  1. What's making this even worse, is if you look on youtube, there are a bunch of videos on the top list about this, and thats fine, but now that people know it was an asian person that commited the murder, there are hundreds or racists comments being made. It's even more sickening then the murder.
  2. After hearing about it this morning, my first though "This happend in Canada, my country?" It's just a foreign though for me that someone would commit second degree murder. I understand first degree or man slaughter, but for someone to just get up and start killing a random person? That's not something I expect here. It just boggles my mind how psychotic a person could be to just want to kill a person for no good reason (That is what I call evil).
  3. Removed some garbage.... Lionheart_0
  4. Everyone knows that being anonymous on the web has led to a number of things. People expressing their opinion (negative or positive), people creating things without having to have all the light in real life, ect. One thing that has popped up these days is that being anonymous allows people, especially teens, to express their feelings and to open up to a group of people that they wont/ will never know and they will never be known in return. Although there are places specifically for this on the internet (I bet a quick google search will get people to teen help sites), it is sometimes easier for teens to express feelings in places where they feel more comfortable, such as a gaming forum. Although I do think that some of these people should be seeking RL help (counselling, talking to real life friends), there are some times when just yelling out to the world (The net), seems to be the only answer.
  5. Well things were certainly different around here to what they are now when I joined five months after Sumpta so... Meh, maybe they are different, then again I cant completely remember what I did last week, so it could just be me :P In any case, I don't think we can do anything in terms of 'quality'. I will say this though, to tone out noise, it is sometimes good to play music, really loud. (By this I mean if you don't like the current threads, rather then complaining about it, make threads that you would like, or make sure you only reply to threads you would like. If you want more 'quality' try to make it by getting better 'quality' discussion going. Bring up some hot debates, or topics that take a lot of understanding.)
  6. Had he not added the very first line to his post about how he should of pmed someone, I would of assumed this thread was just a general discussion on the issue, and that is fine. But the first line tells me he had a problem with something that was done, and I was the last person to lock a thread under the request of someone else, so it tells me he had a problem with something I did and is broadening the topic to get support of his peers (which is fine and is a very good thing to do, but again, if he had not put the first line to his initial post, it wouldn't come off as more of a subtle attack to me). In response to Lateralus: Lol, please don't bring Powman into this, he just asked me to do a simple task, it was my fault that I pushed the button. The only problem I have with this is that by saying this, you say that everyone on this forum is equal in such a way that if someone posts a bad thread, that it's not solely their fault, its everyones fault, because it belongs to everyone. Ownership of threads are needed (At least I feel), so that we can distinguish between who creates good threads and who creates bad ones. Now, just because I think a thread should have ownership, does not mean discussion should. By this I mean that if one thread is locked due to some reason, it does not mean that discussion can end. Another user can restart up that discussion, as long as it isn't the discussion that is locked out, just the thread.
  7. I do think your right on the first point, something should of been done, but that was the past and we can do nothing but learn from it. As for the second, please give ideas as to what SHOULD be in OT. As the meme says "why so seriouse?" Should we have every topic have to deal with news stories, highly debatable moral topics, science vs. religion things, and the like? Would seem very boring to me. There was a cleaning done BTW. I noticed you joined up around 2006. Well the forums were pretty much as they are right now around 2005/2006, at least from what I can remember.
  8. What if the reason is more "I asked something and it is over, so this thread is no further use". There is a difference between asking a question to get help and creating a discussion. I know this thread is directed at me, so you will next time PM me if you have trouble with my moderating, Lateralus. Edit: I have re-opened this topic. I from now on will not accept ANY PM's from people requesting me to look at stuff. Everyone WILL use the report button and wait in line to get stuff done. This should be locked, but I will leave it open for it's 'discussion value':

A bunch of conspiracy theories. One on how religion is the same and man made, one on the 911 thing, and the other on something to do with the bank of America (Can't remember exactly).

Try and get that warm fuzzy feeling of being safe. Maybe try some sort of warm drink like hot chocolate or tea, and sit in a well lite place doing something relaxing (such as watching tv, like you are doing right now). Just try to put yourself in a comfortable atmosphere.

Locked per author request. Lionheart_0 Upon review and rules, this is being re-opened.
  12. I agree with Mlb, use that sticky please (Refer to above post for link). Locked.
  13. Was that necessary?
  14. I promise to re-open this in a few minutes. Just need to clean garbage out. Alright, re-opened. Lol, notice which users posts I remeoved? No more troll feeding, mmkay? I will also remove that [please be mature] tag. Lionheart_0
  15. Enough. Regardless of how this is handled, report threads. So if you want your ban mlb, I would suggest you start taking an active part in whats known as 'user moderation'. Don't be so hurt about being warned for one thing man. I have been warned for stuff before, and I'm not gripping about it. Second chances are just that, second chances. Dosen't mean it is forever. Now please stop this discussion.
  16. Oh ok, i'll just ignore it and let Tipit turn into 4Chan. Thanks for the help ;) Hey bud, you are over reacting. rushrock has the exact idea, report spammy or trolling posts, and ignore any that you don't want to deal with. TIF WILL NOT become a 4chan. Wanna know why? Because users here care, and are willing to help via reports and by not feeding trolls. It's working. Things are already much cleaner around here, and people are acting more mature. Just because TWO users out of the other hundred on this board start acting up, does not mean anything. And because the staff are not going to ban people for acting this way does not mean we are letting things by. I talked to the two users in question, and apparently English is not their first language. Know how I responded? I offered to help by giving them translators, so that they can post in their own language without having screwed up English. Turning a blind eye to these people and not trying to help them become better posters will be the next cancer killing OT, thats what I think! Lionheart_0
  17. Ok this thread has gotten way Off topic. I'm locking it cause of it's "off topicness" not its 'zero discussion value'. Locked
  18. Oh wtf. You go away for like a year and just expect us to acc... Welcome back =D> Forums were brought down due to unforeseen reasons, and then brought back using the new kind. Ya I often get nostalgia of old games or hanging out with certain people :( Why must I become an adult?
  19. So I'm standing in Ogrim when... Felhounds, thousands of them. Lol spent a good 10 minutes following the guy who had them following him around. Everyone was wtfing.
  20. Lionheart_0 replied to Turbobart's topic in Off-Topic
Well to be fair, the rules aren't exactly 'specific' on this. I am still gonna close this cause it is so old and I think if you want to ask such a simple question that you can google it. locked.
  21. This is what I am talking about. Seriously, read their post history. Why won't the mods ban them already? They provide nothing positive to our community. The same could be for a lot of the community. If you can't understand someone's post, ignore it, ok? Also mods can't ban...
  22. Come on there is a report button guys, use it! And yes, this is an illegal thing to do. MAN UP and face your consequences! Locked, Lionheart_0
  23. No personal attacks, kay?
  24. Don't feed the trolls, mmmmkay?
