  1. I'll give a cookie if anyone can remember the thread about September 10th, what the catch phrase was for that thread, and who made it. That is my favourite thread, ever. (The thread has gone off the last page now :( ) Edit:  Actually, it was a different name, but i managed to find it! viewtopic.php?f=10&t=698762 It's not as funny now cause we have different sigs now, but it sure as hell was funny back then :P
  2. When you are in school you lose almost all your rights. They are allowed to take away your education if they 'feel' that it is necessary. I do agree though, this is absolutely madness. For one thing, all you had was a rhetorical question that did not even reference a group of people or a single person, ergo that shouldn't matter. What I don't get though, is why you are being suspended for something that happened outside of school. Sure I have heard of kids getting suspended for having pictures of them drinking or doing drugs on places like facebook, but thats absolutely different. The fact that this was a problem between you and a person you know shows that the school is taking their care-bare tactics to far, and you should get your parents involved (Trust me, when parents are involved, a school WILL listen). I just wanted to comment on this: I can kinda see where the teacher is coming from. Why exactly did you have to bring up race into this? I know you probably didn't mean it to sound bad, but if I were to just randomly hear that in the halls, I would assume that your saying "Go be with your own people". The basketball thing is irrelevant because it could actually be beneficial to a person to go there because they might improve their skills, where as saying a student should go to a school simply because it has a higher percentage of their race implies that they are better off being around their own race. Not necessarily racist, but kind of unnecessary to state.
  3. I'm sensing a pedophile :P . But seriously, where were you when you took those pics? Wonderland, as I said in my post :P My girlfriend wanted to go on the swing ride so thats why I was there, and the group wanted to go on the merry go round before, so thats why I was on there.
  4. :| They should of just made a whole new console. This is pretty worthless.
  5. Been awhile since I posted any. I was at wonderland two days ago: l] All the other pictures have me and my girlfriend in them and she won't want me to post them, so thats all for now :) Edit: And yes, I went on big kid rides :P These just happen to be the only times that my G/f was willing to take pictures of just me lol. Edit: Sorry to those who were hoping for the maid costume, none today.
  6. I would be out fighting, while mounted on my polar bear. Canadian Bear Calvary (And you silly people thought the CBC was a TV station!) No, In reality I couldn't give a damn, and I would probably just go on living life.
  7. Actually it was Arthas' dad that was talking. The cinematic looks to be a very important portion of the story line as it shows that Arthas does not just have power over the scourge, but actually rules over them like a proper army. Much more deadly then random undead coming at you :P
  8. It dosen't work, trust me. Canadians are taught from about grade 3 on (at least where I am) about healthy life styles and how eating certain foods in certain combinations is good for you. No one listens though and we end up with tonnes and tonnes of obese children too.
  9. It's not durid, its druid (pronounced how it looks). A druid is a class which is in touch with nature and can shape shift into animals to help him or herself.
  10. That wasn't a fight. It was dangerous stupidity and ignorance, not an argument over who plays the xbox next. I agree with agunimon 100% What are you trying to say? Fighting over an X-box and hitting someone with a hot spoon because you thought they were trying to get you burnt are both completely stupid things to do. The point is one is physically dangerous while the other one is nothing but drama.
  11. If you want those kinds of things, either make those topics, or only pay attention to and post in those kinds of topics. No one is forcing you to read this topic. This has been discussed a lot in the project off topic thread. OT: What was the parents reaction :| The kid should be grounded for that.

:| That was a totally stupid statement. I am sorry, but to burn something cause you want to celebrate it isn't exactly the most civil thing. Shall we burn monuments because we want to celebrate them? I would rather see a flag flying high in the sky then on the ground being burned up and then stamped on or put out by something to control the flame.
  13. Power hungry adults. It's not even about mental capacity, it's about human nature. I have seen perfectly normal teachers get mad suddenly and throw stuff around the room or scream, or threaten (not violent but close enough to screwing up students future lives) when they are mad. Teachers are human, and teachers can get mad too. Give them a gun, a source of power, and see how thats goes... Plus with the added gun, what happens with the students? Do you respect a teacher because they are a good person, or out of fear because they have a gun? As I said, the day a gun is needed in the classroom out of fear of another columbine, is the day that we bow down to fear. People bow down to fear every day. And it isn't a bad thing. We have traffic signals due to fear. We have seat belts due to fear. We have pedestrian walkways due to fear. We build fences due to fear. Nearly everything in modern life is motivated - or began being motivated by - fear. There is a difference between fear and safety. Traffic signals are there to keep us safe. Seat belts are there for safety reasons. Gun's are there to enforce fear in people to stop them from doing something. Sure it's a safety reason, but in the end you want to strike fear into people so that they will be under your control.

  15. Found this on the Official forums. Was funny: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/threa ... 1&pageNo=1
  16. The day schools allow guns inside, is the day fear has taken over the world.
  17. Depends what you mean. As much as people like to think it, I am convinced that sky net (from the terminator series) can never happen. A self aware machine that learns is not operational because a computer is only as advanced as a human. AI can't have real emotions, AI cant think and truly adapt (They can in a primitive sense, but not like a human). I am pretty sure there are certain things that a robot will never be able to do that we can.
  18. wow, you got asian fever too huh? did you post pics yet? edit: ooh she's viet huh? gratz =D> How did you find out she is Vietnamese ? Lol you creep :P And I am not gonna post a picture of her and me on the boards just cause I don't think she would like that.
  19. I am willing to bet as soon as FFVersusXIII comes out, ps3 sales will skyrocket in japan...

I see that as different though. Burning an old flag is more of a respectful way to me to end it's life, instead of just throwing it in the trash. Burning a flag to make a point is so much different. Want free speech? Use words.
  21. My girlfriend is 1 year and 9 months younger then me. In my mind I treat her like an 18 year old. No difference (I'm 18). Although the fact that she is Asian... much shorter then me... and very cute... kinda leeds people to think she is much much more younger then me, and I get weird looks -.-
  22. Actually I barely lag in Shattrath. I find that I have more problem in Hellfire then any other region of outland (then again I still haven't been to shadow valley, blades edge, and nether storm.)
  23. Lionheart_0 replied to DaN's topic in Off-Topic
Perhaps it would depend on situations, but I for one would not be happy if someone burnt a Canadian flag... :|
  24. I don't know about you, but I don't have to download programs then, then more to get them to work, ect. Know to run things in a browser you may need stuff like flash or java, but those are like the batteries running a product, it is necessary to get other components to work, and it is fairly easy to install those. MS-DOS was a [bleep] to remember the DOS commands as a child just to get around the system. GUI layouts make things so simple. There is also the addition of two levels of users, basic and advanced. I am willing to bed for those that think that computers are too advance, that they have not even skimmed the surface of the power of computers. There is tonnes of features in OS's like Mac or Windows which people never use simply because they are not advanced enough to find them or need them. The question is, are people advanced enough for computers yet?
  25. Cleaned up some posts on the back page. Remember not to spam people. This includes trying to point out flames and trolling techniques. Just let it rest. To Mlbfan13, remember, people have their own opinion. Edit: After reading more of this thread, I decided I will give my input. There are basically two kinds of anime to me. The good kind, and the bad kind. The bad to me generally is the mainstreem American stuff, such as naruto, inuyasha, bleach, ect. This stuff is more popular in America because it has appeals closer to that of teen soap operas. The real good animes are the not so popular, but still well known stuff. These would be things like Death Note, Elfen Lied, Serial Experiments Lain, ect. Basically the first group has all this action and constantly changing stories going on, which end up making little to no sense by the end, where as the second group are well-thought-out-multi-episode movies. In the end it's all about trying stuff and finding out what you like. I am willing to bet you would like some sort of anime if you actually sat down and tried watching a bunch. Just maybe research them a bit and you will find out which ones could be interesting to you.
