Noone "moved" anywhere. You underestimate the size of the business. They were ALREADY on Everquest and WoW. As well as ANY other online MMOG you can think of. Well the workers that farmed on rs went to WoW and everquest. Most of those "workers" were bots. There are less bots on rs now yes. But really, if you had the money you could buy 100m+ within an hour to be honest. It really is ALIVE AND KICKING. It may be alive but definetely not kicking Their main activity was gathering gold ingame and selling it to players. that is now impossible. Gold site still selling gold either are outdated, scamming you out of your cash or will offer you some weird way 99% of the old gold buyers dont wanna hear about (exemple : Let them make gold on your account.. trade 3k every 15 minutes :XD: ) And you must not forget the enormous ammount of consumer support personel at Jagex that was working on banning bots ingame, their team can now move on to something else like account trading tracking. RWT can pretend to do whatever it wants but it will have so much trouble doing it they will eventually give up (Most of them already did anyway).

A few Jmods have leaked info. Basically saying that Summoning will be f2p too Personally I don't think it really matters. Jagex are giving f2p summoning, not new quests, not new members items. If they place summoning in between varrock and mortanya: A Souls Bane (No matter how futile the quest seemed), will still remain p2p. Limestone (once again, how little it matters) will still remain p2p. Anyways. I'm just excited about a new skill :D ~Hawt Other sources with the top dog mods indicate the lesser mods were misinformed or talking about stuff they had no knowledge of. It seems pretty solid this skill is only P2P now. Not that I care either. Only quoting because I came back to edit my post above yours. :P Oh really? Then please explain to us how they're going to handle past members being less powerful than f2p players of their levels? They're not going to punish players for buying members right? example : 2 characters are level 60. One goes p2p and gets his combat up to 80 by using summoning. The other one stays f2p and level his melee stats so that his combat is 80 too, When the first player with summoning stats will come back to F2P he will have the same level, but in reality be 20 combat levels weaker since he cant use these 20 combat levels. This is why they have to make a part of summoning f2p. And besides this would make Runescape's popularity grow up tons! Every old player will come back to play the new free skill, and Runescape will gain alot of new paying members! So in the end Jagex gets money, and players get a brand new skill! Everyone (with a brain) is happy! Edit : Oh and please dont answers things like they will just make your combat level go down when you go f2p, that is impossible. This would lead to so much abuse, whining, exploiting.. and is probably impossible for them to do properly.

Well I'm not sure but i killed about 150 penguins on that island north of miscellenia and didn't get any, but maybe the ones in ardounge zoo are different. I'll try them after this slay task and post the results. Do bring telegrab runes or a penguin suit :) Would be lame to lose the egg because you cant get to it :P

Realize what, exactly? I don't understand what the point is here. Realize that F2P players are a vital and major part of the whole economy, even if they dont pay they deserve some kind of recognition. How do F2P players help : They gatter massive ammounts of low level ressources like iron, cow hides, willow and yews, coal and iron, rune ess... And sell it on the market at a price just low enought for all of us high level members to just buy the stuff and be happy with it instead of spending countless hours getting materials at a lower xp rate then we would get by just buying the stuff. Without F2P players the game would be alot less fun since we would have to do these duties ourselves. That role used to be futfilled by evil Macroers (R.I.P.). Now that they disapeared alot more F2P players will find themselves skilling to replace them. Also you got to admit that if there was no F2P runescape would lose alot of it's appeal. Being completely unable to play or just login to talk with friends unless you're paying. F2P is the only source of new members, since nobody would suscribe to the game without playing it

Knowing how unoften Jagex bases important parts of their skills on a random rare drop (Like bird eggs) and after seeing this picture here's my tought : All eggs will hatch into the same sort of creature. the only major difference will be the look! So noobs have a chicken like monsters rarer eggs simply give prettier summon

You could see it that way : Runescape is giving some parts of their game more value so that they become a more important of the game. There are some/most quests alot of players never bothered doing since they didnt give interesting combat rewards.. Now having all quests done will be a very important part of every account. Which simply terminates the pures now and forever. Who wants a 3k limit lol? (Not forever but some will give up on being pures) Same for prayer! They just increased the content of that skill by ALOT. Now it's not just about using protect from melee, but also blessing, repairing, even buying new graves(hard with lvl 1 prayer)!

In my opinion the best part is that even after the even new players will be able to enjoy it! By having other players summon piles of snow!

I think the hunter store was there, they just pushed it on the side. They do that alot.
