With an answer like that it's my opinion that you haven't tried to get a degree in anything either. So should I hate you? Is it your fault that you're not well-informed? Should I form a conclusion that all people who don't post informative answers don't have degrees in anything and that it's their fault for not being informed? 1. People don't need degrees to make it big in this lifetime. Use the internet as a tool, the kids who created google in their backyard probably didn't have degrees in anything. I went to university and studied a few diplomas they increased skills but it didn't make me wealthy. I should probably mention I was practically living in the streets when I was 16, too. [edit] Not by choice btw, my loser boyfriend stole all of my money and got us evicted by not paying the rent with it. 2. A lot of incredibly intelligent people use drugs. Albert Einstein enjoyed a good puff of cigaweed. There's also scientific evidence that some psychoactive drugs can increase your IQ for short periods of time. 3. Some may but that's why I don't donate money. I take them to a place of their choice and buy them whatever they want to eat and drink.

 funny you say that, whenever you're on the forums I get this vibe that you must have been some kind of empress in a previous life if there is such a thing.

I think Reb, like myself, has little tolerance for bull [cabbage]. I don't think he gives a crap about what people post on here, only about the people who actually took something from it. That, and I think he knows how inspiring his mother is and has no problem sharing her wisdom.

What about "hobos" with mental illnesses? They didn't decide to just wake up and go get one. For example, many schizophrenics resort to social isolation and choose to be homeless. For others that is the reason for substance abuse or financial problems. Although there is research somewhere that up to 50% of homeless people who live with Schizophrenia would like treatment if given the chance and right circumstances. However, only 50% of patients show improvement after treatment, so is it worth the hassle? 20% of those Diagnosed with Schizophrenia are Homeless http://www.schizophrenia.com/sznews/arc ... 02575.html Bipolar disorder came ranked in 2nd with 17% and then depression with 9%.

Many people here have much experience, regardless of what their first date was. If you're going to write off their wisdom all together over something completely trivial then you're missing out

"The big issue" is a great way to support homeless people in Brisbane, as Warrior pointed out. Even a homeless man has an imagination, clap your hands, sing a song and smile. Guaranteed to have a good dinner that night.

What is your personal definition of a "hobo"? Because there are many homeless people who come from all walks of life that didn't choose to be on the streets.

Drugs will always be a part of society. That's why there is currently the case for Harm Minimisation. Almost every person in the world has access to some psychoactive drug and most people in Australia use at least one, regularly! Decisions about which drugs should be legal and which ones should be banned have rarely been based on any scientific determination of innate risk or danger of the particular substance. For example "Kava" was used by the aboriginals originally for tribal and ritual reasons but was soon abused as a legal-psychoactive drug. Or Benzodiazepines, which are legitimately available over the counter with a prescription but can be sold illegally on the streets. In Muslim countries alcohol is subject to controls similar to those that apply in most Australian states to marijuana. Yet these same Muslim states allow the use of hash or marijuana. Neither prohibitionist law-enforcement policies, nor prevention through information and education strategies, have succeeded in curbing either the supply of drugs or the demand for them. Many treatment responses have only moderate success. Hence the "harm minimisation" approach was introduced. Harm minimisation tries to assess the actual harm associated with any particular drug and asks how this harm could be minimised or reduced. This approach accepts that: * psychoactive substances are and will continue to be a part of our society * their eradication is impossible * the continuation of attempts to eradicate them many result in maximising net harms for society. This is especially the case when focus turns to eliminating use (demand) or supply. Prior to the development of this approach, many workers in the drug and alcohol field had been facing contradictions in their own domains; domains such as the prevention of drug use, the treatment of users, and the search for humane and consistent policies. The accumulated knowledge of such contradictions contributed for the need to build this new harm minimisation approach. For example when there was a HIV outbreak in Australia and we decided to make a legal needle exchange program in attempts to reduce the spread of HIV, it was successful. This measure is recognised as a major reason the rate of spread of HIV in the heterosexual community has been lower here than in comparable countries such as the United States, where the idea remained illegal (Health Outcomes International, 2002.) Generally speaking, strategies to reduce drug-related harm can be characterised in one or more of the following ways: * demand reducation (education & treatment) * supply reducation ( regulation & law enforcement) * environmental responses that aim to assist drug users to use their drugs in the safest possible manner All of the aforementioned strategies can be used in the harm minimisation approach. I could go on for pages but I'll just sit back and see what everyone else has to say and then comment.

Heard this years ago when I was in high school. Is it weird for me to hope that one day my son turns out like RebDragon? The more I hear about your mother, the more I think she deserves a medal.

If he sells it, it could make it even easier to trace lol Especially since school goods normally have bar code numbers engraved in hidden locations. My cousin was a car thief but eventually justice caught up to him. He broke in to a school and stole most of their old vcr's so that's how I know. He thought he got away with it because he sold it. Personally, I would convince one of your "friends" to dump it in the middle of nowhere and bury it :? And then I would ditch your IP service and give your RS character away to a stranger so it can't be traced back to you that way either. But you didn't hear me say that.

It's a suggestion, I'm not saying it's something you must do. Riku has a very good point and in my own experience Brent and I have completely opposing movie choices. We don't agree on any movie.

yay let's attract a whole heap of pessimistic whingers.

I have no sympathy for you what-so-ever. I also hope you know the police can link this post to the computer you posted from if they really wanted to get involved. Or someone could even recognize your screen name and dob you in, or someone might even know where you live and notify the local police station for an investigation. Tip.it staff could also record your sign up IP and other details and keep them until further notice if they really wanted to. As much as I would love to convince you to turn yourself in and deal with the consequences and start fresh I know you're not going to pay any attention to it. Take it back or tip off the police anonymously where it's been dumped. But they will probably dust it for finger prints and everything and you will still probably be busted. Ditch your friends. You are a sum of the 3 people you hang around the most. If you hang around people who steal, you need to ditch them. This is your chance to change your life around and live a life worth living. Don't f*ck it up! No offense but you haven't even been smart about it. If you're going to be good at something, even if it's stealing at least be bloody good at it. You haven't thought about this very well, have you? Then again maybe that's just it. You do things in life without thinking about it properly first. And that's what got you in to this mess to begin with.

Ringing the real estate to tell them we're not re-signing the lease. 4 bedroom home with big back yard for a puppy here we come :P Mum & dad are coming over in about an hour to spend some time with Raiden. We're probably going out for lunch or something just to get out of the house. Speaking of family, very happy to say that my older brother is finally acting human. It's been so many years that I had given up and then out of nowhere he just starts to speak civilly and pay attention to his nephew. I think his first girlfriend has turned him in to a human being lol Relationship is getting better, the counselling is working. Raiden has a new annoying sound where he growls  Did the shopping yesterday so can actually have a decent breakfast

I wont , and beside hot , she's also very funny : But now , for the advice part: What do i do in the cinema? I've never done a cinema-date so.. ofcourse I pay everything but , just try watching a fun movie , and kiss her afterwards , or during the movie? And what kind of movie should I watch ? She is nasty sometimes and laughs with everything  1. Yes pay, it'll make a good impression but don't do it all the time or she'll make you her convenience rather than her boyfriend. Trust me, the girls and I in high school took advantage of situations like that. "Oh I want to see a movie but I have no money... I know... (insert name here) will pay for me if I ask him to come". 2. Play it safe. Don't shove your tongue down her throat or do anything sexual in the movies. I for one can't stand affection in the cinema other than a cuddle. I came to watch a movie for crying out loud. I once had a date who I thought was so hot and he kept trying to kiss me through-out the movie - as hot as he was, he got introduced to dumpsville. I would make the first move, like put the arm piece up and give her a cuddle or maybe a kiss on the cheek/forehead at most. 3. Let her pick the movie but don't make a habit of letting her, or you'll forever miss out on the movies you actually enjoy watching. It's a give and take, she chooses then you choose the next one. If you're willing to watch a movie that you might not even enjoy just to enjoy your company together it should be expected that she'd do the same for you.

Yesterday/Today was awesome. Made friends with a couple named Kelly & Paul. We all had a ton in common and had a great day, bbq dinner, a few shots and good laughs. Then went grocery shopping. Yum hotdogs... bye lunch time!

What I see here is a mountain made from a mole hill. I really think you should sort your own issues out instead of trying to control what you have no control over. There's a difference between someone who flirts with everything that moves and having a joke. Lighten up, jeez. If you hold on to something too tightly in life, you'll lose it for good. She said she wants some alone time. If you pester her, she'll think you're very annoying and dump you. When you do something out of kindness, don't expect a thanks. You'll then be delighted if you get one and won't care if you don't. Give her a text saying you respect her wishes of alone time and ask her to text you when she's ready to talk.

Well, now you do lol at one stage I was racing Ltangel to 99 crafting but ended up quitting. I think I got up to 6th-10th at one stage. I haven't touched my crafting level since. Used to be ranked in the top 200 overall I know that much. And Pete was combat 85ish when I met him and I was 106. I also got the 3rd ever rune 2h smithed by musashi. And for some reason I have a memory of purchasing my first rune kite for 850k lol and used to sometimes pretend my rune square was a kite. Back then clan BDK ruled the wildy, can't remember who ran it I think it was robin hood and Zar family 2. And then I dated mob dog for almost a year (in real life), which turned out to be the biggest waste of time, ever! I don't really play much these days, every few months or so when I get bored. People log in and ask me if I'm an autoer because they've never heard of me before :wall: Hardly anyone believes me when I say Zezima and I were an rs item but I really don't care. We don't talk much anymore anyway because his girlfriend gets jealous.
-
I don't see what the big deal about zezima is. But that's probably because we dated when he first got 99 smithing (not real life, just boy girl in game rubbish). Still talk to him sometimes on msn or facebook. The dude has issues but at least he's friendly.

Can't remember why I signed up but this wasn't my first forum name. I was actually banned when I was about 15/16 about 6 times, maybe a bit more  I was a board troll (something I hate now) and also started flame wars with all the pkers I hated before Runescape 3D came out. I think it was to either piss people off or I used to also be a staker/merchant and used the marketplace to make gp. I stay because I'm lucky enough to have too much free time on my hands. I have tried to leave twice, although came crawling back when I saw incredibly incorrect psych research which I couldn't help but post and re-educate the person. Third time lucky? Probably when I have another kid or Raiden isn't sleeping during the day anymore.
