A movie could never fully capture a FF game. Take FFXII for example. You can play through the main story and it is rather boring, grinding some, fighting bosses, and beating the final boss. Then you have the side quests, all the different marks, the hell wyrm, the sky pirates den. Now the real meat of the game lies with the marks. Now in two hours we all know they'd focus on the main story. While fights with the hell wyrm or Yiazmat were the real epic parts about that game. This is one example but all FF games are like this. FFVII: the weapons, FFVIII: Getting all the GF's, FFIX: Ozma, FFX: the monster arena. All side quests although the last fight of FFVIII was about the most epic one. If your playing a FF and your bored with the main story, your doing it wrong. If you only played FFXII then I understand you don't see there being much to a FF movie, as FFXII had a boring main story that was all political. In truth a FF movie that was not made from any of the original games could work. If you played one of the more story intensive ones like FFIV, FFVI-FFIX then you would realize that there is a helluva lot to the main story line. The movie would just have to be like those in terms of story. (SE made FFXII with a tonne of side quests to help appease the Western RPG style where you go around and do what ever you want. More traditional J-RPG's are more linear) One that would be really weird, but I'm sure there is room for a great story is Shadow of The Colossus. The original game had a lot to interpret as your own. Plus the Colossi could make for some great battles.

I hope there is a way for me to snag a beta key next time :(. I have thought about cancelling with EB just to pre order with steam to get it.

Starcraft wouldn't work - That kind of game to a movie wouldn't work because besides a few fight scenes it would just be a bunch of political mumbo jumbo. Some mindless action scenes too. It would be just a huge pile of CG stuff. Oblivion/Fallout - No. Too many reason to say why. Diablo - This one could work because there is enough back story that a more current story can be made. Blizzard did well to leave so many openings for this one that a movie would be possible. What I want to see is a Warcraft movie and a brand new Final Fantasy movie that hold up by itself. Blizzard has enough lore for Warcraft that they can do anything they want with it, and it wont just be filled in with CG. Final Fantasy games themselves have always just felt like interactive movies anyway.

It's kinda funny cause we have an EB games and a gamestop in the very same mall near my house. One on the upper floor, one on the bottom. Anyway, Even though the EB was there first, I prefer the gamestop. 1. The EB is in a tiny [wagon] store. On weekends or around any big gift time of the year, it is almost impossible to go anywhere in the store (Good stuff is usually in the back too). The Gamestop is a huge open area. Every time I go in I see no more then 10 people in the store, and it isn't a problem. 2. The employees. There is only 1 guy I like at the EB and I don't think he works there anymore. The rest of them seem to be super Elitist, and always have that "Buy your crap and don't ask us any questions" Kinda air around them. The only time they really perked up was just after Christmas when we bought rock band. They were happy. The Gamestop employees on the other hand seem pretty cheerful, and always ready to discuss something. 3. Selection of games. Gamestop seems to win with selection of used games. It was almost like they sent all the popular used games up there from the Eb. Plus they tend to have much better deals more often on used older games that I want. I try to shop at Gamestop over EB. Unless I can buy it from wal-mart. YYaaaaa 10% discount.

Well at the time, yes the game was much better. I tried playing it few months ago though, and combat is something I have a hard time with, especially after playing Oblvion. Had a much better environment and story, but its just that damn combat.

PC : $49.99 PC Collectors Edition : $69.99 Thats on the Canadian EB games site. I think the extra amount will be worth it.

Ok I am getting the same complaints about the same people all the time. On one side, realize that everyone is entitled to their opinions. Therefore if they say the wii sucks, they think the wii sucks and they are allowed to say that (Although I would hope they would back up their reason with logic). Therefore, do NOT report someone for stating what they think. Now for instance, if one person comes to this thread and antagonizes others into arguing for the sake of arguing, that is trolling. Take everything with a grain of salt, and don't act like children when a person says your thing is not as cool as their thing. I got my pre order for the collectors edition. Unfortunately they ran out of beta keys, so no beta for me :( I'm getting so psyched for this.

And it's 9.50 here. It always amazes me how the states seems to have low minimum wages when they are a country that has a higher cost of living. Any way, ya talk to your boss. If he says no though, I don't suggest quiting, unless your job is actually very crappy. A job is a good thing right now.

I'm a bit confused as to why people are taking a hit on imageshack, or saying they don't want to use them anymore simply because of this. It could of happend to any website like that. It just so happened to be imageshack. It wasn't their fault.

After watching that video you showed Azvareth, it's safe to say that I will be getting this game. It really does look intuitive compared to what else is out there. And it looks like pvp the way pvp should be in all other mmo's.

I like the look of this. I might try it out when it is released if WoW doesn't announce an expansion next month.

Am I the only one here that thinks both? My school taught sex ed, but abstinence was taught as a method of birth control. You wanna go with 0% chance of pregnancy? Go with abstinence. My teachers just said do that as long as you can, but if it doesn't work out, well here are the other options to be safe.

I would also like to state that Starcraft II is nearing end of production is pretty much in beta testing. A huge feature like LAN would not be added at this point in production.

I very much enjoyed the movie. I never grew up with "Transformers" So much as "Beast Wars" (An animal version of Transformers in the same graphics as reboot), but these two movies were pretty much all that I think there could be expected. Robots fighting, with a whole plot based on the past. Although the whole fallen thing was a bit "iffy" in terms of plot, it still worked, and especially when it came to the matrix and the primes. The only single disappointment I have with the movies so far is with Optimus Prime. He himself isn't represented as the whole hearted and thoughtful leader that I grew up to know.
