  1. Ah, Nice :) Not as good as the Metroid Sig, mind, this one has no complimentary colouring...
  2. One Major gripe with the Text; It doesn't look natural, and looks as if it shouldn't be there...
  3. Wow, It's looking much nicers with the Lilac strokes... Love it...
  4. Just look around for an Anti-Aliasing tutorial... Pixelart tutorials usually contain something of the sort...
  5. A technique used to smooth out lines... It 'cushions' them, in some sense.
  6. The girls robes could use some tidying, and you could quite easily anti alias using the various shades already on the palette.
  7. Don't blame me, blame ms paint! :P  You should fancy it up a bit :) Add a light border and AA it a little... Some of the anatomy looks pretty wrong too...
  8. Brighten the border, or make it more prominent in some way, and it'll be brilliant :P Metroid is great, and I love the way you actually used some sort of basic colour theory here... Unless that was accidental ;P

    Sup

The borders Ruin your sigs... A sig, in my opinion, or any image is much better with a definite focus point.
  10. You could re-build your website. :P
  11. Some crits on the first one... (the dark one) Where you faded it to black, it'd be much more effective if you'd used something dark, but not black. Maybe you could've picked out the Darkest points with a purple shade, lighter than the real dark shade... That way you'll gain more depth outside of the image's focus.
  12. Try using reference images... I'm sure google will give you some if you ask nicely.
  13. Cheers guys, I was hoping I'd have some back up ;)
  14. Looks nice... Alot of the lines are Jaggy though... :\
  15. You don't like using lots of colours? What?? What's wrong with that?? They're just shades of one colour... This is a pixel... You use smudging tools in photoshop on your pixels??? What? That's not how you make pixel works... Yes it would look nicer, but anyone could just smudge colours together... Antialiasing on a pixel??? Could you really be bothered to go and anti aliase all of this??? And once again, Anti aliasing really takes away the pixel effect. Would you anti aliase a pixel at risk of being told you didn't really do it, and just used some photoshop tool? Like you told Dark to earlier? You miss colours when you look longer? So you unfind them? WTP? Ok, I don't know what you consider a pixel, but anti aliasing and smudging 4 shades of colour together is not pixel work to me. Oh, and you manage to contradict yourself by saying there are too many colours, but you then go on to say Dark should anti-aliase and smudge colours... Well anti-aliasing and smudging colours makes even more colours... Really... WTP?? Okay, Please don't patronise me, I have absolutely no intention of starting a flame war here, but you clearly have no idea of what I tried to say. Right, Anti-Aliasing, Believe it or not, is a widely used pixel art technique. It takes nothing away from an image, but it adds a certain 'polish' to the jagged, monotone lines. I didn't mean that people should go off and make Pixel art with PS tools, I meant that images with no apparent colur-restraints are probably best off using these tools, as there is no limit to the amount of shades that can be made. About the 'Different shades of grey are still one colour' thing. No they're not. Light Grey, Lighter Gray, and (ugh) Lighest Grey, although all Grey, are infact different colours, and take up another slot in one's palette. Sorry if I missed anything.
  16. Heh, Barrows Armour is Ancient... Maybe nails were used then? thought-through Cover-up>
  17. Well. Here goes. Not at all my kind of thing. Way too many colours. For things like this, It would be much better to photoshop some nice lineart, before Smudging together 3 or 4 different shades, to get a smoother finish. In the top-left area of the head (and ear) I found 8 different shades of grey, but I'm sure I could've missed another 2 or 3 if I'd kept on looking. Another thing that could be improved is the Lineart. With 8+ shades of grey at your disposal, you could've carried out some pretty awesome anti-aliasing. Another thing, Pillar Shading. It's not so bad in this piece, but I can see an area (just beside the nose), that seems Shaded in lines. Something that bothers me in alot of work now, including my own, is the light source. Again, I can't see any sort of contrast here... Don't be offended, I feel pretty bad now for saying all of this, but if you listen to the criticism, you'll be a better pixel-artist eventually. Heh, Personally, I'd never try to pixel anything that large...
  18. I personally think you should've been more generous with with the palette. You could make it so much better with som AA/smoothing on the forehead...
  19. The beam seems too 'samey'... And the Circle of light spreading on the planet is too circular, and doesnt match the planet. It shouldn't be perfectly circular, but should be stretched out to both the left and right...
  20. Depends on the way in which you look at it I guess. If you're forever in contact with level 100+'s then I guess anythign below would be classed as low-levelled. For all those people being defensive about the 'I'm not a noob look at my skill total' thing, that wasn't the question... It was about low combat levels, not how 'nooby' you may be.

    Pure??

Usually pures now are trained in all 3... 1 defence, 60 attack, 70 strength, 70 + range and mage lets say. 1 prayer. That's a pure of today... RS1 pures just had no Prayer or Magic.
  22. Probably exactly the same as Durial did... but maybe stay where it was busy, and stand in a crowd, so noone knew who was attacking. Pathetic I know, but I know I couldn't resist the MASSIVE temptation.
  23. Guys are nicer than Girls. Sexist.
  24. Maybe it was a mistake? Or maybe they found it amusing to leave out the server coinciding with the maximum combat level.
  25. I guess it'll be some new helmet... I hope it looks nice, and I also hope it leaves the face / some hair showing. I'll assume that It will be introduced in Al kharid, or Somewhere between draynor and Rimmington, where there is a load of space.
