  1. I think that high levels don't like low levels with quest capes because it shows the lack of challenging quests. When you get to the higher combat levels you soon find that your only challenge is more of a "how long can I stay at barrows/dk without banking" type of thing then a "hmm would my levels be good enough to actually do barrows/dk once". Since quests usually only feature one boss (or one boss at a time) most high levels come out of the fight without a scratch wondering why it was over so soon. So I guess what high level players are waiting for is a quest that features a fight that features multiple high monsters and that actually requires some tactics, high level armor, potions and food to finish. But because a lot of low leveled players have a quest cape too, the chances of Jagex releasing such a quest are minimal because too many people would be unhappy and spam up the official rants forum (even though that seems to happen after every update these days).
  2. Master white knight, only did it because of the possibility of a future quest.
  3. Edit: So you CAN compare guthans to B2P, here is significant evidence of it's power. Although these are infernal mages where you need dhide, it is still significant. This is in no way significant, using Guthans on mage based monsters is a bad idea anyway. Try comparing the two while fighting melee monsters that drop bones, like elves or daganoth. As mentioned before, even though Guthan is much more efficient, having both is the best tactic. You can use B2P on mage based monsters, like infernal mages and bloodveld and in places where you can't use Guthan, like at dustdevils. Another thing why Guthan is better then B2P is that it's actually good armor, far better then rune or dragon. I usually wear Guthan plate and legs with my slayer mask and whip. If you worry about repair costs, pretty much every slayer task pays for the repair costs and more.
  4. The person that bumped this mentioned that he couldn't find a map on the tip.it main site. I say that justifies the bump of this very good looking map.
  5. I did some additional thinking on the monster to drop the marble blocks and gold leafs. Since you want them in a high level monster, why not make it a little tougher then the usual ones. I'm thinking a big guy, on two feet like the dag kings or troll generals, wielding a marble block as a club, able to deliver massive crushing damage. As a bonus you could give it a secondary attack: gold leaf ninja stars, which would be range attack based. You could even make those poisonous :P Drops would include both marble blocks and gold leaf, with the leaf two or three times more often then the marble. As for a location, it would have to be near a city because that's what construction is all about. Falador is a widely used city, maybe it could be right out the north gate to the east. There's not much going on in that area, but it's fairly close to a bank. The area might be a bit tight because of the city walls and the mountain ridge, but the guild could be divided into several floors and the high level monster put underground (why is it that high level monsters sound more convincing when they're put into a dungeon instead of just freely wandering the world. Hmm, no idea :-k ). Anyways, here's a picture:
  6. They do now lol With the drops coming from dragons, you created yourself a new problem. Half the people commenting in this topic, talk about the new dragonhide, not the construction guild. It would make more sense to me if the gold leaf and marble blocks (or the raw materials for it) came from gold elementals and marble elementals, much like the earth elementals dropping elemental ores. You could have them drop the finished product or a raw material that can be converted by the stonemason in Keldagrim or the guild. If you go with the finished product the drop rate needs to be low, if you choose the raw material you could make it drop more often, but make the stonemason charge you up to half the regular price to convert it. About the location, I'm not entirely sure, but aren't there a bush patch, a quest related NPC and some of those quest related valves right where you put the guild?
  7. I take a whip and a d scimmy, this gives you better attack power on controlled then just a scimmy or dds. Also, there's only a 1 in 3 chance you need to switch weapons (if you worry about that), since both the scimmy and the whip have an accurate and a defensive style. As an attacker you hardly need to worry about inventory space, the only time your inventory is used is during the queen round when you need to add [bleep]es to the yellow egg.
  8. I'm suspicious because CS gets a lot of mails, is known to send a lot of automated responses and I don't want to get my (and every elses) hopes up too much. I'd love to see them upgrading the bank system, I'd love to hear about it in a response from CS, but this message is just too vague to draw a solid conclusion.
  9. Nah that's just the standard automated reply for suggestions See, all the mod has to do is fill in the blanks and maybe add something about third party websites and presto, another customers service reply is born.
  10. Actually after 75 ape atol is faster then wild because you never fail and you can risk bringing a full inventory of super energy pots with you, improving your hourly xp rate with 10k+
  11. After RFD the Culinaromancers chest sells 50 buckets too. Since the chest doubles as a bank, that's the best spot to get them.
  12. I chopped oak logs at Castle Wars, noted them. Let me butler unnote them, then let him go to sawmill and make oak larders ;) Ahh, Good plan  Thanks. If you have access to the balloon teleport you could even make the planks yourself, at the same speed as chopping the oaks. Just get yourself a pile of willow logs (1 willow per 27 oak planks) and duel rings (1 charge per 27 oak planks). Here's how it works: Tele to castlewars, Withdraw your cash, axe, duel ring and 1 willow log, use the balloon to go to varrock, chop the oaks next to the sawmill, make them into planks, tele back to castlewars, repeat. It's really fast, beating the regular walking up and down to varrock by a factor 2 and cutting your butlers tasks (and therefor payments) in half aswell \
  13. That was updated a while ago, I was surprised to see that I had 120 charges left even though I had emptied it out and recharged it a couple of times already. I thought you could only get 30-40 charges after the first time.
  14. Did I miss anything that has happened? Any predictions about what is going to happen next? Discuss. 8-) I added some in red that I think refer to updates that already happened and one in blue that might point toward a coming update.
  15. Actually when you build a throne room you'll want to build an oubliette, if you have an underground oubliette you might aswell build a dungeon. But a dungeon with more then 4 rooms is a total waste of rooms, since you can only have 20 rooms total. I just have an oubliette, 2 dungeon corridors and then my treasure room. Even thought it sounds easy, the baby red dragons and teleport traps back to my rocnar in the bonecage make it pretty tough and fun. Don't use too many rooms in your dungeon, you'll end up not being able to build other, more practical, rooms like costume room, chapel or portal chambers.
  16. That happened to me aswell, but I think that was because I was praying during the boss fight and the final cutscene removed the pray-icon from above my head but didn't actually stop the prayer. The prayer draining stoped when I flipped protect from melee on and off a couple of times.
  17. Afking is breaking the rules, in your first post you complained about not being able to go afk anymore, so you are breaking the rules.
  18. So ehm, what you are actually doing here is complaining about Jagex taking measures to stop you from breaking the rules, right? Congratulations, your IQ just dropped 25 points =D>
  19. They actually warn us not to bring our expensive stuff. Sounds good to me :D
  20. /sigh Fanbois who don't read the book and speak off of the movies.. MAKE ME SICK! Or that might be that pizza I just ate... EDIT: Oh, and this smiley is annoying too. =; <-- Stare at it and get ANNOYED! It has to be the pizza then, because I read the book. Don't count on solving crimes with your psychic abilities, because you were dead wrong on this one.
  21. Does the tarn's lair add remind anyone else of the Shelob (sp?) scene in LOTR 3? Especially the last few pictures with the large shadow coming up to him look a lot like Shelob sneaking up on Frodo in the caves. Anyways, I think Jagex found out that advertising in this cartoon-like style creates topics like this and that topics like this probably increase word of mouth memberships. I doubt this ad points towards a whole new minigame, my guess is that they are going to make ads like this every two weeks.
  22. Hold your breath for the fighter plate, who knows ;)
  23. Could that mean they might introduce crossbow wielding squirrels one day??
  24. I'm allways looking out for the best equipment and I hate seeing someone walk past me in armor I don't know the (ballpark) stats of. But now that the kb has more and more stat tables I just screenied most and cut and pasted them together by type. So not guthans set in one table and rune set in another, no guthans plate and rune plate in the same table, legs in the next table, another with helmets, one with shields and so on. Same with mage and range armor. Makes comparing armor types very easy. I should post those tables here sometime...
