Guys, read the update page. It clearly states that the new spells function like the reflex spells, in that they raise your accuracy, not like the strength prayers.

I recommend equiping a bow and then having all the elemental mage attacks at your disposal. Write down all the colors and what attack they mean in notepad and put it next to the runescape window incase you forget. Ranged protect and just eat if you need to. When it turns to the type that you can't attack (melee) check your prayer and health to better utilize your time.
