  1. GWAR's "I Hate Love Songs" certainly comes to mind.
  2. I'm looking for a new MMO since I'm not really satisfied with RS anymore. I want something new and different, preferrably with graphics better than those of Runescape. I've bookmarked a list of about 50 MMOs which I've seen and I hope to try them out over time, but it'd be nice if I had some direction on where to begin. I'm looking for games that offer a free trial/free version (ala RS F2P) that don't require a retail purchase. I'm thinking something a little different - maybe something sci-fi, historical or real-world, but I'm not averse to a fantasy MMO either. My current list includes Dungeon Runners, Face of Mankind, Rubies of Eventide, Entropia, Talisman Online and plenty others, but I've no idea where to begin. Any direction would be appreciated; thanks.
  3. This is the one and only time I will say "QFT". QFT Also, how is it that nobody has yet mentioned Anal C*nt?
  4. Blink 182 and Nirvana were never about musical prowess, and the former had next to no vocal abilities in my book. And computers? I'm no fan of MCR nor the Veronicas, but from what I've heard not much of it is really computers. Computers applies more so to electronic music and those who hide their lack of talent behind repetitive beats and clicks (no, I am by no means referring to all electronic music with this statement). Could you give anymore relevant examples to support your argument, with specific details of songs that lack instrumental prowess and instead rely on computers? And since when is instrumental prowess required to make a great song? I can appreciate a solo and some kickass licks, but I'd rather here a uniquely structured song with just chords and riffs rather than 10 minutes of pretentious, cheesy and decadent solos for the sake of showing off.
  5. It's scripted so you can say it's fake in that sense, but Mankind falling off the cell? Jeff Hardy's jump from the 30 foot ladder on to Edge? The Elimination Chamber match? You can't fake that. Most of the people who dismiss it because it's scripted are often ignorant and fail to even recognise that its purpose is to be entertaining, not to impress people or make money by picking the team/person who wins. TNA has a habit of not fostering its own unique, younger talent, instead picking WWE has-beens (or wrestlers nearing their end). They also don't seem to have as many characters or as much storyline development. Admittedly, I haven't seen much - I've only seen Bound for Glory 2007 + clippings of matches and whatnot. The wrestling itself is good - it still is entertaining. But, it's also a spotfest, and sometimes that's hard to appreciate. Furthermore is the booking, and the way Kurt Angle seems to be Mr. TNA. They introduce Booker, hype him up as a mega-star, and then have him lose? They give Sting the title, then have him lose it in TNA two (broadcasted) weeks later? I don't get it. Then again, I suppose the same thing can be said about WWE and John Cena, but there's still more diversity and more titles in WWE than TNA. WWE hasn't yet lost its touch or anything - it's still entertaining. The days of the Attitude Era are obviously over, and chances are, wrestling won't be as successful as that anytime soon because of changes in social attitudes. I'm not pleased with WWE's current pushing of faces exponentially more than heels - I know they're crowd favourites, but I'm sick of Boretista and his dominance over everyone, as well as Jeff Hardy's constant victories, meanwhile Kennedy frequently loses, and Orton and Edge are often made to look like [bleep]es. I can understand face favourtism to some extent, maybe 60/40, and I know only a small percentage are smarks and like a lot of heels, but it seems now to be a little too much. I really hope a heel wins the Royal Rumble (Kennedy or MVP) and that Kennedy finally gets some success with this HBK feud he's got going. Another thing that irritates me is their under-utilisation of talent. Why did they wait so long to start using Cryme Tyme in the tag title picture? Let's not forget they won TWO title shots they were never given - one at this year's New Year's Revolution and another earlier, at Cyber Sunday or something. Yet it wasn't until Cade and Murdoch got the titles that they moved from being Heat staples - and they were fired shortly after anyway. Kane is still being constantly jobbed and gets very little recognition nowadays, and they only just remembered recently that they've had Shelton Benjamin on their roster. Londrick, however, despite being huge crowd favourites and immensely talented, remain on Heat. It's good to see some of these things being corrected in the last few months, but I think there's still room for improvement.
  6. They actually allowed it on the Wii? Wow.
  7. lT MAKES ME REALISE THAT MY PARENTS ARE HOLDING ME BACK AND JUST TREATING ME LIKE DIRT AND THAT I'M BETTER THAN PEOPLES SAY I AM BUT WHEN THEY DEMEAN SOMETIMES I FEEL LIKE I'M ONE STEP CLOSER TO THE EDGE AND I'M ABOUT TO BREAK I LOVE YOU CHESTER BENNINGTON Mainly (and evidently) because I can use it for elitism.
  8. Not sure how well-known this guy is, but I just stumbled across him on a video posted by a friend on Myspace. He's a British stand-up comic/actor/radio present/writer who's been in said professions for about seven years. He's written a book and has his own show and has done numerous stand-up comic appearances (such as on Live Earth). He's a bloody genius and seems to seemlessly speech pattern from that of a working class Briton to a member of the intelligentsia. He's fantastic. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russell_Brand Videos: - Award acceptance speech - At Live Earth with Rickie Gervais - At the Secret Policeman's Ball - Banter with Noel Fielding
  9. Wait, what? Well, sh*t - I guess I can't say "where's the beef" because I might offend vegetarians!
  10. http://www.wtol.com/Global/story.asp?S=7412673 "WEST CHESTER, Ohio (AP) - A widely performed school play has been canceled by officials at a suburban Cincinnati high school after complaints from a local NAACP official. Agatha Christie's "Ten Little Indians" was to be performed by students at Lakota East High School this weekend. The play is based on Christie's 1939 mystery novel. But local NAACP president Gary Hines says the play is inappropriate for a school production because the original title for Christie's novel used a racial slur. Lakota East senior Luke Null, who was to play 1 of the lead characters, says the play itself has no racial undertones. And the president of the Lakota Board of Education, Joan Powell, says she's concerned that the school district is getting into the business of censorship." Let me be the first to say ... HAHAHAHAHAHA
  11. I guess because they generally have a limited knowledge of politics. But then again, so does the rest of the U.S., so I'll just shut up right now.
  12. You've worded the question ambiguously. Do you mean would we vote now if we were 12/13 and in our current mindset, or during the mindset we were in when we were 12/13, or if people should be allowed to vote at that age? In answer to all three: well, in my current mindset, yes. As a 13 year old I opposed the war in Iraq so I suppose that must've meant something, but I wasn't worldly or knowledgeably enough so no. Given the current education system and its parameters, people of that age probably shouldn't have the right to vote, no.
  13. :( Sad Very sad. I'm surprised they haven't been shut down already for hate crimes. interracial = dog and human etc... To my knowledge, interracial generally means different groups within the same species - they've just applied their own context to it.
  14. http://www.undercover.com.au/News-Story.aspx?id=3525 "Kevin DuBrow, 52 year old lead singer for rock band Quiet Riot, has been found dead in his Las Vegas home. DuBrow's body was found on Sunday afternoon after friends became concerned that he had not turned up for appointments. At this stage, a cause of death has not been stated. In a statement at his official website, Quiet Riot member Frankie Banali has said "With Kevin's passing a very large part of my life and my history has come to end and I can't imagine life without his presence". "I've not slept. There is such a void in every part of my life now. I can't find any words to say that make any sense of it. I can't fix this, I can't change this and I'm expected accept the unbearable. I can't utter a sentence or think of my dear friend or even say his name without a flood of tears". "I can't stand that I won't hear his voice on the phone. I can't stand that I won't step on a stage with him again. I can't stand that I won't share another day with him. I can't stand that I won't sit across from him laughing. I can't stand to go past the room and see the awards we earned and shared. I can't stand that life is forever changed. I can't stand that I can't change this. I can't stand that I have to accept this". Dubrow formed Quiet Riot in 1975 with guitarist Randy Rhodes. Rhodes left the band to join Ozzy Osbourne but was killed in a plane crash in 1975. Quiet Riot scored their first hit in 1983 with a cover of Slade's '[bleep] On Feel The Noize' in 1983. It was the first metal song to make Billboard's Top 5. The success of the single was the catalyst needed to push their 'Metal Health' album to number one. The album clocked up more than 6 million sales. In 2005, DuBrow reached a benchmark level in the music industry. He was a character in the Simpsons. In the 2005 episode, The Father, The Son and the Holy Guest Star', DuBrow played the part of the singer in a Christian rock band called Pious Riot. Bart called them a "crappy rock band from the 40's" and DuBrow answered back "we've played more state fairs than The Beatles". Quiet Riot's last studio album was 'Rehab' from 2006. On a personal note, the staff of Undercover would like to send condolences to the family and friends of Kevin. Kevin was a regular reader of Undercover News and often emailed us Quiet Riot news."
  15. Notice how the seconds get longer in the later nights?
  16. He does put on a hell of a show - very extravagent with a lot of extra visual elements etc; very theatrical without being insincere. However, don't expect the set to be too long - he only played about an hour & 15 minutes for each show on his Australian tour, and that included intervals between songs due to costume changes, so probably came down to an hour 5. Probably due to the strain on his voice that comes from his vocal style. Still, be prepared for a kickass show.
  17. Very well said there, but I still doubt that will deter most people.
  18. That's communism in action right there. I'm not that big on Christmas. The consumerism, the shops forcing everything down your throats, the ads, the crappy hollow Christmas television - it really starts to piss me off after a while. I like the family part but half of my extended family won't be at this one so that just sucks. Having said that, a 360 and a new bass amp would rule. Im going to go out on a limb here and guess you've never seen, "A Christmas Story". The kid asks for that rifle the entire movie, and people tell him, "you'll shoot your eye out". It was a joke. Chill. No, I'm just mocking the fact that you appear so pro-socialist yet post in a gifts-for-Christmas thread. Haven't you noticed my remarks? I've responded to you in such a manner in like three other threads. I guess my trolling level isn't high enough. :(
  19. Or you could go against the grain and propose to him? It would be a hell of huge surprise for Christmas.
  20. For a thread about marriage, there sure is a lot of hate and heat here. Personally, it depends on how I feel and what sort of a relationship I have with the other person. Right now, the sort of thing I'd want wouldn't be on either extreme; it would be something memorable in a nice garden, or maybe a nice quite alcove at a park, on a mild autumn day, with a few of my close friends, my family and my immediate-secondary family (grandparents, cousins, uncles & aunties), as well as their friends/family. So, probably about 50 people, after which there'd probably be a nice but low-key reception for a few hours back at my/their place.
  21. "Pornography causes sexual thoughts? Heh. You know what causes sexual thoughts? Let's settle this one, once and for all. You know what causes sexual thoughts? Wait for it. Having a d*ck." Morons. EDIT: Damnit.

  23. I managed to not buy into the whole Final Fantasy fad. That seems to be an accomplishment in itself these days.
  24. 1. In your opinion, what is truth? The human mind's perception of something as factual, true and unquestioned. 2. Do you believe in God or Allah or Buddha or any other deity or higher force, power, or being? Not at this point in my life, no. 3. Can you give any reasons for why you believe/disbelieve in the above? I see no evidence for its existence, and I find the atrocities of the world indicate that there cannot be a benevolent, omnipotent otherworldly diety. 4. How would you describe this being etc(the answer to number 2)? (If "yes to 3") N/A
