  1. I asked the npc Blaze that question after the quest, and he says that the king would not, and you would have to redo the beacons to get the item back.
  2. I usually kill just that "one more" after a task aye. I once got a whip that way actually ;-) This was when they were about 3-4M at the time.
  3. Actually it depends on just the wood type. Blaze says normal logs last 10 minutes, and magic logs last for 20 minutes if you ask him if types of trees matter after the quest.
  4. I checked magics with the gloves and ring. Magic without anything = 303.8 xp Magic with gloves and ring got me 319 xp. I didn't experiment around to see if it was a decimal, but even if it was 15 xp extra on magics would be useful. I think that many of the people are underestimating something the adze would be incredibly useful for that isn't woodcutting, firemaking, or even mining related....it'd be pretty convenient for runecrafting with at the abyss!
  5. It is also worth noting that the explorer's ring is very useful for this game if nothing else on f2p. I get time to time extra runes on the the basic element runes. Usually it's just an extra air rune or three extra water runes, but still it's pretty useful. I don't know what lvl of ring it needs to be, but it does it with my Explorer lvl 3 anyway.
  6. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't just touching the stone of jas enough to allow a person to cast magic, and on top of that without even needing to use runes. It's been a long time since I read that old Runescape Lore about the drunk at the bar that told the story to the guy about people finding a rock that all runes were able to be made from, and of mages that could cast spells without the need for runes. As well, for the others that could not runes were made as an aid. This was back in the days of classic.

  8. I noticed that 5 min after the quest came out...doh...I have 3 wc levels to raise to do the quest. Too bad because that quest with the beanstalk took 72 wc too I think, and I got along fine then with brown spiced stew.
  9. I figured that some people would be wondering what the percents are like on getting the runes crafted. Note there would be more law runes than listed, but I didn't get them counted in due to teleporting with them to the altar, and back to the moon clan. As well I failed to record the astral runes, cosmics, and the more basic runes. Now in order of least to greatest. 170/4799 Soul runes = 3.54% of being a soul rune 250/4799 Blood runes = 5.21% of being a blood rune 340/4799 Chaos runes = 7.80% chance of being a Chaos rune 492/4799 Law runes = 10.3% chance of being a law rune 627/4799 Death runes = 13.1% chance of being a death rune 1019/4799 Nature runes = 21.2% chance of being a nature rune. (Note: Part of the reason it's much higher is due to I'd make one trip of nats each time I went to the abyss to repair the giant pouch) Hope this helped somebody out. I'll try to redo things a bit better at about 10K pure ess sometime. As well this was done at 87 runecrafting.
  10. Energy pots are always useful or S-energy pots. Whatever's cheapest at the time really. It's possibly to get 40 trips done an hour with either of those pots. Granted that you count a trip to the abyss amongst those trips.

I doubt this will affect the price of natures, because keep in mind although more people will be using this instead of nat rcing there will also be more people each day able to do double nats that got there quicker by doing things this way. I can get about 2K - 2.1K pure ess crafted this way in an hour, and have 87 rc. I'm very slightly making a profit by rcing this way, but there's the trouble of selling all the runes. Why even bother selling the basic runes though :P Oh yeah at 87 rc I get about 30.4K xp an hour.
  12. An endurance/toughness skill would be nice. It could be how well you can take damage, and receive it as less damage. Of course being combat related in terms of level wise!
  13. It'll probably be sort of like the guthix mace. Where it's a halfway decent melee weapon that can also autocast a god spell.
  14. I think rc pking is perfectly fine. Granted I find it annoying that when it's crowded it takes about 3-3.5 hours of rcing for 5K nats when using the abyss due to rc pkers, but at the same time it wouldn't take the wildy if they weren't meant to die time to time. Also, I used to be a rc pker back before construction came out. I'd just barrage and use addy knives, but more people use 1-click teleports since then, and I decided to respect those rcers that actually have intelligence. As for the rc p kers. They really gotta learn that cannons are the way to go to kill those annoying skellies.
  15. Damage reduction armor or an endurance skill where damage doesn't hurt you as much?
  16. Ok I'm confused on the lvl 96 spellbook change spell since I'm busy TRYING to study for finals...does it only change it from lunar to regular or can it be used to change from lunar to ancient? Also, what's this I hear about it being temporary? Does it autochange back after 30 seconds or so?

  18. I'd swap my 72 smithing and 99 defense around. That'd be a great way to lose 6-7 combat lvls, and really drive those pures crazy lol by tearing them apart with magic, and ranging!
  19. Most of your problems can all be fixed by making your own home tele tablets. I use those all the time, and just stay on lunar or ancient mage at all times. The only exception is whenever some friends want to go f2p pking with me, and they need a mage.
  20. I was fighting 2 dharokers that were cb 116+ on ancient with ahrim one time. Right after I pked one of them, a 3rd one logs on right where the one I just killed was at, and picking up his drop. He whacks me for 60 then 50....dead... People ask me time to time why the 2nd dharoker didn't just attack me. Well, you see he was frozen and cursing me for killing his friend.
  21. Why not get 99 mage and mage melee with some ahrim by using ice barrage? Then you're cruel or "cool" and powerful.
  22. It's totally possible. I used to stake a lot and get on average 10M a day. The trick is fully understanding what your character is capable of doing in each and every staking situation. What range weapon is best for armor on stakes, what combinations of weapons and armor with specs on is going to bring down that person 10 cb lvls higher than you...what is the maximum amount of spaces a person can mage somebody outside of their ranging attack area...all of this and more is a virtually safe way to make up to 10M a day just by starting with some equipment at about 2M and 2M of gambling money. Note: The only reason I stopped gambling is, because it felt like robbing money, is against the religious beliefs I now believe in, and because I got all the money I needed to easily get magic up from 92-99 :)
  23. This should sum it up very simply. About one month ago there was a mass ban on many many green dragon autoers. Since those were banned, those people now have to auto a different way to try and get even close that amount of money. Since there is no easy replacement skill in terms of autoing for this they needed to take up something close in a similar value. This would be sharks when they were at 1K each. However, a month ago there weren't near as many autofishers. Thus, it was halfway decent money I'd suppose if a person had about 2 autofishers on at the same time due to ways I'm not going to discuss on the same computer. The new autofishers had to level up fishing some, which took a bit of time to train up even with autofishing. Combine that with a lot of merchants trying to make a quick buck with buying cheaper sharks, and you get why it was so long before the shark prices started dropping down. Since, autofishers are making less money...the chances are that eventually they'll realize what bad money that's becoming, and then some of them will start up on autowoodcutting...Granted that's a pretty lame idea, but if they were to use a few tellies or magic trees from construction...I guess it could be pulled off. All in all this should shed some enlightenment about how many autoers there actually are on RS. The people that used to pk the green dragon autoers of course already knew that though :twisted:
  24. This actuallly makes unicows worth fighting now....before there wasn't anything useful with a ground unicorn horn that couldn't easily be bought from a store.
  25. Mine is in my HP and low str and attack :P That's right...when others were busy getting 10 def and being str pures...I was busy ranging, and maging.
