Are you sure you have to wield the Magic Secateurs when planting and harvesting? I thought you only had to wield them when harvesting to net 10% more herbs. :? It kinda goes along with what's said in the next line about how farming bonus seems to help when you plant stuff. Did that make any sense? :? Yep - the advise about weilding them when planting as well was given to me by a number of farmers with a lot higher levels than me. They all agree that weilding them when planting as well seems to increase the chance the crop will grow. The extra boost from the garden pie or cider also helps when planting. Seems the greater the difference between your level, at the time of planting, and the level required to grow the crop - the more likely it is to survive. So this not only applies to the herbs, it also applies to all the specials where you cannot pay a farmer to watch your herbs. We are currently working on gathering a lot of data about crop yeilds to try and get a better idea about success rates. At the moment we can see a trend as far as the new patch goes. We can also see that it looks like the maxim crop yeilds have been reduced in the last few months.

It looks like the maximum yeilds for herbs has been reduced in the last couple of months. A number of people used to get 10+ herbs from their seeds most of the time, recently 7/8 is a good crop (as far as ranarr goes). As to the new patch, the yeilds seem to be lower compared to other herb patches but it balances out. There you never have to worry about things dying, other places they die every now and then. (Unless you are willing to stand and watch every herb seed grow). Remember to wield the Magic secateurs both when planting and harvesting and to always use super compost. Eating a pie just before planting, to boost your farming level, also seems to help.

Ahem! I think you will find that if you read the guide it says http://tip.it/runescape/?page=blast_furnace.htm What this means is you can put 56 iron ore in (as long as there is at least 28 coal in there), but you will end up with 28 iron bars and 28 steel bars. If you have no coal in there you can only put in 28 iron ores.

Could be that your service provider has made some changes so your IP is showing differently.

Could be down to your internet connection, how busy the server you are on is, what those other processes on your PC are doing, state of your graphics card, how much available memory you have - etc etc It happens to us all

Granite is faster if you are planning on mining and dropping. Some still prefer Iron as they can use it for smithing or to sell. (If you employ a runner to note items for you it can be faster than just dropping what you mine). Good luck

I was burning shades last night. So far only able to burn the ones that drop black keys. But from those chests I got a lot of black and mith armor and some mith and addy wepons ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ as well as natures, deaths and chaos. In the 60 shades I burnt last night I also got 8 fine cloth, so on my way to making splitbark armor. No clues so far, but I am gaining melee exp. fire making exp. and prayer exp. The minimum I get for every maple pyred log I burn is 600gp ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ so far better than selling them! At your firemaking and woodcutting level you could go for the top shades that drop the silver keys and the rewards you get from those chests is a lot better.

Yep - it appears to be one of those new hidden updates! :roll: There is nothing in the knowledge base about it. I think your mage level is reduced by 10 every time you get it wrong and am not sure if there is an effect on your prayer or not. (Both times this happened my prayer was not at full for one reason or another). It would be good to get some accurate details so we could update our random events guide.

You know sometimes your teleport can go wrong (even if you are being sent to the ess mines). Well it used to be if you twiddled the wrong appendage you took damage. This seems to have changed and could be reducing both your mage and possibly prayer. Anyone else come across this? It happened to me when I was mining ess via the mage guild, got stuck during the teleport and gifted with some extra ess. Once I banked it and tried to get back I found I could no longer enter the mage guild. I have been trying to keep an eye open for others commenting about this, but so far nothing. :?

Agility is the only member skill you can make use of if you become a non member. It helps you to regain energy faster. You cannot use shortcuts as shortcuts are only on the member servers - that is part of the reason the shortcut through the fence in Lumbridge was removed.
