  1. 27797 just happens to be the reference number for a rental property called Potter's Cottage in Ipswich
  2. Banned because nothing else has happened on this thread for over 2 hours...

  4. Possibly worth adding the locations / map of the 4 other pig pits you can visit after the quest. Lumbridge is just north of the sheep pen, next to the fence of the cabbage field. Varrock is just west of the loadstone, outside the city wall. Falador is in the south west corner, south of Herquin's Gem shop and north of the shortcut under the wall. Ardougne us just north of the northern bank, just north of the fence where the sick sheep roam free Also you have to pick the onions fresh once you are asked for them. You cant bring them with you. Worth mentioning that there is a small onion field just south of Draynor bank
  5. Well as the servers seem to be offline again i suppose I could be sleeping!
  6. If you really want to compare items use the feature on the items database http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2item_tools&compare If you want to check out a full set up try the equipment builder tool http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2item_tools&build
  7. Shame if you were working on other skills! I am intrigued though - how did you "accidentally got 700k xp"
  8. Very good article Stormy. I can honestly say the changes over the last year or so have made big changes to the way I play. PvP was never something that greatly interested me for one thing I could never swap between the different attacks and eating fast enough to keep up with the other player. (However recently I have been playing FOG and have been enjoying it I suppose its because I dont really mind if I win or lose). I used to consider myself a fairly balanced player, with more focus on skilling rather than combat. (I managed to get 1700 total levels while keeping my combat level below 90.) Problem was I never had much in the way of gp around 2 to 3 mil in cash while all the rest was tied up in resources. This meant I could never buy my levels by spending money on resources in large quantities. As a result most of my resources were ones I gathered myself. The bit of money I made was via Managing my Kingdom and selling flax, maple logs and coal. (I kept all the extras to help with farming, herblore and crafting). When the prices dropped out of the finished item market and most skills became a money pit I made the decision to work more on combat. So I focused on slayer as a means of training combat. So now I have a total of 2008 levels and am lvl 123 combat. I have over 20 mil available to buy things I may need, with about 50 to 60 mil tied up in resources. (I have about 4 or 5 levels banked in construction 2 or 3 levels in herblore, about 2 prayer levels, more than enough logs to get to 99 in both fletching and firemaking, ores and bars for about 4 levels of smithing and a number of farming levels). Problem is, there is very little incentive to gain any of those levels. For instance with a herblore of 82 I can make any potion I may need. Any potions I make, apart from prayer, super restores and Sara brews I would do better selling off the raw ingredients. The only way those 3 potions still gain me money is that I get the herbs through farming or drops and the secondary ingredients I gather myself or obtain from my kingdom. Fletching again very little point. Unstrung maple longs have now become the junk trade item to be used to increase the price being charged for items. Its quicker for me to go do a slayer task to get gp than it would be to cut, string and high alch 1k of yew long bows in fact in the same time I would probably get more from the slayer task. Crafting is one of the few skills I would actually like to get a 99 cape in. Making up my daily allowance of battlestaffs makes money for me. It is also a skill that helps me gain exp in other skills mining, for gold ore and gems; smithing, for making gold bars; mage, for making air orbs and high alching the battlestaffs and jewellery I make. Again the only way I make money is by gathering the resources myself, for instance dragon hides now cost more than the value of the finished articles. It may be just a case of the laws of supply and demand, too many people are trying to work on gaining crafting levels and they all have more money than me to blow on the skill. I dont know how things will change with the reintroduction of PvP and the addition of PvP worlds. It is slightly worrying that it may mean there is a reduction in the number of servers for people who do not wish to risk being in a PvP world. This would mean even more fighting for resources. It may also mean that, for those that are prepared to brave it, on PvP worlds resource gathering is made a lot easier. I dont think the change will make it worth going back to skilling over combat, but it will be interesting to find out the changes Jagex has planned. With the promise of a headline update every month, it certainly sounds like there will be plenty to occupy the interest of all players. \
  9. Yes this would be a very good use for the ring as the low alch price you get is the same price you would get at most general stores. Assuming they had not already got any and you waited till each one disappeared before selling the next.
  10. If you did high alch it you would get 1,200 gp. :ohnoes: Far better to be patient and wait for it to sell
  11. Well if you cut the spars yourself you will save yourself the time it is taking you to walk to Jimuna's store to unnote them. You will also be getting favour for cutting back the jungle.
  12. DONT HIGH ALCH IT! Stick it on the GE and leave it there. It will usually sell overnight.
  13. Try cutting the spars yourself by cutting back the jungle. You also get favour for killing the spiders, snakes, mosquitoes, broodoo victims and tribesmen that are hiding in the area of the jungle you cut back. Guide link.... http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?page=taibwowannai_cleanup.htm
  14. Well to start, I suggest reading the quest guide. http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=57 Skill requirements are 42 prayer (though 43 and protect from melee would be a lot better) 45 herblore 50 agility, crafting, smithing, strength, thieving, woodcutting 52 Mining 58 Magic There are also a number of quests you need to have done first If you feed your stats into the quest calculator http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?quest_calc It will show you what quests you can do and tell you what you need in order to be able to do the quests you cant.
  15. Well I used to kill Ice Troll Runts for my slayer tasks, mostly because I always ended up with a granite or rune shield or two. Dont think I got many charms from them - although i'm not sure i have had that many troll tasks since summoning was released. But from what I know - for charms stick to the mountain trolls and the troll generals.
  16. The Cave Crawler is called "Monstrous Cave Crawler" You will get poisoned by it, so take anti-poisons. It attacks with range, so range protect prayer would be good - possibly some prayer potions. Prayer boosting gear would make your prayer last longer, so thats a good idea. You cannot poison it, but the Dragon Dagger specials may be usefull. The basilisk boss attacks with mage and it also has a stat drain. So you will need restore potions and the mage protect prayer - again prayer potions and prayer boosting gear. The stat drain cannot be protected against, so keep an eye on them and use the stat restores as necessary.
  17. Try this http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2monster=&orderby=0&keywords=&levels=All&race=17
  18. There was a guide written just for people in your position http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=new_members_P2P_guide.htm The addition of the people you can work for in Lumbridge will mean that some of the Low Level Money-making section will need to be rewritten, but it should get you started. Welcome to members, enjoy yourself
  19. Sorry - I think this guide has been rescued from an archive. Will try and dig out my notes and put back all the missing words
  20. With the expansion of the map for the new Ogre spa in Oo'glog, has the placement of traps and best spots to use been affected at all? (ie you can no longer depend on the edge of the map to limit the wandering of the chinchompas that spawn at A and C) One of the things I liked about gaining access to the pools was that after a quick dip in the mud pool for a while I could lay 5 traps rather than 4.
  21. Not sure if I was plain unlucky or if these things hop servers as well, but last night I encountered the Ork while doing a clue in the lesser demon's cage. During the chase around wild I managed to log out and switch to 3 different servers. Each time I logged in there was an Ork nearby to greet me. First time I logged out I was by the church, second time I was by the cemetery. Eventually I headed north to the Obelisk with mage protect on and managed to get out of there. (Feeling paranoid and out of food I went to Edgeville, switched chat off, hopped servers again, re-equipped and went back to do the clue). Luckily most of the mage attacks splashed as I was wearing black d'hides. When I was by the Obelisk with mage protect on it did hit with me with a range attack that froze me for a bit.
  22. 1) Click the link 2) Scroll down 3) Read the Glossary... http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=beginners_guide.htm#chatting Additional reading for 31337 / 1337 / L33t - Leetspeak http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leet http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A787917
  23. You charge the Tiara by using water runes on it. For every 3 water runes used it gets 1 charge. Wearing it while in the desert means you can leave your inventory free of waterskins. You also get warnings when it starts running low on charges. It seems to be the Scabarite mage attacks that both disease and poison you. This seems to happen even if you have protect from mage on. The bracelet of innoculation seems to have no effect in the cavern. Also it seems you can get re-poisoned right after taking a sip of either super anti-poison or antidote+ (Normally you get a small period of immunity after having taken one of the cures). Remember the Sanefew Serum also act as a super-restore, so not only are your poison and disease cured, you also get back prayer and have your other stats restored - this area seems to be the reason this potion was released. May have to go get more nail-beast nails  If you do kill the priest you can just step out of the room and back in again for him to re-appear. However when you do this you are returned to the normal dungeon and the Scabarites that are hanging about outside or in the room.
