Tried a solo run (yes my stats suck but hey). I lasted about 25 minutes (well my titan died and I forgot extra pouches) and killed 57 of them (slayer task). There not for the faint hearted, but are a very quick way of doing them for a slayer task. I plan on doing any slayer tasks over 150 waterfiends using this method. For anyone wondering I was using SGS with glory (yes I need to rebuy fury) dhide, d bones, life, barrows gloves and slayer helm. Yes the cheap mans setup, but it is my sgs ;) Is it me or do they drop more cooked sharks then at the cavern?

I second this. If I recall correctly the max junk per hour is 300k where as the max gp per hour is 900k+. Only junk I've ever created was training fletching, addy arrows (zammy gwd) and trading shards for gp (brought for 22gp/shard from pouches sold 24gp/shard with 1 gp in junk)

Use the north and south. 2 open the north door then the south. 1 runs back to the north door, the other up the south. Then simply range/mage the support.

K glad you explained those little things. The RAID 0 issue is more about downtime. Unlike a scheduled reinstall where you have time to backup any important information its bam disk dead. You'll also need to order, have it shipped then install (atleast a days down time). Maybe RAID 0+1? I've never seen a true review of any of there fans (ie with the dba readings, cfm and variations on the voltage) and I take amazon reviews with a pinch of salt. Thats one hell of a media collection :shock: :shock: :shock: The monitor is still worrying me a bit.

You forget about Turoths and Kurasks, as well as people who haven't unlocked EE (or don't have the cash for SGS) or are short on gp yet love slayer. Hell if you don't have an SGS on some prayer tasks d b axe is as effective as any other spec, as you saves enough gp to justify using the higher aggressive prayers. It annoys me when people write db axe off, it has got its uses at lower levels and even some higher levels.

Summer's End was a bit boring. Theres been lots of talk about the updates I mean a lot and this merely said this bit affected this as did this. I would have liked it to look at the more varied sides like is the auto cast update pro or anti RC'ing, did MA actually remove junk, he/she missed out the dwarf quest completely from the future quests, was the extra room merely to drum up summoning interest and so on. I think it could have been expanded on or maybe single out the summer relevant ones and expand on them. And the other article well its just a bit of advertising :? .

Thats not always true. When training Str, Saradomin Sword wins. Peroid. End of story. Over. Done. kthxbai. Even if the monster has over 80HP, the SS will kill it faster. The GS can't always 1 hit it. Unless you AGS spec everytime in Str gear and hit, its hard to hit an 80. That means you have to hit atleast 2 times. Thats 4 hits for the SS. GS must hit two consecutive 40s, while the SS must hit 4 consecutive 20s. Much easier to do the latter. A GS hits 2 times per whip/SS 3 times. So the SS would need to hit 3 27's..... Its not half the speed. Remember GS's have a lot higher attack bonus so you miss a lot less. I'm not saying GS's are better then SS for training. I'm just saying there are a lot of monster which you'll hit better with a gs then a ss. Again the zerker necklace+obby weapon combo can be better then SS if its a low defense monster. SS is the best general strength training weapon, but not the definitive.

Ok I'm in a ranting mood and I've got 2 subjects. One is about the game so it goes in rants (Rant board its pretty simple), but where does a rant about a TET event go? Before anyone recommends I either post in the TET board or PM the person in charge there are 2 reasons; 1 It needs its own topic as its a pretty big rant. I don't want to disrupt the main post and I can't post on the TET board. 2 I'm pretty (for lack of a better word) niffed off about it and need to rant, pm'ing will only turn into an argument which I don't want. I'm stuck as its TET related not RS related and has nothing to do with the forums in general, just the TET event and how it was handled. Like I said I don't want to PM about it, I don't want it hidden and I don't want to disrupt anyone elses post. Thanks, Joe PS. Can't find any reviews of those fans (120mm coolmaster ones) so I'd stick with Scythe Flex 1200rpm. Caseless systems are worse then a cased system (with a good case) for cooling. I still think you need to rethink RAID 0 for the OS if your going to be running AD, exchange and doing what you want it too. I would recommend you read my first post again

Just make sure some of the dhide is zammy (take sara too if you want). With bunyips and baskets of strawberries you should be fine. Just range pot. Of course this is most likely out of your budget, but you just said you had money.

Heavily OC'ed tri-sli 295's and i7? I dont think 1000w is overkill at all. Mind you, PSU's run most efficiently at around 80% of their maximum. I'm currently running my i7 920 at 4.0ghz (211x19). Compared to stock my computer now uses ~150 watts extra, you can expect similar increases on the 295 OC'ing. I think if anything, the 1000w is too low. RAID0 is great for performance, and hes using non-raid hard drives for storage. No problem there either. I do agree with the no DVI on the monitor, that sucks. (assuming its true, I havent checked) Tri sli'd 295's will be obsolete before he needs sli in there. RAID +0 for the OS sounds nice, but do you really want to install the OS again which would mean you'd have to install all the games and apps (even if there installed on the other they will still need the registry to work correctly, well without there all steam games and all the apps are portable versions). If he has 2tb of music, videos and photos then I'll be a monkeys uncle. Theres getting a system for the job and then theres spending money for the hell of it.

Personally I saw that list as was a bit shocked. 1000w is an overkill even with double everything you have there you wouldn't reach 1000w on load. RAID 0 harddrives for something which needs to last is a no-no as RAID has a very high failure rate. Monitor connections are questionable VGA and HDMI, but no DVI. The rest is really down to personal preference. But I would personally make a lot of changes and wait for a few weeks for the 5xxx series from ATI.

Get 68+ summoning and 80+ defence then dk's if you need money + exp. Can be extremely profitable and is 50 to 60k exp per hour. Maybe burst for defence, magic and summoning then dk some of the money back? And yes I'm a massive fan of dks in general.

Super attack and super strength for 99% of melee tasks. Prayer tasks zammy brews and super strengths. Turoths and kurasks db axe and restores+super attacks.

SGS is in a league of its own there (free food and prayer :thumbsup: ). Its possible with ZGS and BGS although ZGS doesn't help too much if your sololy meleeing and bandos is about 1 spec per run so its so so.

Remember void stacks with salve so its better on undead if you don't need the defense. If its undead and your on a slayer task 9/10 times you'll need the helm so stick with fury and slayer helm.

So both (the 2 seaweed) spots don't work any more?

Guthan works great at; DK's Bandos and zammy (tanking for bandos and attacking for either) Camping Slayer (bunyip pretty much owns it though) Barrows Pretty much any combat situation where you can attack in guthans where the damage taken won't be too much greater then the healing ability of the set.

Yea its pretty much the best bonus you can get.

Black hide top, neitz, rune legs (or skirt) then the rest the best gear you have in the slots. I'm just loggin on now to prep for the event (a spot of training and so on) so feel free to pm me in game

You could last but it would cost you more and you wouldn't get many hits off. Replace the recommended sharks with sara brews and keep your defence potted above 65, you'll need to use super restores instead of prayer pots. Take bones to peaches tabs too. I've seen berker pures last a few hours in a group with a tank (was me at the time). The trouble is balancing your defence, you'll need to get a high range, magic and melee defence.

The only person on TIF I know has tried them was gorgoroth. I think he got 40 to 50k exp per hour with about 100k in drops, but it was a long time ago so I might be wrong. Just wait for him to post.

Are you stats the same ones as your sig? If so spend half on summoning and prayer then the rest on equipment.

A. I heard its simply moved location, but I can't confirm it. B. CoG is upto 10% faster and the prayer bonus of void mace adds up fast. C. There was after the change I'm not sure. It was simply put long range on and stick to the corner. D. Depends, but the Tip.it guide has pretty much the best ones. I plan on doing a few trips tomorrow (daganoths slayer task ftw) so I can give you more information then.
