  1. Japan and Iran object to being forgotten about in the African Colonization Crusades. EDIT: The Japanese assault force has hooked up with the Iranian troops enroute, and are currently blockading Mombasa, with landings to begin when darkness falls. We are not expecting large casualties, and happily the Japanese and Iranian troops are bonding well. Once Mombasa falls, we will commandeer the airport there for military purposes until our conquest of the country is complete. We conservatively estimate to have the country under our control within 2 years, and at least 60% of the country (excluding the capital) within a year. The battle plan is to control the trade routes in and out of the country first, using blitzkrieg-similar tactics and isolating the capital, where we expect the majority of Kenya's army will be.
  2. Also, Evil Mumm Ra tends to post one update a day. I'm happy with how he plays. EDIT: Just reflecting on how the superpowers of this have turned out. The SAR dissoluted (I think that's a word? xD) pretty quickly, the IAC never did anything cool and now China has failed, I don't think Russia is that interested either sadly. The only superpower still going is the European Confederacy, and they don't seem to have any direction either. I'd say the countries which seem to be doing the most are Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, Norway, Israel, Eygpt, Luxembourg, Taiwan, to some degree Iran and of course, the lovely Japan. If we can keep at least this number going for a few more weeks, as well as some stragglers along the way, I'll be damn happy. FURTHERMORE: Lol, my past 4 (5?) posts have been edited.
  3. Thanks for clearing that up guys. @Nick, I only said it because I'm the same colour on the key as Iran. It's not a big deal, but potentially confusing to someone. EDIT: Also, I'm SURE that's the TF2 font. If so, I commend ye.
  4. @Doom, what values are we using for billion and trillions here? In Britain, our billion is one digit smaller than the American one (At least, I think so?). I decided to work as 1,000 million is 1 billion, as I think that's the norm. Going by this, is 1,000 billion 1 trillion? Sorry for newbiness! EDIT: I prefer your (Doom) idea about China. FURTHERMORE: It's plausible that the cost could be dramatically reduced (and perhaps the process even sped up) if instead of working on a space shuttle/station/whatever, a space elevator was set up first. However, the research needed for this.. would be huge (All info taken from Wiki though, so yeah.)
  5. @Nick, When were those troops dispatched? I don't remember reading that. Also, nice map, but I'm the wrong colour in your key :P EDIT: Also, I think it's more reasonable if China isn't "gone" but as I suggested a few pages ago, has fallen into such anarchy that for a few years (say 10) at least, it would be suicide to enter the country where tens of military groups are vying for power.
  6. As per this article, Argentina, Canada, India, and Norway can all produce Heavy Water. So if you didn't know about it and you're leader of those countries, bam, there you go ;) Ok, I'll just assume norway will make it for me since they are our partners. Can you work any of that research magic on who can produce tritium? According to wikipedia; According to this article; So presumably, you could either work on modifying the plants in Norway, or you could work out some kind of deal with Canada. EDIT: After realising I misread Japan's research budget, (I thought it was a measly 150 million. Turns out it's 130 billion.) I can afford to up the amount I've donated to 500 million.
  7. As per this article, Argentina, Canada, India, and Norway can all produce Heavy Water. So if you didn't know about it and you're leader of those countries, bam, there you go ;) EDIT: After further reading on Wikipedia, it seems that Iran, Pakistan, Romania, France and the US are also all producers.
  8. Japan will donate $5 million from our research budget. More will follow if results come.
  9. Can I use a part of Kenya as a military training base, to prepare troops to defend their homeland and all? Hell, we should practice attacking together. Like, as one unit. After the initial attack we can do whatever with the land.
  10. After reviewing the map quickly, Japan has dispatched a naval fleet to Kenya, carrying our new aircraft carrier and 50,000 of our new troops - somewhat as a training exercise. We do plan on invading the entire country, but carving out a nice little slice. As seems to be the norm. They should arrive by the end of the year.
  11. All the leaders were assassinated by an unknown terrorist group. Country has fallen into anarchy with no clear leader and multiple groups vying for power. Let the pillaging commence.
  12. It's NK developing antimatter, and for energy, not for war.. 6 months on after the last update on Japan... A strain of Verde Soylante has been created which helps to combat pollution, we're currently giving them away free to citizens of Japan and will be giving a limited number to our allies as we continue tests on them. Additionally, thanks to the original strain, and the lower density of Japan's people, the population has increased by about three million in the past few years. The military has gained another 50,000 personnel, who are being diverted into the navy to help staff our new aircraft carrier, named, "Tigger" (I know right?!) as well as our nuclear submarines when they are completed. Around 15 Eurofighters have been completed, bringing our total fixed-wing aircraft to 194. Around 4,000 new pilots are being trained as well, as our military budget expands. We've managed to increase how much power we get from wind energy to 11%, reducing petroleum as our power source down to just 10%. As a result of our alliance with Israel and Iran, we are not short of oil and are paying them a small fee for the oil they have provided. The "sea wall" has been completed and the first "CeeCity" currently has 17 buildings, but nobody lives there permanently yet - more tests are being carried out to determine how safe it is. More mountainous area has been cleared of forests, around 25% of the forests pre-takeover are now cut down. We intend to slow the cutting now, and focus more on the military. Already 10,000 of the workers from the forestry industry are applying for jobs within the military. Japan is pleased with it's alliances with Iran and Israel, and hopes to continue ties with these two countries long into the future. Japan is also dissapointed with the level of activity from China and Russia. If you've taken the awesome cities, please give us the courtesy of posting a meaningful update every once in a while! Japan, out! <3
  13. If this offer is accepted, then Japanese scientists will take part also, providing that Venezuela is somewhat secretive about their discoveries outside of the institute.
  14. 45% seems a high number. The cells will be given to you if you agree to neutrality towards all Japan's actions in the future.
  15. I think you mean Iran is allied with Israel. :P
  16. Japan is allied with Iran. Verde Soylante has been despatched. Good times.
  17. Two things. First Ross, I pm'd you. Second, see how it says "YOUR" country, in a quote of me? Mmmhm.
  18. If by there you mean Hawaii, then Israel knows that. The Israeli navy is speeding towards New York World City place thingy. That would be in America. In the highest populated city in the US. More people live there than in your entire country. Plus I doubt the US military usually likes navies sailing towards them. I'm glad to see you follow who's who.
  19. If by there you mean Hawaii, then Israel knows that. The Israeli navy is speeding towards New York World City place thingy.
  20. How can he when he's dead? Here's how it works. Our estemed Hegemon died, in an accident with some T-Rex, and he brought down his deathray lasers to kill the dinosaurs. (Stupid idea, since when can a gun not kill an animal?) Anyway, without him here, it's up to the nations of the world to enforce laws. How are you going to do that when the bastard looking at your country evily has nukes and anti-matter? EDIT: Latios, are you interested in joining the IAC? We're the Asian superpower, currently consisting of China, Russia and Japan (myself). We support each other with techs, and in the event of a war I'm fairly sure the plan is to stick together. Japanese labour could help construct the LHC!
  21. Yes. Also, You cannot be serious. What's the point in even trying to get ahead when this rule, coupled with army cannot be bigger than population, in any war of attrition the smaller countries are doomed? History teaches us the most advanced civilizations come out stronger - why are we trying to play some fairplay game? The world isn't fair. Also, wtf, dinosaurs? Seriously.
  22. thats cool LOLLLLLLLL "THIS IS SPARTA OBJECTION!" priceless video I broke my laughbox at the objection.
  23. :wall: You don't know the first thing about Communism if you plan to feed your people and treat them well. :) You're an idiot. Don't you see that he's snowball? Moving on. Japan's sea based wall is nearly completion, over 80% has been completed and the seas surrounding Japan are much calmer now. This has also boosted our fishing industry, which has seen a 5% increase since the walls construction began. Plans to create the floating cities are being formated, and we hope to begin construction within one year. Around 20% of Japan's forests have been cleared, 8% of which has been replanted with Verde Soylante, and another 2% of which now has housing on. Unemployment numbers less than 100,000 now, with active military personnel reaching over 500,000 for the first time in a few decades. With 300,000 new recruits, 80,000 of these are still in their first year of training, 100,000 are starting their second, and 120,000 have completed their training. Around 600 of these are exceptional and have been drafted somewhere else. Having worked on Nuclear power quite closely, Japanese scientists have drawn up blueprints for four Nuclear submarines. They are all expected to be completed within two years. Japan's first aircraft carrier is also nearing completion, having been modified from our Hy?ga class "helicopter destroyers" (somewhat a light aircraft carrier) Our military has 179 fixed-wing aircraft and 135 helicopters, but most of these are for use in anti-submarine or mine warfare. Plans for additional aircraft are being discussed within the MoD. Research into the Verde Soylante has progressed nicely, and it's genetic structure has been distributed to members of the IAC and Israel providing they do not release the contents of it's code for one full year. If they break this deal, Japan will cut all deals with them. We're also working with a strain of the plant that appears to consume more carbon dioxide than the majority of plans. More news on that as we discover it. With more solar panels being distributed, solar energy now takes up a whopping 20% of our total power. Of the other 80%, 8% is Wind Energy, 20% from coal, 14% Natural gas, 25% Nuclear and only 13% petroleum. Tokyo recently celebrated "We love the Overlord day". (Geddit?)
  24. [hide=Israeli Schools] Japan shall take this opportunity to discontinue trade for the seed. We have stocks of it from the earlier deal, and we see no use in waiting for Argentinian scientists for more seeds and then having to buy them - our own scientists will research the seed and then give the "secrets" to the IAC and my allies. Then, after another year, the genetic code will be released to the world in a peaceful move. Awesome! I get seeds. :) Japan, I hope research of the seeds goes well. I will be sending some of my scientist to assist you. My Israeli/Palestinian/Lebanese students are giving high remarks of their college educations. They are telling me that they soon will improve our buildings and have now a step ahead in Thermal energy and cleaning salt water better than the Americans! Pretty soon my countries' energy will be in tip top shape! While the educational sector in Japan is being improved, I would like to send "a few" of my "bright, young minds" to the Israeli states to be educated among the best. Seems like a nice way of solidifying our alliance. Japan progresses as planned. Nothing unexpected occuring. Yet. We're second behind you already. 8-) We'll use them to improve our both Israel and Lebanons' colleges and universities. Thanks. We'll soon have the best young students in the world! Nuclear Submarine building is going as planned. Everything is on schedule! [/hide] You just made them sound so good. :( I'm going to post another detailed update on Japan in the morning.
