Well, duh. Also, the game. (Wiki though? I hope it's not an advanced essay.) -
No, not everyone is unique. If you play through the game achieving the same goals as your peers, doing the same quests, the same boss hunting, playing in the same way - then sorry, you're not unique. Just because it's you controlling the character does not make you unique. Unique is doing something outside the box. Cabbage bombing. Playing how you want, regardless of the norm. Personally, I'm proud of my 92k cabbages.

The imperial throne of Japan is wondering if you would like to take a job as our resident jester? (Would India like to join the Asian coalition?) EDIT: I should like to draw attention to one of the many phenomenons occurring in Japan since I became ruler.

[hide=IAC quote train] I agree completely. With my technology and economy coupled with your considerable human resources, our alliance would be incredibly strong. If Russia were to join us too, then we would be free to control Asia as is our right. Then I would like to alliance with Japan. I already have a couple alliances, I hope 3 isn't too many. If I want another alliance I'll probably consider dropping another country I have allianced. I think we need to focus on gaining alliance with Russia and creating some sort of Asian superforce. But only if necessary to defend from the other forces. Now I'll really get off tif for the night. Dungeonal can create a name for the Asians if he wants and I'll see in the morning. In regards with Russian alliance, I will agree as so long if no one of the countries in the group takes total power as being the "best one" and that in the even of war due to a western country against one of our countries, we will help our own. [/hide] The alliance offer is genuine from me. I would never betray my Asian brothers to the poncy Europeans or anywhere for that matter. This is why I suggest a coalition: Of course, during wartime, our militaries would have to be headed by one man. I have no issue with his nationality, so long as his loyalty to the coalition is proved. EDIT: After a year's building (trying to go intime with Doom, not sure how accurate I am!) the sea-wall around Japan has been worked on by 1.8 million Japanese citizens, and currently no offers of foreign help have been outstretched. Similarly, the timber industry has a work force of around 800,000. This is a great improvement on the unemployment statistics last year. This still leaves around 1 million unemployed though, and it has been agreed by the Japanese high council that our main focus for jobs now should be our military. To complete our goals, an utter rewriting of the Japanese constitution is in the works. Currently, there are no military secrets, and all our personnel are "technically" civilians. We are going to make the military more official, as well as more secretive. Interestingly, during wartime, the chain of command is headed by myself - the Prime Minister of Japan. This somewhat makes my job easier. Furthermore, my alliance with Israel has proved lucrative. After combining a portion of our scientists, we have made a break through in the world of Solar energy, drastically increasing the output of commercial solar panels. The new panels are being introduced into Tokyo with immediate effect, my goal reducing pollution by at least 10% in what some people know as the "most polluted city in the world". Using the back up funds from the treasury, we have also purchased and distributed the vaccines discovered by the Hegemony earlier this year. 80% of Japanese citizens living in towns or cities have been vaccinated, and the number is expected to rise to 100% within the next 6 months. We currently have a team of fourty government officials scouring the country for the obscure settlements not on the map, or even just in a hard to reach location, to provide them with the vaccine. This also has the added bonus of us discovering where more Japanese citizens are located should wartime threaten our country. Following the formation of the IAC with China (and talks with Russia are going well), national pride has swelled, and "National Foundation Day" on the 11th of February passed with huge parades and fireworks all right. The Japanese people are more motivated, and our production output has increased, amazingly bolstering our economy by 2%.

Why don't we roll with the Imperial Asian Coalition? IAC isn't a bad acronym, and I like the idea of our governments working together as a coalition does - setting aside our differences for the greater good.

Wonderful, as I am now officially confirmed to be the overlord of Japan, I shall begin the process. Firstly, the current unemployment rate in Japan is 5.2%. The labour force consisted of 67 million in 2001, however this was shrinking. I shall assume it has shrunk to around 63 million, and with the unemployment level at 5.2%, this gives me around 3.5 million workers to use on both the creation of "land" (more on this later) and the forestry plan. The forestry plan is simple. We cut, we sell, we replant. While the total profit is not as high as I had hoped, the sudden rush of workers to previously uninhabited land causes working towns to pop up in the small areas within the forests that are habitable. This has numerous effects. Firstly, there is a slight decrease in the density of the population in major cities. The appearance of the towns also bolsters the economy a little. The "land" will be floating buildings and such, a little bit more extreme than venice. To prevent them falling over so to say, a giant wall of some sort must be built in the water surrounding Japan. I must emplore the leaders of the world to see this as merely an economical and social move, not an act of war (even in defence). -- Beyond the economy, the military of Japan exists as this A long with a small budget of just under $50 billion. As I stated in my original plan, this cannot be allowed to continue. There is a slight loophole, as the SDF (Self-Defence Forces) are defined as the "highest organ of state power". I will carry this loop hole forwards, changing the law to allow more personnel, more weapons and more research. Japan will not be a push over. Furthermore, in an attempt to hurry the pace of the building and timber work existing in Japan, I am opening my arms to the first country with a labour surplus, suggesting a trade exchange. I offer work to your citizens, and in return you agree to support me should a threat arise. However, I stress that Japanese citizens will be thought of first where jobs are available. This will of course all be funded by the Japanese economy, which is the "second largest" in the world. With my new plans, I hope to push the US off their pedastal and establish Japan as number one. Thank you for your time. EDIT: After a quick brush up of the posts made during my writing, I emplore the asian states (specifically Russia and China) to join together with me, in a mutual defensive pact for the time being, so that we do not fall behind the EC and SAR in the "race". After further thought, I extend my invitation to the countries of Australasia as well. You seem rather lonely down there. FURTHERMORE: The Imperial state of Japan is now allied with Israel. It is the belief of myself that this alliance will benefit the Japanese people achieve the aims I have set out for the country.

Wonderful. Fingers crossed the deal goes through!

I don't believe Japan has been taken yet. I couldn't see it on the most recent map, and I don't recall reading anyone taking it while I read through the thread. This is the plan. According to Wikipedia, Japan comprises of 6,852 islands. This is detrimental to our growth, and it is of my opinion that the construction of additional "land" to connect these islands will be beneficial to the Japanese people. This will be the main economical project performed by the government. As our prime researchers have been hired by the Supreme Hegemony, all our educational institutions shall be dramatically improved. Japanese minds will be enhanced through the magical lore of Japan. Furthermore, our military is currently restricted by Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution. This renounces our right to declare war. Clearly, this is not a good thing. I wish to amend the constitution, putting Japan more into a position of power - as well as looking more appealing to potential allies. As well as Japan consisting mainly of islands, up to 80% of Japan is forest or mountainous. Clearly, an easy solution to unemployment is to chop these forests down. While this could be damaging to the enviroment, it also provides potential new scientists with work - developing an "antidote". Of course, until such an antidote is procured, Japanese forest workers would work carefully, so the forests did not dissapear. Of course, if someone else has grabbed Japan then I shall come up with another plan for a different country. Unless I'm too late altogether, and that really would be a disaster.

Then they would be calling for gullible 11-16 year olds. Which most 11-16 year olds are to some extent. No.

LOL. my brother was playing with a candle and it accidentally leaked into the bed. after a few minutes, the fire was tremendous and it was all over the left side of the bed. it took about 30 minutes to completely wash off and clean everything and after that, my mom got pissed off at both of us (even though i didn't do anything). the consequence was, i had to raise both of my hands for a few hours. The consequence of mine, is that some bastard smashed my lego fire engine. Again, I am telling the truth. One burnt out mattress, and a smashed fire engine.

Quite clearly off his face. If you pay attention to Gerhard, you'll see he doesn't talk like we do. He considers subscribers to be everyone, paying or not. So when he says "we have 105 million active subscribers", he means "we have 105 million active accounts". It's like when someone says "hey guys" to a room with both genders, they aren't excluding the women, just giving a generalization that can be taken falsely at point blank literal value. This was explained to me in another thread; however I still believe that claiming this game has 105 million players is an exaggeration. Yes, RuneScape is popular; but not that popular. I don't care if it's free and in a browser, that number means 1 in every 65 (correct me if I'm wrong) people play RuneScape; and that, really, is just farsical.

I set my room on fire once, after being sent to bed during a meal. I [cabbage] you not.

Yes. Besides which, Source:http://www.develop-online.net/features/203/IP-profile-RuneScape Yes, the develop-online article is from May 2008, but is it at all realistic that the game has gained around 90 million more players in a year? No. Additionally, While I appreciate this was at this specific time, I think Gerhard has mixed up "subscribers" with "accounts". An extra 45 million accounts signed up in a year is a little more realistic.
