 25mins + sig time to update use program and upload - 5mins total: 5mins to summarise, although it innitially takes a little longer to make all the numbers, once thats done, just a few clicks on the program mean all the numbers are entered in the same layout the auto updating sigs are a future possibility, and soon my bro is making a version that sends the image to where ever you want, even some webspace if you have it - meaning the sig will update each time you use the program. if anyone else has any suggestions to improve the program, dont hesitate to post - we could do with some CONSTRUCTIVE feedback...
  25. just checking the replies - gosh it seems that the gallerys readers are a lot harder to please than the 'player made guides' peeps -.- hmm, have you checked my troubleshooting bits? if it still dont work, send a message to [email protected] what you mean exactly? the idea is YOU design it so YOU make it. i just made a basic template to demonstrate - with enough inspiration, im sure you can make it look as good as you want... yes, but every time you level, youll have to re-update the image. with this program, an update is just a few clicks away. you can make your numbers by hand too, so they look prettier than the average font. i thought that doing some work at first rather constant updating would be better... this guide was intending to replace the [cabbage] draynor stat sigs, give some originality AND ease.
